Transfer pictures from old PC to iPad - no synchronization

My friend has an old PC and asked me to pass his many photos of her on his iPad. I read everywhere and thought I needed to sync photos to the iPad via iTunes, I did through my Mac and an external hard drive. However, she cannot delete pictures of his iPad because they should be deleted on the Mac. (She also twice photos on the iPad, I do not understand, and cannot delete anything.)

I realized that I needed to move / add / transfer the pictures, not synchronize them and spent hours trying to figure out how to proceed. I tried the transfer Simple app, the best test so far, but I have not found a way to keep the photos in their records - it will not transfer files, only images. I must reproduce the structure of production manually and copy the images in the folder by folder, which would take a lot of time. I tried to use a PC and my Mac to copy and paste, but can not go to the iPad.

His images are stored on Flickr, so I thought that this could be a possibility, but cannot select a group of them and download on the iPad.

I even tried to open a terminal and read about it, but so far have not worked out how to see the iPad through it, even if I can copy files between directories with success.

It must certainly be a common requirement? I can't believe it's so hard! I spent hours and hours on this issue. Help, please!

As much as I know there is no App that will keep the structure of file/folder from computer OS to iOS device.

The two BONES are quite different that iOS does not have ANY system of file/folder structure.

So no matter what, ANYTHING that gets put on a computer iDevice will be thrown in an appropriate application, but will be just collections of files in the application without file/folder structure.

That's how iOS works and there is not to change that.

If the user of the iPad wants his photos/pictures sorted in folders and subfolders, there are a few applications that will do that, but will have to be redone manually on the iPad.

There is no work around.

Search the iOS App Store for photo/image sorting, organizing apps.

The next best way to do it is maybe to buy a special iOS/iDevice compatible Flash drive like this and try to put folders of images on the disc for iPad access these photos/images of the player only.

A special application of SanDisk (available since the iOS App Store) gives you access to all the data on the disk.

May be able to keep the system of file/folder structure using this special USB flash drive it to plug into a USB port on the computer and the transfer of the disk image folders.

Then use the SanDisk app for iOS to access and view these images on the disk, instead, OR you can simply copy the images (once again no file / folder structure) in the iPad.

Be aware that when you use any type of memory drive Flash, the names of files and folders must not exceed 8 characters before the name of the extension. As

What is the best way to transfer pictures from an old computer to a flash drive or a drive back then to a new computer?

The easiest and most reliable I've found is to make the direct drag-and-drop method.

    (1) on the old computer, open your Windows Explorer and go to your photos.

    (2) open another Windows Explorer window and access your 'Computer' folder and in your flash drive

    (3) drag the photos to the flash drive.

    (4) take the flash drive on the new computer and drag them into your images folder

Normally, you do not use iCloud for this, you use iTunes, as shown below, but you can use iCloud photo library if that's your preference.

  • How to transfer pictures from iPhoto photo app /icloud app

my photos on an external hard drive in iPhoto app, when I switch to camera app, there is no way to sync my pictures with iTunes, what do I do now?

I want to transfer pictures from iPhoto for photo app, I want to synchronize my phone with iTunes, I have 50 GB iCloud because I don't have enough space for the pictures on the mac pro book / that's the reason why I have external hard drive storage photos in iPhoto app / and finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and synchronize with iTunes no more?

And finally, iPhoto app is not God to keep photos and sync with iTunes, not more?

You can use Photos to keep your library and you can use iTunes to sync the photos in your iPhoto library or a library of Photos on your iPhone.

Only, you can not use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, if you use iCloud photo library on your iPhone.

But what application now do you use on your Mac to store your library of photos - news pictures for Mac application or you use iPhoto?  It's not quite clear to me your question, because you MENTION both applications.

iTunes can sync photos of two applications for your iPhone, as long as the iPhone is not synchronized with iCloud photo library.

don't know how to transfer pictures from a flash drive on mac i.

Plug a flash drive on your mac.  Flash drive icon should appear on your desktop.  There are adapters for sd camera cards.

You may be prompted to add pictures to the photo app.

If not or you do not want to add photos to the app, you can double-click the flash drive icon. You may need to explore the folder where are the pictures.  Drag and drop the photos where ever you like.

Transfer pictures from email received to the windows photo gallery

    Assuming you are using Vista...
Windows Photo Gallery is just an 'intermediate '. Real images are stored in a folder. Usually, it is in the pictures folder.
Click the Start button > right side, click on the photos.

Now, the pictures that you received in the mail came as attachments?
If so, and assuming you are using Windows mail...
Right-click on the "trombone" (attachment) > click on save attachments > place you in the folder of your choice (the destination where the photos will be saved in) > click Save.

Photos are now saved in the folder you selected. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • transfer pictures from the phone to the laptop

I use a HP Pavilion g6-2240sa Notebook PC and want to transfer pictures from my phone to my laptop. They are too big to send by e-mail.  I was told to try to use a card SDHC UHS-1 with adapter. This allows me to put my phone memory card inside the card that can be inserted into the slot on the side.  I want to know if the laptop a) will recognize the card and b) be able to read the card inserted in the adapter vioa and transfer images.  Does anyone know please answer this question?

I just connect my phone using a cable usb towards micro-usb for my phone and the phone appears as a hard drive symbolized... Navigate to the DCIM folder and photos are here. They can be cut and pasted or copied and pasted on the hard drive of the laptop. What kind of phone do you have? Mine is a Smartphone Android HTC One. This avoids constantly pulling the storage card from the phone that may not have all the pictures on it. Some may be internal phone storage.

  • Transfer pictures from the internal memory on a PC or SD card

I have an Alpha A3000 camera and would like to transfer pictures from my internal memory to my PC or SD card.  How can I do this?  Thanksk.

    Hi samsmom,.

I do not have the A3000, but based on other Sony devices, usually when you are in playback mode, you can go to the image you want to copy, and then open the options, and there should be a copy option.

In the main menu on the Preview tab settings, I'm pretty sure that there should be a copy option to copy all images from the camera on card.

Regarding the connection to the PC, your USB mode should be MTP or something in that sense, not mass. Mass will detect the memory card if I remember correctly, one should allow the computer detect the camera too.

But as I said, I don't have the A3000 - my answer is based on the use of other Sony cameras.

  • How to transfer pictures from the phone to the computer via a USB cable?

I just bought a Tundra VA76r and universal mini-USB cable at a local store AT & T. I downloaded the "v3.9.0 USB driver for Windows 32-bit" on the Motorola support site, I have Windows XP SP2 on my desktop Dell. The driver is described as follows:

This USB driver is used for connecting your Mobile from Motorola phone to a Windows® computer via a USB cable to charge your phone or to access the data on your phone. This USB driver supports most Motorola OS, Linux OS, Motorola, Motorola iDEN, Motorola Symbian/UIQ, Motorola Windows Mobile® and i-mode of Motorola phones.

I installed the driver and the load function works. My phone USB connection type is MODEM. However, I am not able to "access the data on my phone" as promised in the description of the driver. The phone is not recognized in Windows Explorer. All I want to do is to transfer pictures from the phone to my computer. The price for Motorola Phone Tools ($50) seem expensive for such a simple task. An adapter for my desktop computer bluetooth is also in this price range. The tundra is incompatible with the feature of this driver? I'm doing something wrong with the installation of the phone? Please help me to get the driver to work... Thank you

Best way to do this is to configure your phone USB setting of "memory card".  Go to Menu-settings-connections-settings USB online online online, select the memory card.

Once this is done, connect the phone to the computer, phone will be recognized as a removable disk. Go to my computer.  Under devices you'll see removable drive F or G depending on your drives (can show two if you have a card as well.  Memory card is usually the drive at the top of the page.  The phone memory is lower by car).

Click on the drive (IE. F, mobile - if memory card).  Here you will see audio, music, photo, etc.  Once here, you can get, drag and drop a file on your computer.  Make sure that you create one or more folders for your files on your computer.

The same also applies if the transfer of files from your computer to your phone.

I find that this method is better than to sync the phone.

I hope it will work for you.  Let me know if it doesn't.
