  You can do this by accessing the Publisher of watermark using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom | Use the watermark editor

  In any module, choose the command Edition > watermarks Edition (Windows) or Lightroom > edit watermark (Mac OS).

  I have been sent a TIFF logo for a company and need to watermark pictures. I want to do it through LR. I have version 4.4.

  I loaded the file in PS6, in order to change to a Jpeg or PNG... to upload in the LR watermark change area.

  I am unable to find the PNG as an option in the menu "Save as." So I tried to 'save for Web '... I was able to save the file as a PNG and opening out of the office, it does not appear to be transparent. However, when the downloaded in the graphics area LR watermark... he suddenly has a white background again.

  I'm seriously tearing my hair. I watched a zillion tutorial and read a bunch of recommendations... and it still does not... HELP ME PLEASE. There is obviously some details little or is not the same...

  NOTE-> no option for PNG in the menu Save under...

  

  SAVE AS A PNG IN THE MENU "SAVE FOR WEB"... (I also tried selecting PNG-24 format)... none worked.

  Not even PS CC 20141 can save a CMYK as a PNG document which is an RGB document.  That's why record under does not work.  Trying to convert a document to RGB image / Mode / RGB and make sure the background is transparent to your Save As (not for the Web).

  I recently downloaded version 4.3 of Lightroom.  I tried to use the IDENTITY PLATE to watermark a photo and print it and the function doesn't seem to work... Did someone else who publishes with the function of the IDENTITY PLATE?  I used the function several times in the previous veresions.  I am able to see earlier versions of my watermark on the Edit tab, but they do not appear on the photo...   Yes, it seems that Lr 4.3 introduced a bug that allows the dog tags to work properly with the text style ttf fonts. OTF fonts appear in black on bottom black (so invisible). Change the font color has no effect. It certainly wasn't the case in Lr 4.2.

  (Spending a frustrating 1 HR trying to get my plates into usable form.)

  I have a problem with my watermark in Lighhtroom.  I select to export 10 images and I select the checkbox watermark in the export dialog box.  The watermark appears only on 4 of 10 photos.  I tried the process several times, but I keep getting the same result.  I tried to export only one image that does not have a watermark and I get the same result.  Help, please.

  What version of Lightroom are you running?

  This sounds like the bug that exists to varying degrees in LR3. There are 3 factors that need to be put in place for the bug (watermark not listed is not on the exported images) to occur:

  1. the font used. Not all fonts are the problem, as you discovered, and for those fonts that do not have the problem, there is little consistency with resepect to the actual second stage - see 2 and 3 below.

  2. the proportional size of the watermark. If the watermark does not appear, try reducing the proportional size, until the watermark appears, but which can mean that the watermark is too small.

  3. the size of the exported file (pixel dimensions). Oddly enough, largest of the pixel dimensions, the risk that the watermark will not appear.

  If this is the real problem that you have encountered, I can only assume that 4 images on which the watermark appear are actually the smallest 4 of 10 with regard to the dimensions in pixels. If this is not the case, perhaps there are still another variant of the problem.

  However, if it IS the same problem, your choices seem to be:

  (a) use a different font

  (b) reduce the proportional size of the watermark

  (c) try to discount to reduce the pixel dimensions

  Yes, I know it's not great, but that's all I have to offer.

  I edited about 100 photographs in recent weeks using Lightroom & Photoshop - foolishly, I was so focused to ensure that my images have a watermark on them, I managed to NOT to keep a version non-filigrane for sales - DUH!

  Is there a way I can remove the watermark which is on the JPEG file without having to go through the hassle of re - edit because it is unlikely that I will be able to get the same results as before.

  I must say that all of my files have been exported out of Lightroom & in a file on Windows Explorer

  Your mistake is delete the files from Lightroom.

  Had you not done this, your photos without watermark would still be there. The history of changes and the final settings in the LR develop Module would always be there. But, if you remove things from Lightroom, they went, and you start from scratch.

  This is one of the many reasons that I recommend to people to put their photos in LR and THE LEAVE THERE.

  Gallery2 is an opensource photo gallery tool: http://gallery.menalto.com/ . There is a plugin for what concerns watermarks albums and sous-albums. By example, if there were 10 different photographers contributing photos, each could have their own gallery with their own watermarks sharing the same field/Db.

  By the look of your screenshot, you export as one of raw formats, either Original or DNG. Only you can watermark images saved in JPEG, TIFF or PSD.

I know not how to create graphic watermarks can not understand how to create a combined including the two (or more) image files into a custom watermark.   Place the two Logos on a new document (with a transparent background)

  Save the composite as a PNG file in order to maintain transparency.

  I create watermarks in PNG format with transparent background. Lightroom uses very well.  You have to force ch to save in PNG as a PSD

  I would like to be able to use a metadata field in a model of watermark. In this way, I don't have to continue to create a new version for each year of copyright and then use this watermark preset when exporting.   It is not possible in the Publisher of watermark in Lightroom. But you can do it by using a plugin like LR/Mogrifyfor Lightroom. It allows you to watermark text including tokens for many fields of metadata, including copyright law, so that the watermark to each image will be created from its own metadata.
