  No it's not normal.  Is it possible that Lightroom automatically open when you connect a camera as well?

  You should be able to launch the installation program by clicking on start > computer and then running the Setup program from the disk.

  It will not work. You need at least 3 GB of space on your C: drive no matter what. Download assistant always installs in the folder of default global programs, and even if you choose to install Photoshop on D:, some shared components from Adobe will always be installed on C:.
