try to change an eps file

I know just enough to do some damage in illustrator, so this may be a stupid question...

I was sent a file in eps that asked me to set a little.  However when I open it and go to the layers of what the image is like its flattened, all individual layers that make up the file disappeared.

can not find a way to open it to remove some of the layers/parts of the image.

This is what looks like my layers.  There is no that get the whole picture.  How can I get all sublayers that make up file show upward.  TIA

The entity showing thatis an embedded raster image. You can change that in Illustrator.

  • When I try to change an .ini file in a folder of the game in program files, Windows 7 tells me I don't have permission and "contact your administrator." Guess what, it would be me. What should I do now?

I tried to activate the debug mode for Baldur's Gate 2: Shadows of Amn , so I go into program files, I find the .ini file that I need to change to enable the debug mode. I change it, so I try to save him. "You don't have permission to save in this location. Contact your administrator to save in this location. "I do not understand that I am the administrator of the machine! What is the problem! Please help me!

Press the Windows key, type in Notepad, when Notepad is displayed in the list, do a right click and click "Run as Administrator". Open the file using Notepad and save after you make changes.

While you are the admin, some features are always locked and need you to check if it is correct. What if all could do whatever he wanted this to be a problem. Confused, but safer, I guess.

  • Try to change an AVI file without loss of quality

I am trying to add music and graphics to existing video AVI.  The problem is that no matter what I do I lose quality when I put them in first pro video.  The original file is not the greatest, but there is a noticeable difference to play in windows media player and consultation first and after export.

    Help?

    AVI video information:

    The size is 264,35 M bytes (medium frame = 117,18 K bytes)

    There is 2310 keyframes.

    Frame rate is 29.970 fps

    Image size is 720 x 480

    The depth is 24 bits.

Thanks, that explains a lot. Your source video is SD standard definition 720 x 480. However, the sequence is "HD anamorphic" at 1280 x 1080, with 1.5 Pixel Aspect Ratio. If the source is by the wind towards the high and stretched and converted from interlaced to progressive!

You want the sequence to match the Source. Right-click on a clip in the project bin and select 'New sequence of the Clip' or drag a clip on the button new item, just to the left of the Trash Can be will create a new sequence to correctly match the clip video source.

Then export, you also want the dimensioning of 720 x 480 for best results. I do not recommend the "Source of game". Understand what you want to export (Web, camera, DVD?) and choose a preset that is appropriate. Please tell us, what do you do with the exported video? Who will decide what formats are suitable for export.

  • Error unknown 0x88982F50 when you try to change the properties of a JPEG file in the Windows Photo Gallery

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium Service Pack1 and use Windows Photo Gallery to managemy photos. I like the fact that I can integrate tags and ratings in JPEG files.

I just noticed though, that the tag is no longer to be stored in the JPEG file. I know because when I saw the properties of the file tag information I have in the Windows Photo Gallery is not present. If I try to change the properties directly, I get an error message stating:

An unexpected error prevented the operation. Make a note of this error code, which might be useful if you get additional help to resolve this problem: 0x88982F50 error: No. Error Description available.

    I checked the file isn't read-only etc.

I searched Microsoft.com for this error and have found no help. I searched the internet and have seen many forums to raise this issue, but I can't find a solution.

Note that when I try to fix an image in Windows (eye of harvest/red etc.) Photo Gallery, I also get an error that says I can't save the changes.

For me, it looks like a component is faulty or missing, but how is it resolved?

  • When I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.

original title: require authorization of the SYSTEM

I decided to do a clean install of the latest Windows 7 RC yesterday and today crossed and have started to remove some programs on a separate hard drive so I could reinstall their own.  However when I try to delete some folders, an error message appears saying 'you need permission SYSTEM to make changes to this file.  I am using an administrator account, but I can't just simply delete the file.  I tried going to and change the owner to my account or administrators, close it, change the security permissions to allow me to have full control, and then I can finally remove it.  The problem is, I have to do for all the files one by one in the folder, and I wonder if there is an easier way to go about this, or if I can access the user of this SYSTEM and just delete them all from there.  Thanks for the help.

    Hello

Not trying to resurrect the old discussions, but I'll answer anyway because this thread came on top of the list of search results when I searched for "you need permission to the SYSTEM; I hope this will help everyone.

Note: here, "the record" as a subject refers to the folder that you want to remove.

Step 1: Go to the built-in Administrator account, you can do so by following these steps:
    a. go to control panel > system and security > administrative tools
    b. on the left panel, go to local users and groups > users. You should now see a list of users on your computer
    c. right click on the administrator account that appears in the list and select Properties
    d. uncheck "account is disabled" and confirm by pressing OK

Step 2: Connect to your newly activated administrator account

Step 3: Now, we start to configure the security settings that will allow you to remove this folder which was (perhaps) held by the SYSTEM:
I'm going to make the assumption that you want to remove a folder and all its subfolders along
    a. right click on the folder
    b. go to the security on the top tab
    c. click on the Advanced button which is at the bottom

: Step 4 the first part to configure security settings to set the owner of the folder:
    a. go to the owner on the top tab
    b. click the button change located downstairs
    c. There should be a list of accounts to choose to change the property, this is located under the label "of a change in ownership:'"
    (d) the entry 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should be there; If this isn't the case, then add it to the list:
-Click on the button "other users or groups...". "who's down
-Under the label "enter the object name to select (examples):', there should be a text field you can type into it;" type in "Administrator" (without the quotes of course)
-Click on the "Check names" button which is located on the right. 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' should now be there _For itself_; Well, if not, then you must remove the line that does not represent the administrator account that you are currently
-Confirm by pressing OK; It will now appear on the list of accounts, you can choose from
    e. now, select 'Administrator (YOURCOMPUTERNAME\Administrator)' from this list
    f. check 'Replace the owner of subcontainers and objects' to propagate our change
    g. press OK to confirm. a message should now pop-up window, which says to re - open the properties. Do by pressing all the buttons OK see you

Step 5: now that we have the owner of the folder, we still not done. There is one crucial step left which is to remove permissions inheritable:
    a. Repeat step 3 to learn to re - open properties and get to "Advanced security settings"
    b. go to the permissions on the top tab
    c. click on the button "Change permissions" which is down
    d. at the bottom, there should be 2 check boxes:
-' Include the permissions that can be inherited from the parent to this object': deselect this. When you do so, you will get a warning on the parameters of parent is not not able to spread. Select 'Add '.
-' Replace all permissions of child object with permissions inheritable this object': check this
    e. press OK to confirm. Windows will warn you this time; Click OK
    f. reconfirm by pressing OK; now, you should get to properties again

Now, you shouldn't have all the warnings about the SYSTEM do give you permission as he attempted to perform actions on this issue.
All the boxes to change the permissions on the accounts (properties > Security > Edit) must now be enabled, and you can tinker around with it.

  • try to change file type: I have Win 7 and unable to convert a file from m4a to m4r

I have Win 7 and unable to convert a file from m4a to m4r. Whenever I do this the file name gets extended example:

whitechristmas. M4A is the name of the original file, and I am wanting to convert it to whitechristmas.m4r.  However, when you try to change the type of file it changes the name to whitechristmas.m4r.m4a.  It also has a problem when I try to convert a .txt to. doc.  It turns into. doc.txt

Is there a work around what I can do.  There is one if you are working with sharepoint files, or a server, but because it is just a file on my hard drive I'm lost and aggravated.

    Thanks in advance!

The default value is only to change the name and not the extension. You can replace it by moving your cursor with the mouse, end, home or arrow keys and by changing the file type.

Windows notifies you of any adverse effects if you change the extension, but you can ignore the warning if you know what you're doing.

  • Try to work with the EPS file in CS5

I'm completely confused. I just bought a set of borders since an online site. The borders are in EPS format. However, when I open them in Photoshop and Illustrator, they are all on a single layer.

I tried to select those that I want to use in Illustrator the using the direct Selection tool, and then to copy and paste it into PS. Only parts of the border are coming along. I'm getting lines instead of the entire block of color (they airmail stripes). If I try to use the "Select" menu or the wand magic, almost everything is selected, since all borders are borders plane red and blue!

I don't have a lot of experience in Illustrator (almost none) so I wonder if I'm doing something wrong.

What I'm trying to do is to place borders around the old postcards in a digital collage.

On the other hand, I wonder what kind of clip art service presents a giant bunch of borders as an EPS file, instead of like, say, png, or at least in layers. I just throw $5 into the sewer?

    Thanks for your help/advice.

$5 seems like a lot of monet for this simple file. But $5 isn't much these days and $5 is not a big loss.

I see that you have an old version of Photoshop Extended. CC of Photoshop can restore the fabric of many, but which will set you back $10 each month.

  • I downloaded and installed LR and PS and they throw very well but when I try to change an ARW raw file all I get is a blue screen. Can anyone help?

    Hi sdesk.

This problem occurs with the 64-bit application as Acrobat is a 32-bit application making it incompatible to insert objects into a MS Word 64-bit application.

As a workaround solution insert the object as a 'Create New' rather than create a file.

Let me know if it helps.

try to change the text in a saved file, but it will not allow isolate me the text, place the cursor in the text box or simply go back to remove.

    Hello

in what format save you your file? If it's a jpg file, then the text is compressed and unfortunately PS is telling things as they are. Even if you could change the text before you save, after having been saved in jpg format, the text is merged and is no longer editable.

A good solution is to save the files as PSD files, photoshop files. In this case, all layers are saved uncompressed and so your text will appear in its own layer in photoshop. All you need to do in this case to change it is the result of a three-step procedure

    (1) select the right layer

    (2) take the text tool in the tools bar

    (3) mark and change your text

So the crucial question is: in what format you save your file?

  • Change links Panel to edit with Option in Lion of the Illustrator EPS files?

We are upgrading to CS4/Leopard Lion/CS5. In our old OS Leopard we could establish files eps Illustrator open with Illustrator and PhotoShop eps files to open with Photoshop via the Get Info/change feature all. Since the update to Lion, it seems that we can do is no longer? If I change to an Illustrator eps, when I go to change a PhotoShop eps it changes it back then all the Illustrator files open in PhotoShop. I realize that the recommeded to save right now the Illustrator files option is as .ai files, but we have 17 years worth of logos customer Illustrator on files that are all in .eps format. Is there anyway to force the system to recognize them as such so that when we use the function change with in the links Panel, we can open it in the appropriate program?

To answer the question: Yes, it will work to in InDesign. InDesign relies on the Finder or Explorer to open files related, which depends in turn Soxy do - so if you are "First Edition" on a link to a file imported, EPS Soxy will (default) intervene and ensure that the EPS opens in Illustrator or Photoshop.

First of all, try with a couple of files before you run a gazillion of them.

var folder = Folder.selectDialog("Select Source Folder..."); // select folder

  • Change a fill color in an eps file

I have an eps file that consists of a set of white lines on a red background (CMYK) NET.

I can change the background color in the PS, using hue/saturation, but is it possible to change the background

a pantone color, while keeping the model of net in white?

Perhaps. It is difficult to give details without knowing exactly how the file is built.

If it's a shade of reason. Drag the model of the Panel of the Swatch to the artboard. Change its colors. Drag new - when you drag the back, hold the Option/Alt key until the shade of old pattern highlights then release.

It's just a guess based on a possible construction method.
