  I had my Storm for about a week. When I got it I played with voice dialing option. It seemed kind of work but I put aside while I learned other functions. Now, I'm ready to explore the voice dialing and it does not at all.   Well, it's not as tragic as one might think... but it's tedious and requires care and attention. I am not really convinced that it's a corrupt... BONE but the process to understand it is basically the same in any case. Let's see... first things first:

  (1) decide what OS you want to install. If your operator has published an updated version, you'd be advised to level because that usually has various fixes and others. You can check your version version supported carriers through this Portal:

  Also, you are not limited to a little your carriers released OS... If another carrier has published something with patches or features you want, you can use it... it takes just a little something (see below).

  (2) make a good inventory of all of your applications module that you got from other sources than the AppWorld. AppWorld apps will fine reinstall... others you need to address, including the necessary activation codes.

  If you have chosen in step 1 above, some other carriers OS package, then insert it between steps 1 and 2 (in the procedure linked here) the deletion of a file named PROVIDER. XML.

  Are you sync'ing your current phone for the same user in Palm Desktop as an older device name?
  If you are, this will cause problems on the new device.   I'm a long-time Palm enthusiast who is frustrated.  No Palm products more for me or anyone I talk to until I fix this.  Someone at Palm should pay attention to their long-standing customers.  I bought Palm trees in 2002 and 2003.

  After a lot of work, hours over several months, I've had my my Treo 755 p Verizon hot Synch with an office of QuickSilver albums Mac running os 10.5 x.

  Have upgraded the RevD.

  Advanced on the Treo to select in synchronization preferences settings allow other Hot Sync applications.   Otherwise, the feature of wireless synchronization prevents a Hot Synch.

  Once these two were Hot Synch works very well, and sync wireless works fine and doesn't interfere.

  The wireless on both PDA's should be removed on the two Treo due the economy on 4 February, so I would like the HotSync to work so his Treo is saved.

  I think to do that you would need to assign a contact with the name of voice mail and put in the voicemail number for that contact, you would be then abe voice dial into voicemail... Hope this helps

  Hello I am new to this forum and need help. With everyone rushing to get the new Palm Pre, I was able to pick up a Treo 755 p opportunity at a decent price. I thought it would be a nice update to my Treo 650. I got everything to work OK except TomTom Navigtor 6. I saw the other posts on how to get this working on 755 p, but the fix (for Treo 680) which corrects the incompatibility problem is no longer available Palm support.  The link posted in the stations, http://www.palm.com/us/support/downloads/gps_nav.html, is gone. Can someone help me find what I need to get Navigator 6 working on the Treo 755 p? Thank you

  I had a treo 700 and replaced with a rebuilt 755.  The guy at the sprint store said that I don't need new software, so no disc came with it.  Now I can't hotsync with my mac.  I downloaded 4.2.1 (or other) several times without success.  How do I keep a copy of the CD?

  Thanks for the reply.  I highlighted palm and trashed all records.  I went on the link and downloaded 4.2.1.  could not bind via home/cable station.  Then tried IR to PC.  He began to bind, then stopped at "tasks", for some reason any.  Is it possible that my treo is windows only version?

  Go to the App drawer you and open 'Google settings-> Search & now-> voice-> hands - free-> Allow queries with device locked for bluetooth devices.

  Go back, open 'Google OK detection' and enable 'from any screen.
