• Gradient of Illustrator InDesign vs (Banding problem)

  I have a problem with a banner large format I'll have printed, where a gradient created in InDesign's bands. The printer tells me that gradients of InDesign are not acceptable and recreate them in Illustrator or Photoshop before making the PDF.

  Is this fair? InDesign uses fewer steps in the creation of gradients which is what causes the banding, he argues. I did a lot of work large format and never some across this before so I'm eager to find some sort of evidence that they say pies porky. I guess they're just a rip of crap software.

  The fact that the gradient is displayed correctly in Acrobat would be indicates that the PDF and InDesign file that generated it is certainly not the problem.

  It almost seems that your printer takes your PDF file perfectly fine and submitting some eccentric workflow type that is trying to color management before the RIP and in doing so, made his own misinterpretation of the solid shadow.

  A couple of years ago, I placed a picture hidden above a spot color in InDesign and this brought me some problems. A weird white box appeared between them and I lost my impression. A few days after the incident, I discovered that it is not recommended to place transparent objects above spot.

  Well, now in Illustrator, I don't know if I have the same problem if I place a clipping above one mask spot. I used the Flattener Preview to see my transparent objects and my clipping mask was not one of them, but I would like to know for sure: is a clipping mask (with a a tif) considered a transparent object in Illustrator? I have again the horrible white box? I really need to put this over the stain of color clipping mask.

  I'm fair to assume that transparent objects in Illustrator:

  1. Mixture of the effects
  2. Shadows, etc.
  3. Mask with LAMINATED clipping objects

• Transparent gradient

  I want just a simple transparent gradient black on an image.  When I use the "paper" for a color shade (as say Adobe directions), it appears just as white.  I can make them very well in Photoshop and Illustrator, but can't make it work in InDesign.  Or gradients stick correctly in other programs.

  Other parameters do not create the effect either - mixing effects and do it just like a muddy gray on the image.

  I use InDesign CS5.

  In InDesign, it's a process different, as indicated below.

  1. Create your box as a solid color - your black case
  2. With the selected area, go in the effect controls panel and the "fx" dropdown, choose "" Gradient Feather. "

• Weird problem with InDesign

  Hey there.

  I use InDesign CC (with all updated) with 10 Windows, and I'm having a strange question. Basically everything I do (click and drag an object or text box, click a new text box, resize something, place something on the page, etc.) cannot be seen until I put my cursor in my Windows task bar. Then I will be, for example, click and drag an image to a new location on the page, but it doesn't DO anything on the screen until I roll my cursor on the bar of tasks and then BAM it is in place, that I moved. It's horrible because I don't actually SEE what I'm doing while I'm doing it.

  I don't have this problem in any other Adobe program - I use mainly Photoshop and Illustrator and they are quite well. I tried to uninstall and reinstall InDesign, but who did nothing, as it is up to date and everything. I tried to watch it, but it is a bit difficult to google and I found something similar so far.

  Any suggestions?

  I have it!

  This is the "Winows Ink" setting in the Wacom tablet properties. Kind of sucks though, because I need this option to be enabled for certain issues in Photoshop. But at least now I know how to solve this problem for InDesign. Wacom has need to get their shit and their pilots - I feel that I'm constantly having to find workarounds goofy for my tablet.

• Unable to sign CC library... (Illustrator, Indesign, photoshop...)

  It comes to my CC library in illustrator, indesign, and photoshop... It does not even show my stored locally libraries...

  I tried all combos of logging in and out of the creative cloud and App help-> Sign Out...

  

  OPM. DB is an important file if is not created which means that the program does not connect to the server, please try the procedure below:

  Make sure that all programs internet security and firewalls are turned off, also in your browser if you have ad-block more or advise McAfee site or any protection tools browser installed please disable them.

  MAC:

  1 force quit Adobe all processes in the activity monitor (for example, CC, Core sync, the broker CC library, Office, Adobe, Adobe CPI, demon Adobe Crash etc..)

  2-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > Adobe installer > uninstall Adobe Creative cloud (if problems uninstall Trash)

  3-go to: Finder > Applications > utilities > (delete these two folders - creative cloud Adobe and Adobe Application Manager)

  4. then run the cleanup tool to remove the clouds creative and Adobe Application Manager (if it remains in the machine)

  5 right-click on the icon in the Finder, then select 'Go - To' folder.

  6. you will get a text box, type in the following command and then press 'return '. ("Not to be missed ~ symbol")

  7. browse to the Application Support > Adobe > trash folder OOBE and AAM Updater folder so
