  Hello

  Is it possible to not have to re-edit the active link every time I spend between my desktop and my laptop when you work with the Muse? I have all my files in the cloud to Adobe, and every time I save and sync to my desktop, then open the files in Web site while traveling on my laptop, I have to spend a bit of time going back through and restoring links everything that I had done on my desktop. Files are taken from the same spot and registered to the same place (the cloud), so I don't know why I have to go back through and connect it all that I had just created when switching between desktop and laptop.

  Hi Davz,

  You will be able to use and edit your Muse file, even if you don't re - not link assets.

  It's just that you won't be able to change these assets, so you can redo the link assets whenever you need to make changes to the active files.

  Every time you switch machines, please save the latest version of your Muse file on a local disk and then use it. Using a .muse file saved on a cloud, or removable hard drive can cause problems.

  Also, I suggest you save a copy of all the files of components in a single folder (a local location, not the cloud or the removable hard drive); so, when Muse invite you to re - link assets, you can add a link to one of these files, and Muse will look in that folder for all your other missing links.

• Confused by UAC - worry about difference between desktop and laptop needs fixing.

  My computer laptop and desktop are installed with Windows 7 Ultimate x 64, both with all Windows updates current (apart from things like Bing Office).   The only difference I know, is that the laptop has been installed since a disc with SP1 integrated installation, while the Office was set up at the level of basic and SP1 installed later.

  Both have UAC turned (apparently) the same level (up to 3/4), and secpol.msc shows the same UAC settings.

  If I run Photoshop 9 (CS2) on the laptop, press F1 for help, I get a UAC elevation prompt before it displays help on the desktop it just goes straight to the help.

  If I double click on a MSP file in the laptop it has a (quite rightly) UAC elevation prompt before allowing the update to be applied.  On the desktop it just installed the update.

  UAC works on the desktop to a certain extent, as for example if I try to run a command as Administrator window, I get a prompt for elevation.

  This is worrying because it seems that in some way UAC has been partially disabled on the desktop from the laptop, and as much as I know I did not do anything to cause this happens.

  Details on what is happening and help solve this will be greatly appreciated.

  Well now that's interesting, after having reactivated the Protection System (System Restore) and change the UAC level up to maximum and back down again on 3/4, it now seems to work as expected.

  I'm still a bit confused, but at least I'm getting now guests of elevation when I wait for them.

• Windows Easy Transfer will not work for me between my old laptop with Windows XP and my new laptop with Windows 7.

  I am trying to transfer my files to my new laptop with Windows 7 for my old laptop with Windows XP Professional, using the Windows Easy Transfer, that I found on my old laptop.   I tried to make the transfer through my home wireless network and when that did not work...  I connected the two laptops with a cable (the same style of cable, used to connect his computer to a modem or router, not a cable SSB).

  So in summary, I just want to transfer all my files from my old laptop to my new laptop.   I copied the master file of my data from my old laptop on a "stick" assuming that I could download just to stick to the new laptop.  (I have a lot of "sticks" here.)   The idea did not work, of course, results otherwise wouldn't ask this question now.

  If you had previously copied simply data (documents folders) via a key files should be no problem during the copying of that stick to the library on win7 locations, and is there's this which is exactly the err MSG?

  I have a desktop computer on which I installed Windows 8 Pro and bought a new laptop that comes pre-installed with Windows 8.  The problem is Hyper-V does not support my old office and my new laptop has no Hyper-V (because it doesn't have Windows 8 Pro) for Windows Phone development. Is there anyway that I can move licenses between these 2 machines without formatting systems? Or even if I have to format for interchangeable licenses, it would be OK.

  You cannot transfer the license pre-installed on laptop computer on the old office. But you can transfer the Windows 8 Pro license currently installed on the desktop to the laptop. You will need to reactivate phone

  Hello

  I used to run indesign CS5 on my old laptop.  Now, I have a new laptop and want to transfer indesign on it.  I installed indesign CC2014 as this seems to be the only version available from the cloud (?) of Adobe.

  However when I try to activate using the serial number provided initially I get the error "the serial number you entered is invalid.  Please try again.  If the problem persists, contact customer service.

  Online chat Adobe told me to post here for a solution.

  I would like a link to download indesign CS5 that works with my existing serial number or a new serial number that are compatible with the version CC2014.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Transfer does not work.  If you have disks, use the discs.  This assumes that your laptop is a Mac - Creative Suites are platform dependent.

  You are allowed to have two active facilities, so you can leave it on the laptop if you could use a backup.  If you prefer not to, then you should disable it on the laptop in order to free your activation for future use.  TPO disable just to open one of the applications and choose Help-> Deactivate.
