transfer of documents to the music

Bit of a windows newbie question 8.

I removed the hard drive from my old dell laptop broken and all my music on it transferred to the new computer laptop.

So I have all my CDs in my documents and I can't find a way to transfer them to my music.

I have no doubt it's easy when you know how.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Rick

Simply open a file in the documents and the other in the music.

You can then drag all the folders containing your audio files in the music folder.

  • Lost in My Documents after the failure of the system files

I have a (~ 6 years old), Dell Precision Workstation 360 serice XP Pro pack 3. This morning when I got up the screens show vertical bands of color. Given zero has nothing - not even the selection screen or function key boot options to enter the bios Setup. In brief - not even a partial boot - just (double) monitors show the vertical lines of color. Encryption on the motherboard could have found death I took the C: drive and plugged into one another computer (XP) via one box drive external usb. In windows Explorer I can see just about everything that I expect to see on the drive except in the My Documents folder. I don't know what should be there, but the only in My Documents is the music of my pictures of my user name and user name. The only items in these folders are the XP sample music files and images. I did a search on the entire disk for a couple of files that I know should be in My Documents, but nothing was found. Since then, I ran a virus scan using Norton Internet Security, but he found no virus. I've got some critical files on this disc I need today. Stupid me - had not saved them in a few weeks, so a lot of work is missing.

Any assistance to resolve this would be greatly appreciated.

It seems that there are file system corruption, after the failure of your hardware. Try some recovery software data (links below) or, if data is critical and expense is not a problem, don't take any chances and send the drive to a professional drive savers data recovery company.

  • Unable to transfer manually the music to iTunes on iPhone 6s

For the life of me I can't understand what is happening here. I have iTunes on my iMacset to transfer music manually (see screenshot), but when I drag an album to the music from my iPhone it does not sync. It shows that the album is moved so I have no idea of what I'm missing.

You don't have iTunes to synchronize manually. Uncheck "automatically sync when this iPhone is connected". When you plug in your iPhone you then click on the sync button and manually synchronize or drag them to the iPhone, or you can check the box in your Options "Sync only checked songs" and then choose all or some of your songs that you want to synchronize and they will be synchronized when you select the Sync button.

    Good luck

  • How can I transfer only the music I want?

    Hello.

Our iMac iTunes is full of music for the whole family. How can I transfer only the songs I want on my iPod and my iPad?

    Second...

When connecting from my iPad to my iMac USB cable the iPad goes into sync mode and transfers all sorts of things on the iMac and gets things from him. All I want is to transfer my music? How can I do this?

Create your own playlists in iTunes.

Connect your iDevice to the iMac - in the main iTunes window select your iDevice - menu drop-down upper left box located to the left of the music-movies, etc.

You will see a list of 'Settings' for this device - select a tab and check the boxes of what content you want on your device.

Also in the Group of settings select 'Summary' - from there, in the 'Options' section, you have a few additional items to choose from.

  • transfer the music library (not bought) one Apple ID to another

DH has used my iTunes/AppleID account download her CD to the Mac, and then on his iPod.  He recently got an iPhone with its own AppleID.

We would like to have the iPod and put all his music not purchased on his new iPhone with its new AppleID.  How can I transfer his playlist of music not bought at its new Apple ID?

Whenever I have to 'create' a new iTunes Library, even when I'm out of iTunes, it automatically opens with all my music and my iPhone connects via WiFi.

DH has used my iTunes/AppleID account to download her CD on Mac

In fact, he was using your iTunes library, not your iTunes account or Apple ID.  When you import the songs from the music CD, your Apple ID is not involved.

Is "DH", the initials of the other user?  If DH does not have its own computer, create a new user account on shared Mac.  You can do this in the Preferences system users & groups window.  If you are the primary user, you can make DH user Standard (not administrator) account.  In this way, the Admin authorization ("your authorization") is necessary to make changes to the system for the Mac.  Log out of your user account and have DH, sign in to his new account user and things together upwards to use his Apple ID.  When it runs iTunes in this new user account, it's HIS iTunes library, not your library.

Return to your user account, scrunch a new folder (on the desktop) and name it something like the Songs of DH (or whatever you want).  In the window iTunes (with your normal iTunes library), use some view is more convenient to show your library iTunes music.  Dragged the songs of DH of the iTunes window to this new folder on the desktop.  For example, if these songs from music CD, using the view Albums can be more convenient, because you can drag entire albums in the folder.  iTunes copy the song files in the folder of Songs DH .

Once the file has all his songs, copy it to a shared location.  You can use the folder users / shared , which is accessible from two user accounts.  Have DH to connect to his user account.

NOTE: You can enable the fast user switch to keep the two users connected at the same time, to save time when switching.  Password is still required to switch between user accounts, but you can ignore the disconnection and crosses the login screen.

Drag the DH songs folder from the shared location and drop onto the iTunes window, to add songs from the iTunes library.  OR, in the iTunes menu bar, use the command file-> add to library , and select the folder of Songs of DH .  Once the songs in its iTunes library, connect the iPhone and set up the synchronization as you wish.

Depending on the context, I'll assume that you are asking how to unload files of songs from an iPod to a computer.  iTunes synchronization is generally in one direction, from iTunes to iPod library. You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer (with the exception of songs purchased from the iTunes Store)

NOTE: Songs purchased from the iTunes Store can be downloaded again free of charge, on the iTunes Store purchased screen.

Download your purchases past - Apple Support

However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few links (including a CNET article on the subject).  Once the files of songs from the iPod to your disk, add them to your current iTunes library.

Further, you should backup your iTunes data.  Apple describes a way to back up your folder full of iTunes on an external drive.

Manage and backup your iTunes media library - Apple Support

This method should also be used when switching from an old computer to a new computer.  By transferring or restore your complete iTunes folder, it's the same iTunes library on the new computer, not a new iTunes library with your old songs.  iPods are not designed to be your data from iTunes backup.

  • I can't find the music on my macbook folder to transfer my iTunes media folder in

I am trying to transfer my iTunes media folder in iTunes, but I can't find the music folder

Choose home in the Finder Go menu, double-click the element of music and drag the iTunes folder there.

If you have only the iTunes Media folder instead of the iTunes folder, do not consider the above step, start iTunes normally and drag the iTunes Media folder in the application window open iTunes.

How can I transfer all of the music files to another user account

In simple terms, simply copy it to an external drive and then copy them back as the other user.  If files are protected by DRM (Digital Rights Management) as iTunes from Apple or Napster, you will need to know your service music, if the files can be copied.

  • transfer of iTunes with Apple music library

If you perform a transfer iTunes library to a new computer, and you have the Apple music, your playlists will transfer correctly? Your personal music as well as the Organization of library of Apple's music will remain intact? I see that the Apple music files are present in your iTunes directory, but I have not yet attempted to transfer.

If you clone the iTunes all folder to a new machine so everything should go as if nothing had happened. I don't have an active subscription for the test, but I'm pretty sure I tried this scenario. IIRC, you can't copy music files from Apple independently from one library to another, but in all the library, it should be good. At worst the copied files of AM could be removed, which requires you to download new copies offline if you wanted them.

  • How can I sync iTunes without losing the music

I'm sorry to post a question too incredibly basic, but I want to check that I erase all the music that I recently and laboriously copied from disk to iTunes.

I have not synced with my iPod Classic for almost a year - in fact, I don't think I ever it synchronized with this computer. But I had a bad experience in the past where, instead of copying music from my computer to iPod, iTunes copied the (much less) of songs from the iPod to the computer and erased everything. Not a happy event.

What would be my settings to make sure that when I sync the music will copy only - in a way the computer to iPod?

If it is contained on the device that is not in your library see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device. Back up your library with Time Machine, or tools such as Carbon Copy Cloner or Synkron which can maintain two copies of a folder synchronized with each other. If you start by restoring the device that anything on this subject will be wiped, otherwise if there are purchases made on your account and that are not in your library, they must be copied into it. If there are other accounts that your computer is not authorized then purchases you will be prompted. Otherwise, you can select which can be synched to the device and it will be updated. Your library will not be affected bar any transfer purchases. If something goes wrong, that you have a backup in place to restore.

  • iPod classic. PC I have had all my music on died. can I connect iPod to my new Mac Office and store the music on the iPod in the cloud?

I have an iPod classic 5th generation which has all my music on it. I had an old office that was on original music and he's dead. Now, I have a Mac desktop and other products, apple, iPhone, apple tv, Mac laptop, etc.  How can I get the music from classic iPod in the cloud so I can access it on all my other devices?

Ideally, you have a backup of your user data from your old computer, including your iTunes data, and you can transfer data from iTunes on your Mac.

By design, iTunes sync is generally in one direction, from the iTunes library on your computer to the iPod.  You cannot use iTunes to transfer files of song from iPod to computer, with the exception of songs purchased on the iTunes Store (you can also re - download on iTunes Store free of charge).  However, there are methods and third party utilities that can transfer from iPod to computer.  If you do an Internet search on something like 'ipod music transfer', you should get a few useful links.  Once the files of the song on the drive of your Mac, add them to your current iTunes library.

If you want to make your library iTunes music accessible to other computers and devices (compatible), you own, you need to subscribe to Match iTunes (or Apple's music) gives you a library music to iCloud.

And since you are using a Mac now, don't forget TSF function built-in Time Machine an external drive, allows you to save all your data automatically.  (iPods are not intended for backup data iTunes).
