Turn on the new machine when the old disk machine broke down?

Turn on the new machine when the old disk machine broke down? What happens if I give you a demo on my laptop, that laptop goes down and I need to revisit my laptop back after a quick reinstall? What should I call? Or cela just re - turn on and off automatically a previous version?

You will be prompted with a disabling dialog box when you try to do a third activation.

  • Stuck with Windows 7 64 bit from the old disk HARD of SSHD migration

There are a lot of smart people on this forum - maybe you can advise me. I recently bought the Seagate 4 to Desktop SSHD ST4000DX001. I'm stuck with migration my Windows 7 64 bit and all the data from the old HDD to the SSHD.  Then I used the Windows Disk Manager to format the SSHD in GPT format (recommended by Windows). Then I used XXClone (freeware from the internet) to clone my old HDD. There was a message of XXClone who said that as the SSHD is GPT formatted, it didn't ensure that the clone is bootable. I tried to start the sshd with the clone of my operating system and data. It did not work.  Now I use the new SSHD as a secondary drive and I use the old HDD as primary bootable drive.  My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-A55M-DS2.  It's EFI but not UEFI.  I heard that EFI support starting from the 3 TB GPT partition while UEFI support starting from much larger disks.  Is this information correct?  Does this mean I have to change the motherboard in GA-H61M-D2H-USB3 to use my 4TB SSHD to start from a GPT formatting?  Help, please.  Thank you so much.

Problem solved.  I did a fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit for my new 4 TB (format decimal numbering system) SSHD (3.63 TB in binary system).  He starts without a problem.  The cloning approach has not worked because my old HDD MBR format and it the SSHD uses the GPT format.  This means that I have to re-install my games and copy my data from the old disk to the new.  Thanks to everyone who responded to my messages.

  • Creating cloud app detection installation of LR on the old disk

Recently upgraded my Macbook with an SSD (MainDrive) and did a new install of 10.9.4 (Mavericks).  In the process, I moved my old HDD (now SecondaryDrive) from the optical drive.  This player has LR 5 installed, but I would have preferred a new installation of my new drive.  Creative application cloud seems to detect Lightroom on the old disk and simply States that it is "up to date".   What is strange, is has not detected installing CS5 on the player of old, now secondary.

Without touching on my old installation or by car, how can I get the cloud app simply install a new copy of LR on my now main SSD drive?  Is there a way to tell the application to the analysis only the OS disk?

I tried a few tricks such as deleting the file opm.db without success.  I moved the app LR on applications on the SecondaryDrive in the trash, restarted the creative cloud application and LR is still present.

I don't want to start in the other drive and uninstall LR, I think I would really not.  Any suggestions?

Just seen the status of LR installed to not installed.  I was just in the cloud application settings pane.  Very strange.

  • The Adobe Flash plugin broke down even after that I do exactly as told on aid

I get "the Adobe Acrobat plugin broke down." no matter how many times I reload the page or download the plug in. On my plugin page Check the download says it's up-to-date. I hate IE, but am forced to use it for the sites where this is happening to me. I have FF 10.0.2. This never happened with previous versions of FF.

Let's run through a few things here to get your flash work:

First of all, download and run the Flash uninstall program: http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html. You probably want the 64-bit version. After that worked, restart your computer, and then we will upload a new version of Flash. Try to download and install it from here.

Once you have flash installed again, start Firefox and see if you get any errors. If it works, great, if not, let's move on.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode (do not select one of the boxes that appear). If the Flash works here, so it's one of your addons that causes a problem.

If we are still a problem, try to update your graphics driver.

If none of these work, read the Troubleshooting plugins section and let me know!

  • Why did Microsoft keep "to abandon" OS and introduce the new OS when they old BONES don't ever work in the first place?

VISTA seems to be the MOST aggrevating experience.  Then came "Windows 7" and is now at the forefront "Windows 8" when THEY have NEVER ABORDE LES PROBLEMS WITH VISTA AND WINDOWS 7, now they'll introduce Widnows 8.

Can someone explain to me (with a VALID point) as to WHY Microsoft keeps "to abandon" is the customer base loyalty and introduce NEW operating systems and they never solve the problems that were in the 'old BONES '...

A Mac can get a virus.  There are too many users stupid that click on stupid things like Windows.  What he does not (but longer) is market share and thus an economic reason to attack him.  But to say that he "' not get virus, sorry, it can and it has too many flaws.  It doesn't just have the ecosystem of the attacks.  If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is there to hear it, it falls really?  If a vulnerability to a Macintosh system don't get coded upward, because there is more targets in the Windows world, this actually means that a Mac can't catch a virus?

Wait until the Mac have economic objectives and equivalent market share so that they are equal and then we'll come back to this thread and make that call.

Do you mean the difference between the Windows and Mac operating systems?  As PC does in fact mean personal PC - and Macintosh based computers are PCs.

The EXACT difference with regard to the operating system is that Mac is based on the core Unix - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Mac_OS_X so that Windows is the C and C++ language based as I understand it.  http://StackOverflow.com/questions/380988/what-programming-language-was-Windows-Vista-programmed-in

That's like asking what EXACTLY the difference between the German and the French language.  They are different orgins, different codes.

The current Mac OS was actually bought by Apple because they need a new OS - purchased from Steve Jobs, who had been expelled from the Apple and then begins.

Both are operating systems that follow the orders given to him by the man, written by humans, who need updates for adding features, and the security fixes for when they are not exactly what they intend to do.

  • How to turn on the old box of Inbox.dbx is visible in Outlook Express?

    Original title: outlook express.

My Inbox.dbx OE Inbox is full. When I create the new Inbox.dbx box, I can send/receive emails but can not see my old mails which is very important for me. So please give me any suggestions so that I can see the e-mails of my two different boxes.

You can't have two different boxes.  If you get a message stating that your Inbox is full, it is perhaps on the server and not from OE itself.  This means that there are too many messages on the server and you need to clean them out of it.

Otherwise, if the message is that the Inbox is too large, then you must create a new Inbox and you can try to import the old one using a different name for the folder.  See www.oehelp.com/backup.aspx#imp1

Dbx files should not exceed two gigabytes in size, so if you have one of this size or close, you have to move messages to other folders so that when they are analyzed in smaller size files.  Folders in OE will not exceed a few hundred megabytes or they will be damaged and you lose messages.

It is also a good idea at this point to make a backup.  See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#6

  • My old computer crashed. I was able to connect his old hard drive as an external drive to my new computer. I would like to get all my old favorites (there are no prior backup on the old disk).

Is there a file where the bookmarks are stored which I can copy from the old drive to the new to restore old bookmarks? Thank you!

(I still have the original files of Firefox on the old hard drive, including one that presumably contains all my old favorites).

  • When I put my Vista laptop to sleep (or hybrid sleep), it turns off the hard disk completely?

The reason why I ask, is that if the hard drive is completely off then I'd feel sure put my laptop in its case and then walk with it (possibility of jerking around as if he were completely off), but if the hard disk is still spinning and then I don't want to treat it as if the computer is running.

essentially, this question is not whether my information is stored in memory or on the hard drive, what power I am saving, etc..  I just want to know, standby or hybrid sleep in windows vista on a portable computer, the hard drive always turns?

The hard drive (and monitor) turn off during the sleep or hibernation mode.  The only thing is that some things can take the system into "sleep" or hibernation mode (some connectios network can do if configured to do so) how the hard drive and maybe the monitor turns on.  If you pay attention to set up your power options and network options, this should not be a problem for you.  Here's a great article on the problems of Power Options and Sleep Mode so that you can check to make sure that you have none of the problems listed and can be corrected if you: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/63567-power-options-sleep-mode-problems.html.  I suggest you carefully read this article if you intend to be rude with your laptop, because you consider the closed disc.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Remove the old disk

I had a crash disk due to wildly waving 8 year old and I got on a new drive, but that is still hanging out in my catalog. Rename the new identical to the old location isn't practical, so I need to completely remove the old one. Is there a way to tell Lightroom to completely remove a disk from the database? Something like the rm command?

    I use Lightroom 5.7 on OSX 10.11.5.

... so I need to completely remove the old one. Is there a way to tell Lightroom to completely remove a disk from the database?

No, what you want to do is to point Lightroom on the new disk.

In Lightroom, right click on the top-level (Parent) of your photos on the old drive folder, select find missing files and then in the dialog box that appears, select the top-level (Parent) of the new disk folder. More details are in this document (in particular, see Figure 4 and related text) Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

  • How to upgrade the operating system on the new ssd and make the old disk to a data drive system

    Hello

I have a hp envy m7j010dx with windows 8.1.  It came pre-installed (windows 8) on a 1 TB hard drive.  I recently bought a samsung 840 pro 250 GB ssd that I wouold like to make the drive system and make the original drive my data disc.  confused on how to do it.  hey this is cool not clone. all I can find is stuff of backup or restore.  I just want to put the original on the new disk computer.

    Thanks for any info... soundears

Start by creating a recovery kit. See the following link for the procedure:

HP computers - create a recovery Disk Image or save an Image recovery on a USB (Windows 8)
Learn how to create recovery DVDs or to save a recovery image on a USB flash drive to restore all the original software, in the case of a computer problem major.

Remove the 1 TB of HARD drive pre-installation and install 250 GB SSD. Use the recovery kit and perform the recovery of the system. See the following link for the procedure:

HP computers - running a HP System Recovery (Windows 8)
HP System Recovery allows to reinstall or restore a HP with Windows 8 computer to the way it was at a previous time.

Then you can connect the 1 TB HARD drive as a data disc and use it.
