  I'm working on a 'before' HMI for a larger acquisition/analysis system, which includes monitoring the continuous performance of a turbine. The results of the measurements are stored arrays of contour lines, which represents the openings of turbine efficiency and guide of pallets. This analysis is all running in the background. In the GUI, performance data are loaded from file when the specific report' is requested and is plotted in a XY Chart. I would like to indicate the current operation of the machine using a pitch which is a single point. So a position of this point among the contour lines indicates the current performance of the turbine. This point is updated once per second, while performance data remain the same for considerable amounts of time between recalculations (days or weeks).

  Is it possible to update the value from a single source in a conspiracy of several XY graph without having to redraw all parcels?

  I tried to use the 'Active Plot' property, which does not work.

  My current solution is to keep all the input data to the execution of the while loop and replace a subset of table plot, but which of course requires the entire rewrite whenever the plot of operating point is updated.

  You can't redraw a single parcel. If you want to update a single parcel, you must keep all parcels in a shift that and replace the desired field data. However, your problem seems much simpler than that. To display a single point on a ground almost static, you have several options.

  1. You can use a cursor that is controlled by program (the style can be a point, do not allow to drag).
  2. You can use annotations.
  3. You can use the "plot images" feature which allows you to use the picture controls to draw anything on top a chart.

  None of these ideas need a refresh of the data.

  I think that the idea of cursor is probably the easiest and most appropriate. Just use a node of property with the following properties:

  • active cursor
  • cursor x position
  • cursor position y

  I use between three computers (1-Win7 Pro x 64 single monitor, 1-WinXP Pro x 86 two monitors, 1-WinXP Home x 86 single monitor) and a single keyboard and mouse. It works fine for me, I used it for over a year without any problems. The Win7 Pro and WinXP Pro have both run several virtual machines too.

  There are several other kvm software available (Google is your friend) I tried several before input Director.

  You might want to run the ADD and CLEAR methods in their own son so that it can run in the background without slowing down your user interface.

  I also reuse rather a single button for several features instead of to apply with hundreds of nodes used only rarely with masses of code to show and hide as needed.

  The first image you provided shows a small 'Attention' sign on the "request for quote-global-TF" which, I guess, gives you the sentence.

  Although I had several questions about this request before that separately have been resolved, there is one last thing that remains difficult.

  However, using single-point timed equipment acquisition I can easily do that without a problem. Even just reading

  a single sample once with a sampling frequency of 1000 Hz does not have a problem. But impossible to use the block of relaxation of reference as a signal to stop with this setting!

  Question:

  For me, there are two solutions, but so far I could not work on one of them:

  (1) build a stop trigger in an single point of timed material acquisition

  (2) change something in the acquisition of finished so that I can read faster.

  Any suggestions, what causes the difference between the two speeds to be able to read the data and a way to solve it?

  Mark,

  I mocked how I think I would like to address the issue and tied it to the top.  The general idea is that we use HWTSP for our analog I/o and counter looking edges on our signal "stop".  Each iteration of the loop, we check if we saw the stop signal.  If we have, then we write zero for the output channels and stop the loop.  If this isn't the case, write us the data of your comments, we have calculated.  I've added some comments on the block diagram that I hope are useful.  I have currently no any material of series E share, so it may not work properly out of the box, but I thought it would point you in the right direction.

  I offer this precaution:

  Windows is not a real-time operating system.  Therefore, it may take the liberty to give as much CPU time to other processes or applications as he likes.  As a result, it is likely that you will not miss a few samples (IE, your loop will not go faster hardware issues are examples of clock).  I configured DAQmx must return a warning you when this happens.
