• I have a picture in the current folder that I can use to place the image on a page, but it is absent, if I try to hyperlink to it.  How to solve that?

  I use thimbnails which has a link to the expanded images.  I just loaded several file assets intothe images that I can then open and place the image on a page.  However, when I try to hyperlink to this image, the image is not listed in the assets.  Any ideas as to why and how to fix this?

• How can link to external files - I insert hyperlinks to another project?

  Hi, I am trying to learn how to use RoboHelp HTML (I use RoboHelp10), and, unfortunately, I have to work on a project that someone else has started some time ago.

  The thing is, I have 2 separate projects, each with their own files, will that ultimately generated in 2 files separate chm and used in the same software (probably merged, but I don't know yet).

  A project needs to have hyperlinks across multiple pages htm to the subjects of the other project. I read the help provided by Adobe RoboHelp, but I don't know that I understand:

  Link to external files

  • Choose a location for link in the design editor.
  • Enter text.
  • Highlight the text and click Insert Hyperlink .
  • Click on the triangle button next to link to, and then select the file.
  • Browse to a file, open it and copy it to the folder of the project. -Is this file the individual .htm containing my topic or the .chm generated from all the files in the project htm? Where in the project folder devrais I copy it? (my project .chm file is generated in the.) SSL! folder).

  Generate the file in order to test the links to external topics.

  WebHelp projects

  The external file must be distributed in the WebHelp folder.

  Microsoft HTML Help projects

  The external file must be distributed with the CHM file. Note: the external CHM file must be in the same folder as the CHM project file.

  - I'm going to generate a Microsoft HTML Help project, so the second spec probably applies. Does this mean that external chm must be copied in the! SSL! folder where I generate my current chm and distributed together, so that hyperlinks will work?

  Sorry if my question may sound a little silly, I'm not very adept at this software. Thanks in advance.

• How can I insert hyperlinks in text fields?

  Hello, I create documents pdf using Livecycle Designer for an organization, and recently I had a request for a document that includes expandable text fields.  The user also wants to put hyperlinks in these text fields.  I did the form and tried to put links in the text fields (using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5), but the form operation stops and I can't click on anything else (even if the cursor changes) or do something else that remove the information I entered and/or close the document.

  Does anyone know how to create a form in Livecycle Designer, which will allow the customer to insert hyperlinks in a text field that expands too?

  Is not possible.

• Maleware inserts hyperlink ads

  In my Firefox browser a maleware or virus is inserting in Web pages of hyperlinks on specific words that link ads, air conditioned and have the URL: s.igmhb.com.

  I'm on a Mac Pro (mid 2010) with OSX El Capitan (10.11.3).

  It takes about 10 seconds for hyperlinks to get inserted into the text of a Web page I visit. The words a hyperlink become all-cap, bold and italic with a green arrow at the upper right of each word in a hyperlink. I've never clicked through, but mousing over shows the links @ s.igmhb.com. In addition, in the passage of the mouse on an ad will appear. One is a suspect ad anti-virus I expect is in itself a virus. Apparently, Mac is not immune.

  How can I remove this invasive program from my computer?

  This is because 'Sophos' is more than useless, as all software of this kind.

  You have installed ad-injecting malicious software ("adware").

  Do not use any type of product, "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" on a Mac. It is never necessary for her, and relying on it for protection makes you more vulnerable to attacks, not less.

  Save all data first.

  Some of the most common types of adware can be removed by following the instructions from Apple. But before you follow these instructions, you can try an automatic removal.

  If you are not already running the latest version of Mac OS X ("El Capitan"), update or upgrade in the App Store you could adware to automatically remove. If you are already using the latest version of El Capitan, you can still download the current update of the Apple Support downloads page and run it.   Step 2

  Do as in step 1 with this line:

  /Library/LaunchAgents

  The record which can open up will have the same name but is not the same as in step 1. In this step, the folder does not exist.

  Step 3

  Repeat with this line:

  /Library/LaunchDaemons

  This time the file will be called "LaunchDaemons."

  Step 4

  Open Safari preferences window and select the tab 'Extensions'. If the extensions are listed, post a screenshot. If there are no extensions, or if you cannot launch Safari, skip this step.

  Step 5

  If you use Firefox or Chrome browser, open the list of extensions and do as in step 4.

• Try to hyperlink, an image or a logo?

  I have the latest version of El Capitan and PAGES.  I have several logos (pictures) on a page and I'm trying to add a link to them, so if you click on the logo – it will hyperlink you to their Web site.  How can I simply add a hyperlink to an image?  The Add link feature is grayed out I tried to create a text box above the logo - deletion of the text in there and "simply" hyper be linkable - but I can't do it anymore?  Can someone help me, or direct me to how to do this?

  Here's how associate you an image.

  1. Insert and scale your image. Although still selected, visit the tab Pages to reorganize v5.6.1 and text wrapping set to None. Then on the Style tab, disable the border and shadow.
  2. Insert and scaling a text box. Same settings rearrange and style as above used for the Image but there are resized to 80% of the image.
     1. Fill, but overflow not the text with any text box, the size of the text and line spacing that offers the best overall coverage by clicking on the text as a link. I usually use X or @ characters.
  3. Drag and Center your text box on your image.
  4. Double-click the text in the text box to select all and press command + K to set the text of a link with the link dialog box. Change the web address to your liking, then press return to set. Press the ESC key to dismiss the linker.
     1. Select an edge of the text box and in the Style tab, drag the opacity to 0%.
  5. With the text box still selected, press the SHIFT key and click on one edge of your image. Both selected, click Group on the Arrange tab.

  When exporting in PDF of Pages v5.6.1, the link of the image is preserved and works in as tested on El Capitan 10.11.2 Prevew.

  I tried to insert a hyperlink into a simple html document, but nothing happens after you fill out the form and click OK.

  I can type the hyperlink in the document, and that works very well as a substitute for the functionality of insertion.

  Insert also works for images, so am I missing something or is this not now functional for hyperlinks?

  So I have a text caption in which I want to highlight text and add a hyperlink (see photo below).  Problem is that when I click on the text of the legend the two boxes of hyperlink show active under properties although it is not a hyperlink it.  By clicking on ' Add or remove the "button of hyperlink on the character keys does nothing.  The only way to get these buttons allow to work is to exit completely the Captivate, then re - open a file.  Then only, it'll work.

  Also, does anyone else have this problem?

  I'm on Windows. When you have installed the patch, did you first delete the preferences and delete the Layouts folder in the shared documents? This is the first time this typeof problem is mentioned, blogged recently about hyperlinks a couple of times and did a lot of exploring. Really wonder what is happening to you. Is this also the case when you use a form as a text container?

  If you create a hyperlink you can use "#page ="NUMPAGE"(page put number witout mention, for example, http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw4.pdf#page=2).

  It would open fw4. PDF in Internet Explorer to the number 2 of the page.

  Hi all
  
  In RH8, I noticed that when I want to create a hyperlink to another topic, in the Hyperlink Properties window, the list of topics shows the file names, instead of view topic names (behavior RH7).
  
  I would like to change this back, because it makes more sense to look for a topic by name rather than by its file name...
  
  And when you use the small icon 'Find the topic', 'by title' has been checked by default in RH7, but I have this check manually every time in RH8, who becomes too irritating! I don't want to have to put underscores in my search text to match the names of files!

  So it would seem that RoboHelp 8 handles things a little differently than 7 don't.

  Here's how to change it so your hyperlink dialog box lists topic titles and not filenames.

  Click anywhere inside the pod project manager so it gets the focus and the pod title bar becomes orange.

  Now click on view > by topic title.

  I try inserting hyperlinks to documents with a URL (example: http://abcsource/docs/1doc/nameofdocument.pdf). I tried to use the Insert > hyperlink action. After I generated the project and I roll my mouse over the action, I see the command "press Ctrl and click the link" what is good. I do and it works.

  However, when I copy the file .hlp on the server and test the action, it does not work. What I am doing wrong?

  What version of Robohelp do you use?  I think you can try to use the link hyper Word instead of link Robo.  Try to link with the link "html new hot spot.  Looks like the word with a link in the chain.

  If this does not work, make a HTML doc as a helper for robo links very well in html documents, but not in PDF format according to the version you are using.

• How to insert a hyperlink

  Some time ago I asked what software I need to create a hypertext link to Web pages in my PDF software.  In accordance with the advice I received, I bought the X Adobe Standard and this is the first opportunity I've had to work with it.

  I'm trying to insert hyperlinks to my own pages in my document Publisher which I converted in PDF format with this new software.  I inserted the hyperlink in the editor of the document itself and that has not worked.  Then, in addition to letting the hyperlinks in the document of the editor, I followed the instructions to add a link in the PDF software, but when I create the .pdf small Hyperlink box appears, but I can't connect what either.

  I tried searching the support help and forums and can't seem to find what I'm looking for... can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?

  It depends on the software. With AA X, you may need to update Acrobat version of MS OFFICE you use. If it's 2010, you certainly need to do the update.

  There are several ways to create PDF files. If you print to the Adobe PDF printer, the simplest method, no links or bookmarks are stored in the PDF file and you have to put with the tools in Acrobat. If you are MS options (save as PDF or publish to PDF), I'm not sure of what is created in the PDF file (that everything would depend on MS plugin options and is a matter of MS). The other option is PDF Maker. To make it work reliably, most likely you need to update Acrobat (help > updates). PDF Maker (the Acrobat in MS OFFICE menu item) will allow the creation of links and others of your MS OFFICE document. There may be some problems if you use a 64-bit operating system and which version of Windows. There are many problems of compatibility to examine, and knowing the versions of both the MS OFFICE, OS and Acrobat are all part of this decision. AAX, I think that updates solve most of the questions.

  In Acrobat, you can use the Connector tool to add links to the PDF file.
