trying to support a 3-screen desktop via hdmi and vga on the w530
Hello. Can I extend my W530 Win8.1 display to a monitor Dell via HDMI or a HP via VGA monitor, but not both simultaneously. If I plug both monitors at the same time, then the HP goes to sleep and the Dell takes over the screen of the computer, without the possibility to extend.
The w530 is able to extend to two monitors? If Yes, do I need to get different cables or something?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the reply. No dock. I tried to use the port for the dell mini-HDMI and VGA port for the HP monitor. Try to use a 3-monitor configuration.
How to check the graphics features on windows 8.1?
I try not not to be so stupid, but in vain. I google long before posting.

Toshiba 42WL67Z - no picture via hdmi and vga
Hello
After a power outage, my 42WL67Z (Regza LCD) no longer displays a picture via hdmi and vga.
The computer receives a TV signal, it detects the screen when connected and offers the usual option (duplicate or prolong the display, screen resolution), but no image is displayed.
The OSD works well.

I think that you first need to connect to another device (DVD player, Blu - Ray player, etc.) on television and must choose the right channel to enter the settings.
If TV continues not to receive all the signals of such device, it means you have a hardware problem. -

Hello
OEM for the printer manufacturer is responsible for the proper functioning of the printer
and their drivers. Check with the manufacturer of the printer support, their online
documentation and drivers and ask in their forums.Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

U2414H to connect to the PC via HDMI and chaining
Hi all. I have two US2414H I am trying to connect to my Dell XPS of 5 years. The NVIDIA Geoforce GT 740 LP graphics card has only one of each DVI, HDMI and VGA ports. No DP to all ports. I managed to connect a monitor with a HDMI to HDMI connection. The manual says to use cable of DP/miniDP to chain the two monitors together, but I can't get this to work. I tried switching ends, I plug into which monitor.
What happens if I got a DP/DP cable or cable miniDP/miniDP, rather than using the DP/miniDP cable supplied with the monitor?
I begin to fear that, without connecting the monitor 1 via connection DP, I won't be able to Garland. I'm wrong, or is there a solution? I'll be forced to install a new graphics card with port of DP? $$$$$
I really didn't know that I should be an expert comes to install a COMPUTER monitor. JSYK, I'm far from being a COMPUTER expert. Laughing out loud!
FYI, I was on the phone last night, with Dell technical support, and the representative told me that, without port DP on my PC, I need a HDMI to DVI cable adapter. I bought one, and it still doesn't work. Not amused.
The U2414H has two HDMI ports. Thus, when you open the OSD (On Screen Display) - input Source, you should test both the HDMI listed.
Daisy chain of the U2414H, you need to get a video card with DP or CDM outside.
In theory, it should work =
GeForce GT 740 out HDMI--> HDMI to HDMI Cable--> #1 U2414H HDMI in
GeForce GT 740 out DVI--> DVI to HDMI Cable --> HDMI U2414H #2 in -

There is nothing you can do about it. Report the problem to the organization. They should fix it and send you a new version of the PDF file.

How to connect a Macbook Pro with the (just bought) Retina display for a Dell Ultrasharp U3014's new? I tried to connect with HDMI and DVI cable supplied with the monitor but the monitor says "no dvi - d" cable. I never tried to do that before so I'm lost.
Use a mini-displayport cable. Connect to one of the ports Thunderbolt the MacBook Pro to ultra-compact monitor entry.

L750 satellite will not connect to the TV via HDMI and stops
Hello
When I try to connect my laptop Satellite L750 (a Conia Plasma) TV via a cable HDMI, the laptop screen turns black and becomes immune, while TV records the laptop for a second, but then said no signal. Even when I take the HDMI to the computer, the screen will remain always black, and I end up having to restart.
I tried all the HDMI ports on the TV and the different HDMI cords without change.
Other laptops will play on TV without problem and my laptop will join also the other TV more, so I'm completely at a loss as to why the two custom work together! Also (not sure if it is relevant or not) but when I press FN + F5 to display output options, the only option available is output to LCD display. Is that means the laptop will connect only with a LCD TV?
Is it possible to change/upgrade, that?
All advice from someone who has had a similar problem or help from someone who knows how to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks :)
You can use the HDMI out port in connection with all TVs and external monitor which favour the HDMI IN jack.
The HDMI isn't limited to a certain TV interface. The FN + F5 key combination to toggle between internal and external monitor/display (if connected).
In your case, there is an open question about preinstalled system.
Do you use the operating system preinstalled by Toshiba or did you change it in the past?If you have changed the system, the problem could be linked to the preinstalled graphics driver.
However, my recommendation is simple:
First of all I recommend you to reinstall the graphics driver.
First uninstall the installed driver (do this in Device Manager). Then download the compatible driver from Toshiba UE driver page and perform the installation. Now close the notebook. Switch on and press F2. Now, you need to access the BIOS.
In the BIOS, press F9 to load default settings. After that, press F10 to save the changes and exit the BIOS.
Now connect the laptop to the TV using an HDMI cable.
Turn on the TV and then laptop.
Shortly after, use the function FN + F5 keys to switch to the external video output.Good luck!

I tried to update two laptops with the same results. I am told that the file is damaged when you try to install the full version. I am told that the Publisher could not be verified when I try to upgrade from version 5.0, and when I continues to be upgraded, I am informed that the file is corrupted.
I use Norton Internet Security.

Monitor connected via HDMI to VGA connector does not
My Pavilion p6598uk has an ATI Radeon HD5450 with a DVI and HDMI output. I have a monitor connected to the DVI output via a VGA Converter thing, it works very well. I am trying to connect a second display on the HDMI output using HDMI cable to VGA. This does not at all. It is an OLD monitor (10 years) but works ok if I plug it into the DVI/VGA Converter.
Monitor just says no: «No sighnal video» I tried 2 different cables and my drivers are up to date.
Is it possible to connect an old (not HD) monitor to the HDMI output? If so, what am I doing wrong? Would this work if I bought a new HD TV to use as a monitor?
Windows 7 64 bit
All solutions gratefully received.
You cannot convert HDMI to VGA without some serious gear digital analog conversion. You cannot use a device simple passthough like you can do with a DVI-I/VGA cable adapter. You will need to use an HDMI cable and a monitor that has a HDMI or DVI - I/D connector.

Latitude E6440 display blink when connect you to an external monitor via hdmi to VGA Converter
Hi Dell Community,
Please help me diagnose what's wrong with my new laptop.
My laptop is Dell Latitude E6440, but whenever I connect external monitor to my laptop HDMI via HDMI port to the converter VGA, the external monitor still flashes randomly every two seconds. This VGA HDMI converter / works fine when I used it on the other laptop.
Currently I still have the chance to try my laptop HDMI port to connect directly to a HDMI monitor because I don't.
Is it that someone has the same problem with me? Thanks for your help.
Dell currently manufactures replacements of main card to resolve this problem. They will be available at the end of July. Please make sure you have a current subscription and contact support to be eligible for replacement.

The cursor disappears during the strike. It is blackened and cursor disappeared three times during the typing of this sentence. Very frustrating! I'm running Windows 7 Pro on a Dell Inspiron.
Hi Ed,
Thanks for posting your question in the Microsoft community.
I understand that you have 2 problems on your Windows 7 computer.
- The screen turns off when you click with the mouse.
- The cursor on the screen disappears while typing.
Let me know if this interpretation is erroneous. To better understand the issue, let me ask a few questions.
- What is the brand and model of the computer?
- You did changes to the computer before the show?
I am here to help you and I suggest these methods to solve the problem.
Method 1:
Start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problems occur. Safe mode allows only a minimum set of services to load, this will help us to know if a service is causing the problem.
Startup options (including safe mode)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-modeMethod 2:
If the problem does not occur in safe mode, and then perform a clean boot, this will turn off non-Microsoft services and therefore to determine if any non-Microsoft service is causing a conflict for the problem to occur.
How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7

Note: once the diagnosis is made, follow the steps in the article to configure the computer to start the Normal start.
Method 3:
The question could have occurred because the drivers on your computers are not updated. See the link, follow the steps and update the drivers.

Suggestions as to how I can get the screen is smaller. I also play hearts, spades and crib. These screens are also too big, but it is not cut off from the important things.
Hi Rangerlone88,
Welcome to the Microsoft Answers site!
Do you get the display only problem with the games online, or also on the desktop?
What browser do you use to go online?
If you use Internet Explorer, you can check the level of zoom in the bottom right of the screen and set it to your liking.
You can also try to optimize Internet Explorer.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Security, and then click delete browsing history.
- In delete the browsing history area, click Remove.
A progress bar is displayed to indicate that the browsing history is currently disabled. Once this process is complete, test Internet Explorer to verify that it works correctly.

Hello
I recently tried to switch my browser to Chrome of Safari, which I never use and I'm pretty happy with Chrome overall I had to go because I can't recognize my installation of Adobe Acrobat.
He always tries to open them in the preview of a PDF from the web and then if I try to export it as a pdf after sitting and wait a long time for it "thinks" I get error that I need to launch adobe acrobat and accept the user agreement.
But acrobat already running!
Any ideas?
If you are on a Mac, I've read that Google has recently changed to Chrome so that it cannot use Adobe PDF plug-ins. These have been not supported for many years in all cases. I suggest you to use Safari when you need PDF files (but noted that the Mavericks Apple stopped using Adobe plug-ins, however in this case, there IS a solution).
