Two libraries are taking place.

Hello!

I noticed that I have two libraries of photos (iPhoto and Photos) on my hard drive, and they are both the same size. In the photo, they are visualized with the two largest squares. Thew are almost identical, so I'm assuming they are duplicates of each other.

How can I get rid of one of the libraries without losing all the photos?

IPhot Library and photo library are looking just as they would need twice the storage. When pictures created the library of pictures he created the images in the photo library as hard links images in IPhoto. Hard links are files of the same size as the originals, but stored on the same disk blocks, so the s of storage used only once. The Finder and other tools report the storage you use incorrectly.  You can delete the iPhoto, iPhoto library library, but wait until you are sure that all the Phoztos and the metadata have been migrated correctly. I would like to keep a backup.

  • Time Machine deleted messages on an external drive to the trash can on iMac are taking place on the hard drive?

I am struggling with a computer, try to empty the trash with 1million 300,000 Time machine backup files. It runs for two days now and won't install. At this rate, I'll need a week before my computer becomes viable. I don't feel able to go to the Terminal to do the trick. Also at this point, I'm afraid to stop the process again... Backups on an external drive of pigs 400 GB on my drive hard imac... I have so little room to work right now. I deleted some 200,000 files already yet the storage on my imac HD has not moved. The files in the Recycle Bin of the external drive really live on my hd now until they will be deleted if all goes well before Christmas?

I have a new computer to come next week so I'm wondering if I'll just reformat my entire hd in my imac to solve this problem... Any ideas?

You do all this in the Finder?

Time Machine has to delete the files from the user interface, normally "browsing Time Machine backup", navigate to the desired folder, and select the option "delete all backups of...» ». This is the approved way that should work.

If you are manually dragging the items in the trash of in a Time Machine backup, it can choke. Time Machine stores data with many levels of access control permissions & Finder seems to have difficulties to remove to empty the trash. In fact, I think that the TM drive has limits to prevent normal users to change data on this disk.

Personally, I think your safest option is to abandon the process, restart, erase and reformat the Time Machine drive. Who will lose all history backups but again in a clean condition seems to be better than trying to manually prune the Time Machine data. Time Machine removes old backups when it is full - so you shouldn't really need to intervene like this anyway.

Wait and see if anyone has a better idea.

P.S., each disk has its own "basket", so doing drag items should not fill your Mac startup disk. Maybe the operating system is out of memory, try to process all the files, exit other applications & see if that changes anything, you may have to wait just if you want to avoid to abandon the process.

  • Is - this Mail are taking place on my computer?

    IMac using 10.6.8

    Mail Version 4.6 (1085)

Having more than 20,000 emails in my Inbox... 4,000 in Envoy.

Spanning a period of more than 10 years.

These take place on my computer? TimeCapsule?

If so, don't seem to be a problem. Available from 2 TB to 1.59 TB capacity.

Still seems, all these emails should be cleaned to the top, sense removed.

Network provider did notify me that I approach its storage capacity, which in my opinion, it would be.

PS by the way, that just used TB does not appear under HD Get Info. Only 410,63 GB used. I have a little work to music (GarageBand) and iTunes, photos, etc.. In addition to the applications. Maybe it's good and it's what I use on my HD.

    Yes, it uses the space.

The amount depends on many factors, but you can find by browsing to the library folder in your home directory (hold down the Option key when you click on the 'Go' menu in the Finder) and checking the Mail folder.

All mail is stored here. If you use multiple e-mail accounts, then there are subdirectories within your email for each account directory.

  • Older versions of the improved Adobe taking place HD can be deleted after update?

Older versions of the improved Adobe taking place HD can be deleted after update?

Update from the upgrade - two different animals.  Updates the software that they update.  Upgrades of Adobe products do not need previous versions.

Improved versions are better off removed before installing updates.  There are occasions where different versions share a file where deleting an older version after installing the newest one can delete a necessary file.

A version bought the current version (Acrobat DC Pro) can be exchanged, so you should be able to run on Windows or Mac. But never both. You can then run it on two machines for your own personal use (do not share).

A subscription version can be installed on two computers. Windows or Mac. For a person.

More complex arrangements are pointing to a need for volume licenses.

  • How to make the Apache configuration for two different areas

    Hello

I was trying just a few clustering on weblogic workshop. I was facing a problem... Here's the scenario:

    I have two clusters:

    CLUSTER1: 3 managed servers (server1, server2, serveur3)
    Cluster2: 2managed servers (server4, Server5)

I have two examples of applications I have made on these two clusters i.e on cluster1 app1 and app2 on cluster2.

These two applications are deployed all as I am able to open these browser applications by calling the individual run as server port: http://localhost:7003 / app1.

Now, I have installed an apache server on my laptop and configured the http.conf file.

Question: I am not able to call the application of apache. If there is only a single cluster then it works very well and for an application two that a single cluster (application) only works too which port is set in the last.

Here are the contents of my httpd.conf file:

    #
    # This is the main Apache HTTP server configuration file. It contains the
configuration directives # that give the server its instructions.
    # See < URL: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2 > for more information.
    # See especially
    # < URL: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/directives.html >
    # for an analysis of each configuration directive.
    #
    # Do NOT simply read the instructions here without understanding
    # what they do. They are there only as advice or reminders. If you do not know
    # consult the online documentation. You have been warned.
    #
    # Configuration and logfile names: If the file names that you specify for a lot
number of files in server control begin by "/" (or "drive: / 'for Win32 '), the
    # server uses this explicit path. If the file names do not start
    # with "/", the value of ServerRoot directive is preceded by - so "logs/foo.log.
    # with ServerRoot set to "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2. 2' will be interpreted by the
    # Server as "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/logs/foo.log".
    #
    # NOTE: Where file names are specified, you must use forward slashes
    # instead of backslashes (e.g. "c:/apache" instead of "c:\apache").
    # If a drive letter is omitted, the drive on which httpd.exe is located
    # will be used by default. It is recommended that you always provide
    # an explicit drive letter in absolute paths to avoid confusion.

    #
    # ServerRoot: The top of the directory under which the server tree
    # configuration, error and the log files are kept.
    #
    # Do not add a bar slash at the end of the directory path. If you point
    # ServerRoot to non-local disk, remember to point the LockFile directive
    # to a local disk. If you want to share the same multiple ServerRoot
demons of # httpd, you will need to change at least the LockFile and PidFile.

    ServerRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2. 2. "

This configuration is a little weird. He has /app1 MatchExpression and MatchExpression /app2 and at the same time two sections . Are you sure you understand what means that the configuration?

    Try something like this...

    WebLogicCluster 127.0.0.1:7003, 127.0.0.1:7005, 127.0.0.1:7007, 127.0.0.1:7103, 127.0.0.1:7104

  • Can I have two libraries of photos separated on a Mac

is it possible to have two libraries on an external drive and the other on the internal SSD flash drive - use both independently but not corrupt or merge?

Yes, if the external hard drive contains a volume to the Mac OS Extended format. Launch iPhoto, Aperture, or Photos with press Option key to switch between them or create a new.

Just upgraded to FF 12 FF 3.6 and most of my favicons are now places dotted. Is it possible to get favicons associated with each web site to load? I've seen some suggested code to add, but I'm not savvy web code. Thank you!

The extension of CheckPlaces can restore the favicons. It is also ideal for checking the bookmarks to make sure they are still valid.

12 Firefox is very slow to load pages and if two tabs are open, it lag. I've tried everything (e.g. virus, Defrag, I created a new profile in "run", etc.). I had my router/line checked everything etc and after 2 weeks of cleaning/testing etc its all pointing to Firefox as the problem. Please help because it's driving crazy me.

  • Two libraries in double sizes. I merge and filter somehow double? See the image.

I have been turned this off for a decade.

I have two large photo libraries of different sizes with obvious double and triple of images. It's a long story...

How is - a merge these two libraries into a library? How to treat duplicates? What is the overall process? I am very well buy a software to make your job easier.

With the help of pictures 1.5

Screenshot of the list of readers of OmniDiskSweeper:

Two choices - synchronize the two (a then the second) that the library system to iCloud photo library or locally using PowerPhotos

Currently, there is no other way to merge libraries - this should minimise duplicates too although it looks like you have any ay to a library at some point in the past, which gives two or three different versions of each photo sizes, and can be a problem of identification dups

Firefox 3.6.6 came out on 26/06/2010 to solve problems that some were plagued with the new crash protection feature introduced in Firefox 3.6.4. NOTE: Version 3.6.5 has been used for another product, so there is a "jump" in the version numbers.

You need to update to the latest version, Firefox 3.6.6.

I have House part for my iPhone and apple TV, but the iPhone libraries are not listed under computers on Apple TV.  I don't see libraries for my Mac.  I use the same identifier apple through the three devices. I have an iPhone 6 more working 9.0. The devices are all on the same home network running.

You can't share a library that is located on an iPhone, iPod or iPad with other devices. You can only share a library that is located on a Mac or a PC with other devices. On other devices, iPhone, iPod and iPad for example, you then activate home sharing to connect to the shared library.

  • I have two libraries 'photos' and only want one. How Merge/consolidate their?

I have two libraries 'photos' and only want one. How Merge/consolidate their?

Photos has no tool to merge two libraries by importing each other.

    • You can export the photos of the smallest library and import them into the largest library,
    • or merge libraries in iCloud, if you sign up for enough storage iCloud accommodate the merged libraries.  To merge in iCloud activate one of your photo libraries as the photo library iCloud and wait for the pictures to download on iCloud, then proceed to the second library, enable this as the iCloud photo library, wait for the pictures to download. iCloud will download the pictures of the first library to the second, and you'll have a library merged in the second library.

Or buy PowerPhotos.  This tool allows you to move photos between libraries and can help you merge some libraries. You can buy it here:
