  Hi all

  I'm developing a program in which I have to adjust the curve of Gauss on only 4 or 5 data points. When I use the Gaussian Ridge Fit or adjustment of the curve non-linear, it connects linearly all the points so that other editing software like origin's curve fitting of Gauss on the same set of data that I have attached two images is LabVIEW with Fit Gaussian of Peak and nonlinear adjustment and other is original.

  The initial default values assume all are NaN, which causes the LV calculate conjecture.  The default values for the parameter Bounds +/-Inf with the exception of the offset that are both zero. This, of course, forces the output zero offset.  It seems a strange fault, but they may have a good reason for it.

  Change the limits of compensation to something else translates the output being offset ~ 215 and the Center moves to ~ 1053.  These correspond the original result to 5 significant digits.

• Clocks on board and derivatives of FPGA

  I use a PCIe FPGA 7852R card to collect data at 200 kHz of channel 5. I was pretty confident that my collection frequency was correct, because my program was based on a derived clock of 40 MHz I had chosen to use a derived clock because the on-board clock is running at 40,02 MHz (instead of the 40 MHz specified for some unknown reason I ignored).

  However, today one of the members of the LabVIEW support team told me that the FPGA clock rate may change during the compilation and optimization (constraints). He stressed that if the FPGA can run that fast, then it displays an error (as you might expect). He said also that in some cases, the on-board clock can run faster, but in this case no error will be displayed. I saw no errors in the past (which means that the system had no problem with that fast running), however, I'm not sure if during one of my compilations my derived clock could have run faster than 40 MHz. If it can happen? This will affect the time of all of my previously acquired data. Unfortunately, I have not saved any of my journal compilation of .

  Hi VarunSreenivasan,

  I think that our support has meant that compile logs will show you some pieces of logic could operate at higher speeds. During the process of compilation, the compiler will determine the clock frequency more rapid that can be used for your logic and to ensure that the configured clock frequency is less than or equal to this value. If you have decided to try to run your code to 200 MHz and logic cannot run this fast, then you get an error. If you have decided to run your logic to 200 kHz and it is possible to run faster compilation logs will show you then the max frequency that will work, but the logic still run to 200 kHz. The code should run no faster than the frequency you specified.

  Alrite guys, iv been picking up my skills in web design by developing my own site and as part of the design of this iv a gallery with thumbnails encircling a central image. now iv used the swap image behavior to change the thumbnail to the large central peak, unfortunately the pictures are that extends up to the limit of the bracket, is their anyway to fix the ratio first photos use so they come in their original size, rather than lie beyond the original?

  You can do this in many ways of means-

  1. do not use swap image: use show/hide layer. Having the acting
  image in a hidden layer that appears when the trigger is "tickled". Using

  2 use the swap image, but delete the dimensions of the original image tag,

  I appreciate if someone could give some insight on how to convert the proportional gain (Kc) and secondary gain (Kc * Td/Ts) in meaningful units in terms of stiffness(Nm/rad) and damping (Nm/rad.s)

  Thanks for your reply. I gave her a reflection more and that's what I found.

  My process variable is the location information of the encoder, which is the unit of account. My controller, multiplies the P position error, more the rate of change of position time D and it sends to the engine as a control voltage. It is:

  output of the PD controller = control voltage of the motor amplifier = P * (Pos (setpoint) - Pos (process variable)) + D * d (Pos) /dt

  So my P gain has the unit of volt/count. To convert this to N/m or (Nm/rad), I need to know what the relationship is between 1 volt for the engine and the torque generated (1 volt = 1 * K1 amp = 1 * 1 m end * K2 Nm). I also have calibration, namely the relationshio between 1 County of the encoder and displacement of end effector (1 count = K3 * rad)

  Knowing these values K1, K2 and K3, I can convert my P gain to a setting of significant rigidity in terms of N/m or Nm/rad for the torsional stiffness. Similarly, the D can be converted into a unit of depreciation.

  It's my understanding. If anyone has a comment on this approach, I am happy to hear it.

  An extended license allows you to market the use of the image, but changes to a real image could cause a problem to the artist who argued that the image.

  I am a newcomer in HFM application and I have a confusion on the use of PKI Dimension wrote in the title above. As I know, system will use [PKI entities] or [no PIC] based on account of shooting settings. When account settings Plug IsICP =, then the system will store the result of elimination based on each entity (data can be seen in every children [PIC]. When settings of accounts Plug IsICP = N, then the system will store the result of elimination in [no PIC].
  
  For data entry, is there a suggestion or recommended for entry/load data only in [no PIC] or do I put data into a specific entity under [PKI entities]? What is the most and less of it? Also, I tried to find on [PIC] but could not find an answer on how to use it.

  Two days back, I created 2 test environment for node. It is in archivelog mode, but not configured to the RMAN catalog database.
  Within two days, test team had done a lot of activities as the addition of data, stress tests etc and FRA was filled by more than 85%.
  Now, asked me to register the database with the RMAN catalog and they are very well to remove the previous archivelogs.
  Once the database is registered with the RMAN catalog, I have to take fresh full backup and the need to retain the archivelogs after taking backup.
  
  Now, since I need to remove the archivelogs, which is not necessary, I manually went ASMCMD mode and remove the archivelogs several, but when I request
  SQL > select * from v$ flash_recovery_area_usage; I don't see no decrease in percentage as and when I delete files in mode ASMCMD.
  
  Please tell me what mistake I make. Is the best way to remove the ASMCMD mode? Given that my database is not configured for catalog RMAN from now on, I am not able to use RMAN to delete the archivelogs.

• How can I catch a wave and measure asymmetric peak?

  A profilometer using the topology of a deposited material surface can be measured. I want to design a program to read in the raw data of these profiles files and then perform an analysis that will extract the distribution in the heights of peaks/troughs and the distances between the peaks. Reading data, manipulation of tables and producing output/plots files with that I'm fine but the problem I have are as to what analysis tools can be used on these asymmetric waveforms. I was thinking about a form any signal processing technique, but I'm not sure. I have attached a profile example for one of my samples to give an idea of what I am working with...

  If it is representative enough of your data, I would first take stabbed using the detector tip a LabVIEW VI (Signal Processing-> operation of signals). There not much noise at all relative to the size of your pics (if we talk only about those visible here), so you could just smooth out your data with a Savitsky-Golay function (or such) to exit the small move of random noise, offset all of your points to make positive, set a width value and the crest of the reasonable threshold and get there.

  Now, if you have a huge hollow as in the file you sent, you may miss a lot of pics (even once, I don't know what are your criteria for a 'Summit'). If that happens, I would say looking at data upside down to find your valleys as reverse 'summits '. At this point, you can go right back, connect the valleys with lines and subtract these points from your data to a pseudo-base and run the VI Ridge detector again (you probably can go much more sensitive with your adjustment of threshold because you took most of drifting in the very long term). You should have now identified all of your points of peak and Valley on axis X. return the original data to determine the heights of peaks with some basic algorithm you want to use (linear between valleys, Bézier curves, etc.).

  That's how I would attack it generically. But it's a very common situation in probably all science and engineering fields. Isn't there some geological no - power of data standard method generally agreed criteria for your problem?

  Hi jsheridan,

  Have you looked at the Ridge detector example that comes with Measurement Studio?  The c# example can be found here: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\National Instruments\MStudioVS2005\DotNET\Examples\Analysis\PeakDetector\cs (assuming that you have installed on your C drive :).

  The example generates a waveform and uses the PeakDetector class to detect the peaks.  You can take this example and modify it to support what you are doing, or just put some functions in your code.  The detector function takes an array and outputs tables of places, the amplitudes and the second derivatives of the peaks and valleys in the array passed to it.  If you prefer to use all the time, you could just do a ridge detection after each reading some or all few seconds so that you make a lot of unnecessary calculations.

  Right now I see myself forced to use another browser as I work a lot on the line and I 'should' be able to copy / paste. If you can respond in a timely and a solution, I'll continue with firefox, I like. Otherwise, my frustration level has peaked and interest in firefox is rapidly declining.

  I should be able to accomplish this task with simple steps, not an eternity of troubleshooting your installation bad 'protection '. I am equally sure that many others have no problem, I do however.

• Human resources and GPS info collected

  Is it me, or there is no fitness application that can capture HR and GPS to be collected and reviewed online? I understand that native watch OS 2.0 applications now have the ability to read the data of the health package, including human resources. I would like to find an app that runs on Watch OS and its application of "Companion" of iOS, which will collect the training info (if all goes well at a minimum, HR, GPS and derived information such as speed and distance) and send it online for various activities such as hiking, running, cycling. I used to love card my blah... but since UA * bough all of them, it seems that they block the development of features that will read the data such as the High Representative, in favor of their own overpriced accessories. I sold my other devices because Apple Watch had everything I wanted. Why is there not an app (free or paid) that can do this simple task?

  I snowshoe, ski, bike and swim primarily, is - it really too much to ask? If there is a gem that I found no, or a method that would allow me to perceive this, I'll be most grateful.

  Export GPS tracks in a standard format would be a big plus for me.
