Transfer of license Windows 8 generator system

I understand it's not OEM or retail Windows 8 but only a system generator full version.

My first question is, if I have a PC with no OS at all, can I buy this OS system generator and install it. (I have a tablet PC with no OS and of course there is no system of construction required for a tablet PC).

My second question is about OEM vs. Retail licenses. OEM should be installed on a system and could never be changed to a new system. The version could be put on any system as long as it is only on a system at a given time. What's the story with new Windows 8 OS system builders.

Thanks in advance for anyones help.

Windows 8-generating system is licensed "OEM."

Yes, you can use it, there is no problem with him and this is the full version which is more flexible than previous versions.

Windows 8 OEM System Builder licenses are more flexible and can be transferred from one system to another. Unlike Windows 7 OEM Builder licensing system that is bound to the first hardware on which it is installed. Its a better value with Windows 8.

  • Hi, how can I transfer my license windows from the old to the new computer

I have a windows xp system recently that the hard drive has no operatre. If I bought a new system can I transfer license windows to my new system...

I'll be able to down load the updates...

It depends on the license.  If you have purchased a copy of Windows XP retail, then you should be able to transfer it to another machine.  If you have an OEM license, however, your license is married to your machine and it dies when your machine dies.  If you bought a brand such as Dell, HP or Toshiba computer, and it came with Windows XP installed, then it is likely an OEM license.

Note that the same install a retail version of Windows XP on a modern machine can not be easy.  The installation CD does not recognize a SATA hard drive, and to install a driver so that he will see the player will require that you have a floppy drive.  The alternative is to integrate driver into your installation disk.

If you plan to buy a new computer, I recommend you go with the new version of Windows that comes with it.

  • Transfer the license windows 8 on a new laptop

    Hello

Two years ago, I bought a laptop with Windows 7 installed on it. Later, I bought a license of windows 8 and had the dvd in return. Now, I want to buy another laptop and transfer that license to the new laptop. There is however a problem, my old laptop died. I can't turn it on at all in order for me to follow the steps to make the transfer of license. Which option I need to find my license so that I can use it on another laptop? Am currently based in Kenya, but the computer laptop and windows 8 were purchased in the United States. What are my options now?

    Manou

    Thank you

Now my question is given that my other laptop is ruined and will not continue to read, activation of phone still work?

As long as its is no longer in use on the old machine, which it is not since you say the machine is crumbling, then phone activation will solve the problem when you upgrade the other machine:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then clickrun, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

  • Transfer the license Windows 8 on hard drive blank

I get together for a custom PC parts, but it is of course not cheap.  However, if I can cut $100 off the total cost, it would be great.  Because I don't want to sacrifice to get a good GPU or CPU, I was wondering if it would be possible to transfer my installation of Windows 8 of my Toshiba laptop to blank disc of the new machine.  Most of the other questions in this forum ask questions about upgrading Windows using another installation of PC, or Windows easy transfer from a PC preinstalled to another; Please keep in mind that I want to transfer Windows Setup my laptop to a new PC (custom).  All answers are appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hello

No.; You can't use it on another PC.

If the computer/laptop comes with the preinstalled Windows operating system (Dell, Toshiba, HP, Acer, etc.) or is licensed to OEM System Builders, that the product key that came with the computer/laptop is preinstalled OEM license and is not transferable.

OEM product/license key (operating systems pre-installed on (Dell, HP, Toshiba, machines etc.) and OEM System Builders license are related to the first machine it is installed on and dies when the machine who dies.)

Only retail Operating System license that you buy and install yourself, are allowed to be transferred to another machine.

And retail licenses also can be installed on a machine at one time.

    See you soon.

  • How can I transfer a license Windows from one PC to another?

Please correct me if I'm wrong about all this - I have collected a lot of that on this site. Thank you.

    in any case, that is.
I downloaded Windows Server 2003 R2 out DreamSpark - a Microsoft site. I received my product key and installed 2003 Server on a virtual machine in Virtual PC, which is a Microsoft product. I activated to ensure that he could do what I wanted to do - and I think that is where the problem started.

Now, I want to install it on a server for the real deal. Is there a way I can do it with the same product key? I can delete the VM product key?
I read that if I reformat the hard disk of the virtual machine, it will wipe the product key.

Please help me get just Server 2003 on the server without any error messages "Product key is not valid!", or something similar.

    Thank you.

  • Can I transfer my license to upgrade to Windows 7 on a new computer? The system on which it is has reached the end of his life.

At the launch of Windows 7 I bought one a version upgrade to upgrade XP on my Dell PC to W7 professional.  This PC has reached the end of its useful life, and I intend to give it up (literally).  I would like to transfer the license to upgrade for my Dell Netbook that W7 Starter Edition is installed.  Can I do this?

    Graham.

Thank you very much, this is very useful.  Can I just confirm what constitutes an acceptable method of removing of Dell PC?  I have to do something to turn off allow it on the Dell PC before removing it?  I can't uninstall it (because the update of XP should be a clean install) so my options are delete and format the hard drive (my supported option, can I use it for storage) or go back to XP using an Acronis Disk image that I kept from the time of the upgrade.  Whatever it is, I imagine that Microsoft have to take my word that I removed?

    Graham.

Yes, as long as its not in use on the computer. I would restore the Acronis Disk image that had saved you.

Is it true that I can only transfer my license FPP windows 7 10 times?
What should I do if I reach the limit?

You can reinstall and transfer your Windows FPP retail as many times as you like - there is no limit.

However, there is a limit to how many times you can use the online activation. After awhile, you will need to use the phone activation when reinstalling.

Installation and reinstallation of Windows 7:

Activate Windows 7 on this computer

Call Microsoft use the manual phone Activation

Note: If you always install Windows page enter your product key, do not enter your key and uncheck the "Automatically activate when online" then click OK/next to complete the installation.

    1. open Windows Activation - click on the Start button, right-click computer, click Properties, then click the option to activate Windows now or change your key.

    2. click on show me other ways to activate.

3 type your Windows 7 product key, and then click Next.

    4. click on use the automated phone system.

    5. click on the location nearest you from the drop-down list, and then click Next.

    6. dial one of the available phone numbers listed.

    7. do not select all options and wait for a person pick up, then explain what happened.

Can move you to a new Windows 7 computer

If it's a full license or upgrade retail - Yes. You can move it to another computer as long as it is installed on a single computer at a time (and if it's a Windows 7 Upgrade version the new computer must have its own qualification license XP/Vista/7). The previous installation of Windows 7 on the old computer must be formatted or deleted. You will have to perhaps call Microsoft and explain what happened to complete activation. Turning it on the second computer will automatically be in effect 'disable' the license for the first computer. The key works with 32 and 64 bit, but can only be installed at a time.

If it's an OEM license - don't. OEM licenses, including Windows preinstalled on a computer before purchase and Windows purchased separately, are related to the first computer, they are installed on and cannot be transferred to another computer. To install Windows on another computer, you will need to buy another copy.

  • transfer a license OEM Windows 8 pro?

    Hello

I currently have the Windows 8 pro 64-bit OEM-based computer (on my box it says Windows 8 pro eng intl for OEM software/Microsoft windows 8 pro 64 bit oem English fqc-05995)
I built the computer myself and bought this Windows 8 from Amazon for £110, I think. My motherboard is about to go but I'm rebuilding my computer, so new motherboard, processor, RAM, so I have to reinstall Windows 8 on the new pc.
My question is... am I able to transfer the license from one pc to the other (the two mines, a fit for the bin) that I have to disable my current license first? and how can I do this.
Or can I build my new pc, format the drive, install Windows 8 and reuse the key?

  • I bought an OEM version of Windows 8 64-bit from an online retailer. Think about changing the motherboard and I can transfer the license to it or not?

I bought an OEM of Windows 8 64-bit of an online retailer and I was wondering if this is considered a one-time activation? Because I think about replacing my motherboard and there seems to be a lot of conflicting info on knowledge if I can transfer the license or not.

Original title: reactivation of Windows 8

If this is the license OEM System Builder, that you bought, it includes transfer rights, which means that you can move to another motherboard and turn it back on.

  • Hi, I have a problem in the installation, how to install acrobat 8.1 pro in 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise is existing in Windows XP.  I just want to transfer the license Adobe pro 8 Windows 7 64 bit. What is the procedure?

Hi, I have a problem in the installation, how to install acrobat 8.1 pro in 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise is existing in Windows XP.  I just want to transfer the license Adobe pro 8 Windows 7 64 bit. What is the procedure?

You need to install 8 AA on the new OS with your current S/N (the license allows 2 installs). After the installation, do all the updates if you expect any chance of 8 AA to run on the system. If the updates will be installed not in the menu help, then go to ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/ and install updates in the order. People seem to have been successful with 32 - bit systems and some have reported success with a 64 bit system. After installation, print something to the Adobe PDF printer to make sure it works. If this works, you should be in good shape as printing treat the bottleneck. There is a solution, but you shouldn't have it.

If all works well, then go back to the old machine and disable this installing and uninstalling. Don't forget that your configuration is not supported by Adobe. It seems with every new version of Windows, MS seeks to make the user to upgrade the other hardware and software for compatibility. There may be legitimate reasons for this action, but the game just seems to be Ms.

  • T610 with Windows Embedded 7 - the system does not license for the operating system image

    Hello community,

I bought a refurbished computer ThinClient T610 that is running a Windows 7 Embedded English. The label on the package says, that the computer ThinClient is allowed with W7E. When I now run Easy Tools installed on the computer ThinClient hp to create a USB Image with the German language, everything works fine: the image is downloaded from the web and put on the stick.

But after you start the stick, the installation program tells me: "the system does not license for the operating system image. What I am doing wrong? The BIOS is already the latest.

Or y at - it another way to transform the operating system in German? There should be an option to download additional languages, but this particual window has no other options. And I have not found any manual way to download other languages.

    Concerning

    Michael

Sometimes it can be so easy... ;-)

    So here's my solution:

    1. go on the Web for hp Support site

    2. go in the software and driver download

    3. set the language of driver on the language of your choice (in fact: it was the main problem)

    4. download an operating system image

    5. run the configuration tool and copy the image of an operating system on a flash drive

    6. restart the workstation and install the os

    7. take advantage of your computer ThinClient in the language of your choice

I don't know, why the hp Easy Tools downloaded the image of evil, but with this solution, that I find myself at the same point, as if they did.
