    Hello everyone.

But, on an external display, everything is ok.
I searched on several forums and it seems that is what I thought: retro light appears to be dead.
Do you know if it could be something other than the backlight dying?

And do you know if it is easy to repair myself, if its possible to buy the piece, or I have to go to a store?

    Thank you very much

I'm pretty sure FL inverter is faulty.
    > Do you know if it is easy to repair myself...
It is not easy to do without maintenance manuals and experience in laptop disassembly. You know very well that one false move can damage the brackets made of plastic and you will have the problem.

In my opinion try to contact Toshiba service initially. Ask how much you should pay for repairs.

    Hello

For me, it looks like serious hardware problem.
What you can do is to test the device with an external monitor:
Connect the external display and check if you see something like start screen for Toshiba, etc if you see something like that, then internal laptop screen is defective and must be replaced if not if nothing would seem-> the related problem of the motherboard.

    Hello

On some machines, the pilot for 11 series IMEI has been known to cause that kind of question of the judgment, so it may be worth trying an earlier version.

Try to use the following method to see if you can install an earlier version of the driver IMEI.

Download driver IMEI on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp66001-66500/sp66228.exe

Disable your wireless card (should be f12 ).

Open your download folder and run the installer - it warns you that it is an earlier version, but simply continue.

    When finished, restart the laptop.

If the computer shuts down correctly, turn on your wireless adapter and use the utility on the following link to prevent Windows 10 to update automatically the driver IMEI again.

  • Black screen safe mode works fine

    Hi all

I had trouble with my Toshiba Satellite L305D for a few days now.  Services began randomly closing for example, processes Search host index.  So today I had to restart from the beginning, everything closes 1 by 1.  Now, when I start in normal mode, I get the black screen.  All right is safe mode.  I did a scan of the prompt on the review from a user on another thread, but have no idea how read the results, which contained several questions that cannot be repaired.  I have included 2 article with the expressions "cannot fix.  I would appreciate help from someone who knows how to analyze this mess.  If anyone has any other suggestions, I'm open.  I can't afford to service so I have to find a way to solve this problem on my own.  Thank you!!

    Hello

These are mistakes in the sidebar - settings.ini and are not the cause of the black screen problem.

As this article States the question may be totally ignored.

The SFC.exe command reports Settings.ini file errors in the CBS.log file after you add gadgets to the
Windows Vista Sidebar by using the Sysprep tool and an Autounattend.xml file.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947595

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

These errors only are in the settings.ini for the sidebar and are not a serious problem by all means.

    Close the sidebar for that.

Is there the thing for the settings.ini - run AutoRuns and look at the SideBar Gadget entries - all
This point is no longer existing files such as temp or uninstalled gadgets or not running? Generally
those who have "Yellow icons" on the left side and the files/folders will not exist. If so right click on them
and delete - restart. This may correct the errors that you see.

Autoruns - free - see what programs are configured to start automatically when you start your system
and you log in. Autoruns also shows you the full list of registry and file locations where applications can
    Configure auto-start settings.
    http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx
    -------------------------------

Another process to try is to remove everything except a gadget - everything what you think is the most simple, that you use.
Maybe the calendar. Then RESTART - use another simple gadget, and delete the first class used
-RESTART again. See if that helps.

Rarely, the error causing the problem with the sidebar and not not affect the system in general.

The SFC.exe command reports Settings.ini file errors in the CBS.log file after that you add gadgets to
the Sidebar of Windows Vista by using the Sysprep tool and an Autounattend.xml file.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/947595

    -------------------------------

Another method to try with the SideBar does not is to copy the Settings.ini to another folder, then
Delete it - and then start sidebar.

No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
    are a few others.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files. You can also

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.
ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
repeatedly tapping F8 as you start. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC also begins the Task Manager.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the
Difficulty. Often using a restore point or Startup Repair will have no effect. You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide

  • Goes black screen, but still running

This problem has been going on for quite awhile now. Randomly the my screen goes black, usually while I'm playing games or using the browser. It was just when I was with any browser, but its developed on when I play some games. It ruined some progress on the papers that I wrote (several hours lost can be pretty boring), so I decided to put here all the info to see if I could get any help on the situation. The computer still works fine, while the screen is black, I can even keep Skype calls and hear people talking all by not seeing a thing. The only way to get the screen to come back is to force him to stop. I also connected to an external monitor to test if it's a hardware problem or a system in question. The two crash screens indicating that its all just a system error.

    My specs:

    Accuracy of Dell M6500

Windows 7, upgrade to windows 10 upon arrival on both versions

NVIDIA Quadro FX 2800 M, up to the date of

    Intel Core i5 CPU M 540 @ 2.53 GHz

    Hello

I too had this problem the Dell Precision M6500 and Nvidia Quadro FX 2800 M with drivers on the Nvidia site. It has affected my machine before and after the upgrade to Windows 7 to Windows 10. I noticed that he has never done it on the battery. When on feeding, the graphics card seems to close as he thinks it's overheating, but it is not.

The solution is to download the Nvidia PowerMizer software.informer.com Manager software

    Check enable the PowerMizer

Check the level of interpretation or fixed performance select average for battery and network.

Check the overheating slow by substitution. Select Disable overheat the downturn.

    That's all. : o).

The only thing is every time 10 Windows updates (like this morning) the PowerMizer settings are rooted out the registry. This morning my machine was blacking out as soon as I open any program, and I had to pull the power cord to operate if I could start PowerMizer. I left a shortcut for the program on my desk top of the page.

There is a separate issue with the Precision M6500 really one overheating due to dust in the hand and heat sinks graphic chip. See here for my healing:

I hope this works for others.

  • Black screen boot, light works.

Hi, I have a 2011 end pro 15 "macbook. Two days after leaving a program that my screen went black, the lighting of the screen does not work. Whenever I reboot the screen becomes black. I also tried to reset the NVRAM and SMC memory and installed the new update of el capitan, does not work either. Safe mode works quite 'lag', especially when scrolling in safari, the screen flashes.  Safe mode and recovery mode function, so I did a time machine backup in safe mode and re-installed el Capitan, nothing has changed. I am writing in safari in recovery mode and have no problem. I hope I described the problem enough for someone to recognize.

I'm running out of ideas and advice of other forums, could someone help?

That the computer is running in Mode safe, but not after a regular boot gives strongly suggests this is a driver problem. Safe mode starts with the bare minimum of drivers. You say that you have re-installed 10.11 and that you have saved, but you won't go into the details. Did you erase the hard drive, install 10.11, and then use Setup Wizard to restore your applications and data?

What I would do is run the first Apple Hardware Test. (Reboot, pressing the D key until the test of the system is displayed.) Run the extended test. If it passes, make a final backup of TM and then boot into recovery, wipe the drive, download 10.11 and reinstall. Ordinarily I would run Setup Wizard then, but in this case I would like to make an account - don't use your usual account name - and go to the desktop. Then I shut down the computer and restart. If all goes well after the restart, then I would use Migration Wizard to migrate data and applications. Once completed, restart again.

At this point, two things is possible: all is well, or the LCD screen is black again. If it is the latter, you know that something in your account of the system is the cause of the problem and we can talk about how to make to recover from that in another message.

    Hello

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

Another method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure)
CTRL + ALT + DELETE and on the tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is reached
by tapping F8 as you start several times.

You can try a
Google to see the proposed repairs, whom some have worked however these cover a wide
    field efforts.

Here's a video of one of them.

If necessary and you can access all ordinary Windows.

You can try an In-Place Upgrade (hopefully save programs and data) or a repair installation (if all goes well
saves the data, and you need to reinstall the programs). Be sure to do a good backup or three.

You can use another DVD that are not protected but you will need to copy you have the product key.

    On-site upgrade

If nothing works, you can make a repair facility that must save the data but you will need to
Reinstall the programs. This also requires correct Vista disks especially for OEM versions. You will be

(type in a single line or copy / paste a line at a time and then press enter - type no parenthesis)
    or "BOLD"
    )

    c:

    cd\

CD c:\Windows\System32\winevt (there is a space between cd and C :)

Ren LogsOLD Logs (there are spaces between ren and newspapers and Logsold)

    RESTART Windows

    I hope this helps.

I'm never buy Apple again once if I can't solve this problem

    Hello

Try a reboot press and hold the power button / stop and menu button hold both down until you see the apple logo.

It may take up to 30 seconds.

If you still have a problem to make an appointment on apple store.

    Its still under warranty.

    Let me know what happens.

    See you soon
