transformer design database rename column 'type' to 'DDD_TYPE '.

An entity has a column TYPE name.

During the processing of the entity to a table column definition is renamed to DDD_TYPE, where DDD is the short name (acronym) for the entity.

In the run options / settings / other settings 'elements you want the prefixes generated for' displays all mailboxes that are not selected.

However the transformer insists on changing the name of the attribute TYPE to include the short name.

This gives us a problem of transparency as a column that contains a prefix of the acronym is normally derived from a relationship with another entity.

Can someone counsel to a way to prevent this problem.

DDT does what he does - names of things the way he wants. You have control over it, but not much. Basically, you need to decide to live with it and adapt the standards of DDT as your standards or rename things you like after enforcement of DDT. We do a mix - accept some names generated by DDT and rename others.

Regarding the TYPE as the name for the items in the database, most of the items in the database with that name date from before the command "CREATE TYPE. In many cases, you must put the name of 'TYPE' in quotes when referring to these objects, as you do for reference objects whose names use the lowercase characters or spaces or other special characters.

  • How can I permanently get rid of the column "type" in Windows Explorer to optimize my preview of file space

    In order to maximize my preview of the file space, I want to get rid of the column "type". I can tell what kind of file it is. The only thing I need is the update and the file size. Everytime I open a window of Windows Explorer I go to display, add columns and remove types. Everytime I open a new Windows Explorer window, the 'Type' column is back. How can I change the settings to permanently get rid of it?

    Cookjv

    Right-click on an empty space at the top of the column > uncheck type.

    Hello my dear friends,.

    I want to change a column type in a materialized view. VARCHAR2 NUMBER, so what do you recommend? What is the best way to do it?

    Thank you

    You can not change the data type of the column while there are data in the MV, so you might as well give up and recreate the MV with a TO_CHAR() around the column in question in the application of MV to get the data exactly as you want (be sure to include an appropriate format mask). That said, I'm fighting to think reasonable grounds to make such a change.

  • Invalid column Type error - Jdev 11.1.2.3 on Redhat 5.8

    Hello:

    I created a simple Web ADF application with a single table.

    Test1 uses the HR schema and the db connection is also HR and everything works fine.

    Test2 uses a (partner) schema that is different from the logged-in user (admininn) in about DB. In sqlplus, I can update the table as a logged-in user. For DB grants are ok.

    But in the ADF app, when I try an update, I get an error: exception for invalid column type. See error below.

    When the owner of the schema is different from the db connection, I get this error even if DB subsidies are in place. What Miss me?

    Thank you very much

    Note: the DB connection connects as admininn no PARTNER. But DB subsidies are in place to allow admininn associated schema update.

    you want to rename the columns during the term of execution of query or in the table itself?

    in the case of then run time query:

    Select empname as employeename, empno as employeenum of the employee;

    If you want to rename the columns in the table itself then:

    ALTER table employees rename column empno to employeenum;

  • "Invalid column type" then Re-login

    Hello guys,.

    We used following 'close the session code' in our application as suggested (from google).

    FacesContext ctx = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ();
    ExternalContext ectx = ctx.getExternalContext ();

    HttpServletResponse response = (HttpServletResponse) ectx.getResponse ();
    Query HttpServletRequest = (HttpServletRequest) ectx.getRequest ();
    Session HttpSession = (HttpSession) ectx.getSession (false);

    session. Invalidate();

    + try {+
    response.sendRedirect (loginPageURL);
    ctx.responseComplete ();
    +} catch (IOException e) {+
    e.printStackTrace ();
    +}+

    But we encounter an error "invalid column type" when the user logs off and attempt to log in again.

    same mistakes also stationed in these discussions:
    Disconnection of code creates problems when the re-login.
    Invalid column type: Bind Variable problem (after the expiration of session)

    My question is "how to solve this problem?

    Hello

    I read a link you provided.

    Information;

    I got the same problem with Logoff / Login , it is because ADF want to re-use the pool connection and wants to reset the datasource.

    I think that you should to reset the module of your application.

    In my code, I use createRooApplicationModule method when I connect to the application. It will create the new Module of Application and reset.

    Please try it out.

  • create table as a table with nested column type

    On my Oracle DB (11.1), I have a table with a nested as a column type (and it is a partitioned table).
    Now I need to copy partitions in a second table, and I use swap partition for it (with a table that is not partitioned as a table in step).

    But there is a problem, because as the ordinary as sql ddl:
    create table table1_stage as select * from table1 where 1=2;
    does not work when there is a table nested within a column type.
    Is it possible easy to copy its structure (and to create the table that is not partitioned, so I suppose that no dbms_metadata package would help)?

    Kind regards...

    Will work indeed.

    Read this

  • Store the output XML editor in the database blob column

    Hello

    We have a requirement to store the pdf files generated by several applications simultaneous xml editor in a database blob column, so that they can be recovered later, whenever required by the user. As far as we know, publisher concurrent request XML output files are stored on the node of simultaneous treatment and the location of the file does not exist in the FND_CONCURRENT_REQUESTS table. But these files to purge from time to time. We are therefore looking for a solution to store these files in the database to the display if necessary.

    If someone knows a solution or can point me to the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much
    Mary

    Hi Mary,

    You must load the PDF files in the database. Write a regular competitor program which monitors fnd_concurrent_requests and load a custom table or fnd_lobs with any editor of BI exit function application concurrent reading files. BI Publisher output files according to naming convention, so easy to find. http://garethroberts.blogspot.com/2008/07/where-do-i-get-XML-file-or-request.html

  • Created view of the link of database on dg4msql a column type as long

    Hi all

    I read some views of SQL server using dg4msql to Oracle database 11 G r2.

    All work fine, except columns that are usually varchar2 are now of type LONG. It is the origin of the issues given the wide range of restrictions of data type long.

    Is it possible that when I create a view in Oracle such as:
    CREATE or replace view as v1 (
    select a1, a2, a3 from msqlserver_table@dblink)
    The columns do not come as long but as varchar2 upward?

    Problem, it is once its long form, I can't change it to a different format in a SELECT statement (as cast as varchar 2 etc.).

    Thank you.

    Add these 2 parameters to your gateway init file:
    HS_KEEP_REMOTE_COLUMN_SIZE = LOCAL
    HS_NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS = CHAR

    It allows me to describe the nvarchar sunk to the varchar column (4000) in Oracle as varchar2 (4000).

    P.S.: Please make sure you open a new connection to gateway (for example to launch SQL * newest) when you have changed a setting gateway as changes in the bridge file are read at the beginning of a new gateway connection handshake.

  • backup rman design database with phsical ensures

    Hello

    12 c database, after physical expectation is created, I need backup rman configuration,

    The goal is: a) backup of database b) remove archivelogs that have been backed up, free up space FRA.

    Design as below:

    1:

    in RMAN (primary and standby):
    RMAN >
    Configure controlfile autobackup on;
    set the type of backup device type disk compressed backupset;
    CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON ALL STANDBY;

    2: primary school:
    RMAN > CONFIGURE RETENTION POLICY to the 5 DAY RECOVERY WINDOW;

    3: in priamry, turn on track changes to block

    4: primary, implemented since rman level 0 (full backup) on Sunday.

    5: in the primary, the installation program rman level 1 backup from Monday to Saturday.

    6: primary, set up since rman "save archive backup delete them all obsolete" every hour;

    questions here:

    1. as in step 5, for the protection of the o and delete archivelog, the script using:

    Run {}
    allocate channel d1 type disk;
    SQL 'alter system archive log current';
    overlap archivelog all;
    backup AS COMPRESSED BACKUPSET archivelog all delete them all input;
    output channel d1;
    }

    I wonder if ' archivelog all delete all entries "will delete archivelog which was not taken on the eve of the database and broken standby database

    (hanging and out-of-sync with primary)... it is a concern, is that possible?

    2. If the primary database crashed, failover to standby mode, then restore/recovery primary, switch back to the primary, this design is just? If you have any good suggestions, please let me know.

    (to put it simply, I don't want to full/incremental backup to install standby, primary server CPU is good enough)

    Thank you very much!
