  I have trouble downloading the trial of 12 elements in Photoshop.  (If it's ok, then I intend to upgrade my previous version v4.0)

  I have OSX 10.8.5 on an iMac.  This morning, I use Chrome Version 30.0.1599.66.  (I think I used Safari yesterday)

  Yesterday, during the download process (4 min to go), I had a power failure.  Repeat the download, 'extraction' has been left running overnight and this morning I cancelled it and tried again.  I did an uninstall, delete the old .dmg files and a third time.

  He offered to install it in my Applications folder, but after reading some reviews of error, I changed it to Desktop

  I knew then the following message is displayed:

  The following disk images could not be opened

  Photoshop elements 12-4960 error

  Extraction seems to be underway

  Several years ago, I got the adobe photoshop 6 trial version on my desktop computer. I LOVED it, even if I never got to buy it. I now use a laptop with windows 7 and I would start again using photoshop. Photoshop 6 is no longer compatible with windows 7.   Adobe's Web site lists only the latest version.

  The latest version of Photoshop is CS6 (aka Photoshop 13.0).

  For elements, the current version is 10.

  And it seems that you use elements, not Photoshop.

  Why do they want to buy version 12? Just because the facilities on version 14 does not by default for crops I want that is 9 "x 6" with 300 dpi.

  I had to put these dimensions for each image that the dimensions were nit a "sticky" option As I say nightmare. Grrrrr.

  Do you mean that the Catalog Manager option is not available in the file menu of version 14?

  What happens if you start the Organizer while keeping the SHIFT key pressed? You should get an option to start with a new catalog. If it works, is that you can access the Catalog Manager?

  The Photomerge has been moved from the 'Expert' view mode 'guided edits.

  No change in the Organizer, it is still in the Edit menu > Photomerge.

  No difference between the trial version and the full.

  Regarding the download, the correct trial version going, you should be able to manage on the link below.  If you have made a purchase and bought a Windows license so it is not valid for a Mac installation.  You will need to contact the Support from Adobe when they go bacvk vacation to see about getting the correct license.

  You can download the demo version of the software through the page linked below and then use your current serial number to activate it.

  Related to the guest in an email reminding me that the trial was going to expire, therefore does not check for Mac version because it was linked to my account and I figured I would just be upgrade with the already installed trail version.  Now I had with the purchase of serial number does not work, probably because it is for a version of Windows.  Any thoughts on how to proceed?  Chat Customer Service does not...
