two by printing two-sided page on Win XP networking 4215

Hello

First off let me say my Officejet 4215xi is attached to a Windows XP PC & everything works perfectly from there.

Problems of printing from a computer on a network Windows 7 when I try to print two-sided & two pages per sheet.

The PC Win 7, I'm capable, by selecting "Manuel Duplex" under print & "2 pages per sheet" by virtue of the Finish, create a 2 by printing two-sided page except that the pages are out of order.  For example a 4 page document everything fits on a piece of paper but: on the first side, 1 & 3 pages print while pages 2 & 4 print the second side.

Are a lot of options under the finishing on the Win XP PC where the printer is connected & the suite resides, but on PC Win 7 (with drivers only), the finishing options are greatly reduced.

"Printing shortcuts" seemed promising until I found that the option "Print On Both Sides" can be disabled.

Change Layout Options / Page order of "Front to Back" to the 'back to Front' did not help either.

Any ideas, any help greatly appreciated,

Thank you

PS Si I jump the duplex & simply to print 2 pages per sheet that they print in order but of course only on one side of the paper.  It looks like the manual Duplex may be the culprit.

I just fixed my problem - by buying a new printer Epson

  • DeskJet 3510, it can print double-sided pages (manually is fine)?

It is a brand new printer, just bought today. I printed a few pages with it until now, but looking at the print settings, I see nothing for two-sided printing. My last printer, a PSC1315, had a way of doing it; It would print the odd pages and then I could return the battery and it would print the odd numbers (or maybe it was the other way around, but basically the same thing). I didn't need to do much, but when I made this option has been really helpful.

I have another thread goes here with another question, but I can end the same way: am I missing something, or is two-sided printing, even manually, there is simply not possible with this printer? And if not, does anyone have suggestions for how I manage this mine? I don't see even a way to print only odd or even pages.

My OS is Windows XP Pro SP3, 32-bit. Thanks in advance for your help.

For this problem, you have to manually flip and feed each page so that it is 'in duplex. However printing of even/odd, I think that you receive to your second question, is in fact a question of the program that you are using and if it allows pages to print in that order.

For example in 2012 of MSWord, when you are on the print page there is an option directly under settings that allows you to print the odd pages. It's the kind of solution that works better for the printer.

I wish you a wonderful day!

  • Printing double-sided Pages using pages

How can I print duplex using Pages pages?  (My printer is able to offer this option, but Pages does not have this option).

The ability to print duplex (double-sided) is in the OS X Print Panel, not in the Pages. File menu pages: print... and adjacent to the copies window is a box for double-sided. Then you decide to select the layout, how these double-sided pages should appear: binding edge (default) Long, or short edge binding.

  • HP 7520 Double face (two-sided) scanning possible? If so, how can I make this work?

How can I scan a document double sided (A4) with the HP Photosmart 7520?

I prefer to scan directly to e-mail, but I never see the option of detection across a document. With scan-to-mail, but also with the other options (scan of the computer, USB)

Several reviews that I've read what follows:

"The Photosmart can print and scan in duplex (two-sided page), but scanning duplex requires two passes.

But how does it work? I guess that doesn't mean that I have to do two separate analyses (which would not of course double-sided).

But at no time, I gives me the possibility to transform the document and resume analysis.

Any ideas on how to use duplex (sort of) scanning with HP 7520?

The Photosmart 7520 offers the possibility to scan double-sided.

You scan the front of the printer or the software on the computer? Duplex scanning must be started from the software.

Scanning both sides of the software on the PC:
    * Open the HP printer Assistant software for the Photosmart 7520
    * Select scan a Document or Photo
    * Select the Document in PDF format (or by e-mail in PDF format)
    * On the side right of the screen is a list of drop-down menus and one of them is the source of the scan
    * Select this option to scan from the automatic document feeder
    * After you select this option, a checkbox will appear under this option to activate Dulpex scanning
    * Set the other options as desired and start the scan

If you are scanning multiple pages which should be duplex scanning, then the printer will travel the most complete list on one side and then to instruct you on how to reset the pages to scan the remaining sides. The unit requires a method of style "flip and resume" duplex scanning. I hope this helps.

    Hi @Blazer5,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see you're wondering how to set up printing double-sided with your HP Envy 5532. I'm happy to help you!

To set up duplex printing, I recommend you to go through this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex) for HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one and Deskjet Ink Advantage 4510 e - all-in - One Printer Series, such that it has instructions for Windows and Mac. Also, here are some tips for you to follow:

Include the following can help you to avoid potential problems when printing on both sides of the page.
Do not print on both sides of the following types of paper, or jams may occur:

    • Transparencies
    • Envelopes
    • Photo paper
    • Glossy paper
    • Paper lighter than 60 g/m2 (16 lb).
    • Heavier than 105 g/m2 (28 lb) paper.

Several kinds of paper require a specific orientation when you print on both sides of a sheet. It's letterhead, preprinted paper and paper with watermarks and pre-perfores holes. The printer will print the first side of the first book. Load paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.

In addition, this post, Vista / Win 7 Duplex printing Troubleshooting Guide, by @Bob_Headrick. Maybe some answers for you as well.

In the print dialog box (after selection file and print), you will see a box next to duplex printing, which can be checked or unchecked, to toggle between the two functions.

To change the print quality, you want to go through this guide, the series e-all-in-one HP ENVY 5530 and series of e-all-in-one HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 4510 - Print Documents (Windows).

For future reference, here is the user guidefor your printer.

    I hope this helps!

  • Two-sided printing offset

Some of our users have noticed that on some models of HP printers when they double-sided, that there is incompatibility between the margin size planned and what is printed. If you want to print both sides without borders, duplex or rear side can be slightly narrowed to have a small margin is an example. This problem is not often, but I saw a few threads in the last week which he grew up.

After having studied this and thanks to our engineers to meet people, I found an answer to this question. For those who have experienced this problem, it is part of the design of the printer and will not be subject to change. This is essentially due to the mechanics of the duplex unit. The first page is occupied by the roll of output, but on page two, reduced in size so that the main roller can keep in touch with the page (this affects all inkjet printers).

If you need to print double-sided outside these presets to margin, the best method to achieve this is duplexing manually as the pages involved (by placing the face of page printed near the top, on the right side upwards in the status bar). For large print jobs that require this function, simply print out the odd pages first (there should be an option in your program for this print settings), then manually duplex all even-numbered pages.

I hope this information is useful to those who may encounter this problem.

  • Print two-sided Photosmart 7510

I'm running Mac OSX 10.9.3 and a pilot recently re-installed for my Photosmart 7510 (long story on renewed OSX installation). Any application that I use, I am unable to get the 7510 to start to print at the long edge binding. It ONLY prints in short-edge binding. I have re-installed the driver 2 X and downloaded 2 X so it should be no problem in this regard. Someone has an idea?

    Hi dominik_12,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand that you are not able to select Long Edge binding when you try to print to your HP Photosmart 7510. You have tried to uninstall and reinstall the driver unsuccessfully on the BONES of the Mavericks. I want to make sure we select the HP driver and not the AirPrint driver who would give only limited options.

    Complete the following steps:

    Reset the printing system

    1. click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    2. in the hardware section, click Print & Telec. Dialog print & fax opens.

    3. make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel, and then click Reset printing system...

    4. click OK to confirm the reset.

5 type the name and the correct password.

    6. click OK to reset the printing system. The dialog box Print & Fax shows no printer selected.

    Add the PS 7510:

    1. click on the sign plus (+) sign and locate the PS 7510, highlight the printer

2 in the section using printing, make sure that you select the driver HP PS 7510 and not one AirPrint.

See the image below (you want to click the HP not the AirPrint driver):

Now that we have the PS 7510 driver selected, please open the program or document you are interested in printing and follow the steps here:

    1. click on the command Apple + P , your print dialogue box opens, click on the option view details at the bottom left (it may already be open)

2 just below the Orientation section, click on the arrows to access the drop-down list, and then select page layout

    3. now you should see the two-sided printing of the menu drop down, here you can select Long Edge binding.

    4. click on print

Now able to print successfully long edge bind you? Please let me know if this was helpful, I'll watch for your reply.

    Thank you

In General, duplex printing is consulted / adjusted printing preferences.

If you print from an application, for example, in Word or in your browser, you reach the printing of the preview preferences before printing.

  • HP Laserjet M553: HP Laserjet M553 leaves two-sided printing

I'm running 10 Windows on a desktop HP Envy with a printer HP Laserjet M553. I have this printer for a little more than a month.  I was able to print two-sided dox on this printer with only one or two times before this opportunity not to print on one page (front and back).  In these situations, I was able to stop the printer and the computer, and then restart both and duplexing continued.  Now, happened for the 3rd time after several weeks of use unless it occurs and it refuses to print duplex style once rebooted, even having to sit off the power, unplug computer and wall of a catch of the day to the next.  Anyone else have this problem or have any suggestions as to why this is occuring?

Unless you send a primitive regime print jobs (such as DOS, or non-TASSES * n * x systems), default values or settings of the printer itself will not usually come into play.

With print jobs generated by modern windows and * n * x systems, the printing itself must contain printer-language 'orders' to select the mode of plex. the printer should just obey them.

The only possible exception is if you chose some document types (e.g., transparency); for these types of paper, you must use "manual duplex printing" rather than "auto duplex printing.

Maybe you (inadvertently) select printing in your application, or preferably driver printer settings?

  • Photosmart 7525 does not as advertised two-sided printing

I just bought a printer Photosmart 7525, partly because my upgrade to Maverick on my MAC is my 3200 Series obsolete and she was acting strangely.  The new printer has taken longer to implement than I expected (not exactly an intuitive process and he had not provided all the guidance documents). I managed to get more work, but there is no option to select two-sided printing when you print directly from Word. I had to go through 3 non-intuitive screens to find the print options for the pages even / odd - it's much easier to save in pdf format and get rid of Acrobat.  But I still do not think the double-sided printing option that is promised in the product documentation.  I find some online reviews maybe I need an accessory, but I thought that the product has come with the ability.

    Please notify.

    Thank you

    Hi hybridgeek,

Thanks for keeping me posted. Unlike programs preinstalled, Mac print options two sides is hidden in settings. If you open the print dialog box, click on the area of lowest selection - Copies & Pages, select from the drop down.

Set the duplex option as the binding Edge Long (Portrait) or binding Long Edge (landscape). You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as a preset and naming.

  • How two A5 pages to be printed side by side on a sheet of A4 one?

How two A5 pages to be printed side by side on a sheet of A4 one? I tried most of the ordinary printing options without success.

    Hi timt28645485,

You can make a pdf and print from Acrobat. Under size Page and handling, you can print multiple pages per sheet. Your printer must be able to print double-sided.

    Click file > print > multiple > Pages per sheet > 2

Let us know if you face any problem.

    Thank you!

  • Automatic two-sided printing

Software for the D5360 does not support two-sided automatic printing in Windows 7. It must turn the page manually. Is there a work around for this?

    Hi Malcolm,.

I had this printer before, then maybe we might be able to understand this.

A couple of things to check:

    1. Automatic printing equipment 2 faces is firmly attached to the back of the printer:

      1. If you look at the back of the printer, you should see an attachment to the rectangular research that fits on the back of the printer... This is what really turns the paper upside: check that it is firmly fixed on the back of the camera.
    2. Open the printer properties dialog to verify that "Auto" is not an option in the "duplex printing" drop-down menu.
      1. Probably the easiest to go to 'START' / 'Devices and printers' and right click on the printer icon, then select "Print Options".
    3. Click on the tab "features."
    4. On the right side, the 'paper Saving Options' shows ' double-sided printing: ": click on the dropdown under that to see what options are available to you... you should see"Off","Manual"and"Automatic"."
      1. If automatic is there, select it and then try to print a double-sided document.
    5. If you do not see "Automatic", close this dialog box for now.
    6. To return to the dialog box "Devices and printers", right-click on your printer icon again and this time select "printer properties".
    7. Select the tab "device settings".
    8. At the bottom of the dialog box, you should see "installation Options".
      1. "A two-sided (for printing on 2 sides) unit:" is to be considered... with two options: "Installed" or "not installed."
      2. Make sure that "Installed" is selected.
    9. Click on apply, then OK.
    10. Then, return the properties of the printer as before and make sure that the option "Automatic" is available and active... and then try to print a document both sides.

Oh... and by the way... you happen to see error messages, etc.? Or is printing automatic duplex not an option your seenig?

    Kind regards

  • print two-sided B209a

I was unable to find a way to enable two-sided printing in Snow Leopard. I have reset the printing system, checked the web interface and tried every possible setting that I can find. It is shocking that a printer can not make a double-sided printing at this price there. I replaced a cannon which is old for a few years and half the price and can be done automatically - without manual intervention. I will just have to manually return as advertised, but the option to activate it is grayed out. The manual refers to:

"Printing to save paper: print documents duplex with multiple pages on the same sheet to reduce consumption of paper."

But I can't find anything like that.

Also, anyone else find it's the highest printer ever? It's probably a bigger problem. I just set up and printed a small email, the thing a pane and hit and Miss for about 90 seconds before to start same impression. I pulled near the power cord because I thought it was going to explode. Actually, looks like it's broken. I don't think I've ever heard a printer this strong. My old Canon has even had a "quiet place". Appears not to have this. The scanner is also very strong. Much stronger than my year 8 Microtek I can't make it work w / Snow Leopard.

I chose that on a comparable Lexmark. I have a feeling of regret. This can be come back to BJ tomorrow.

    Thank you

Too bad. I already in the box for the return.
