Travel adapter on heating at 121 degrees F.

Hello, has anyone else had problems with overheating HP EnVY?  The first machine I ordered burned in 20 days.  Up to 42 days later I received another.   Now, the power adapter is overheating to 128 degrees.    It is called "Travel adapter" HP part # 6348-002 and stamped "replace with part # 644240-001.   The computer shipped to me with the travel adapter.  He has only 12 days.  ....... Not worth it!

Well, you have to give credit were it is due.

I just got a call from HP customer service, they are sending me a new charger for the problem of overheating.

WOW... I have worked with computers for a long time, and this is a first.  A phone call asking if they could help.

It's BIG!   Bravo HP!

I hope someone who travels internationally on a regular basis can answer this question for me.

This summer I will travel to Hong Kong, Manila, Seoul and Tokyo. Having never been in any of these countries, I thought I'd ask on power adapters. I will be carrier my MacBook, iPad Pro and iPhone 6s more with a power strip. Assuming that I can plug these three devices in the power strip, will I have any type of adapter for it?

Al you need is braces adapters for catches. If you read the following printed on the power supply, you will see that they are all good for 240 volts 50 Hz or 120 volts 60 Hz.

  • Can I use a power converter to charge my iPhone, or a wall adapter from Apple to charge my iPhone?

I had to borrow an adapter of a Holiday Inn Leiden Netherlands, then even if my Winstar said it can withstand 220 volts, and I know that 110 Volts would burn if you put it in 220 as I learned in class electricity back in College, I accidentally burned my A1265 Apple plug in the adapter, as well as one of the 30 pins. You have not need of a converter, only an adapter to the wall outlet. But the travel charger Apple works well.

How to use the adapter from the wall with my Mac Pro laptop?

The AC wall connector is not compatible with the outlet on the MBP?  As the MBP charger will work from 100v to 240v, a transformer is necessary.  You need a converter that connects to the power outlet home and is compatible with your MBP.  You can buy the Apple travel kit:

Or you can use a single specific converter for the geographical area:

  • Increase temperature to 90 degrees on the Satellite A300-158

    I salute you all.
    I bought a laptop Toshiba a300-158.
For the 3 months who visited has all the same processor and other parts actually heated to 90 degrees Celsius. Normally it?

I have Toshiba, they said that the need to learn in their service center. What happens if cooling system, who should I expect? Or can you reassure me and tell me it's OK.

Thank you very much for your answers.

    Sincerely, Vladimir.
P.S. Sorry, my English is bad.

I wonder how you came to this temperature value?
Always is it that Toshiba laptops support protection against overheating. This means that the laptop stops automatically if the temperature is too high and if there is a high risk of overheating.

If your computer laptop doesn t turns off then I n t be worried and to be honest you should not always believe in any 3rd party applications that provide temperature values. In most cases these values are not 100% good.

Last but not least I give you some tips how to use your machine.
Is that your fans should t be clogged. Please always make sure that it is enough free space around the laptop and don t use the machine in the bet, couch or lap.

If you follow this advice, the laptop shouldn't t overheat.

I also have some maps for carbon Thinkpad X 1 (90W, same tip) and I have a Lenovo Ultraslim 90W travel adapter with rectangular yellow end (which I use to load a carbon X 1).

I need a spare adapter for my Helix, but I now have a bunch of cards to yellow tip the propeller in good form physics. Can I use the adapter 90W Ultraslim and carbon X 1 on my Helix adapters?

    Thank you

Yes you can use it. The propeller will automatically sense the power rating of the adapter, it will not increase the use of voltage (so underway, given that the voltage remains unchanged) which is required by the machine.

  • iMac running HOT after Sierra installed

Someone at - he had a problem or noticed that their Mac running hot since the installation of Sierra?

In addition, 2 days ago, I got a notice that I had short-term memory application and iTunes and Safari have been paused. It was not all applications running overnight and I have 20 GB of RAM and it showed 18,86 GB have been used. I had to basically force iTunes and Safari to close, and then restart the iMac to free the memory and be able to access the computer.

Never had these problems before the Sierra has been installed. The iMac never ran "to hot' (more than 121 degrees last night - due close to refresh it).

So if anyone ran into any of these questions or knows a solution I would be very happy.

    Thank you

    Difficulty installing Sierra

Try each of them in order. A test to see if the computer works properly:

    1. Reset the PRAM
    2. Reset the controller (SMC) system management
    3. Start the computer in Safe Mode, and then restart normally. It's slower than a standard home.
    4. Repair the disk by booting to the HD recovery immediately after that the chime press the command and R keys until the Utility Menu appears. Choose disk utility and click on the continue button. Select the withdrawal (usually Macintosh HD) volume entry of the list to one side.  Click first aid button in the toolbar. Wait the fact button appear. Disk utility and return in the Utility Menu. Restart the computer from the Apple Menu.
    5. Reinstall OS X by booting from the Recovery HD using the command and R keys. When the Utility Menu appears, select reinstall OS X and then click on the continue button.
