Two vista operating system installed, but only starts

Hello

I hope someone could help me to overcome this problem:

My laptop with vista venus hm so high-end, as I bought it in Germany had German language. So I bought ultimate in English and do a new installation. I was very happy with it, but yesterday I tried to install the original hp vista to do the dual boot. As it was provided by Toshiba Recovery CD, it was put directly to install on the HARD disk. I knew that it will erase all data, if there is, to HDD1 and install the operating system and other programs (as it was put in the BIOS to boot from there), but previously I already installed the ultimate in disk HARD 2. I thought, the vista hp will be in 1 HDD and ultimate will be in 2 HDD so I can choose at the beginning that one to start.

However, after the installation of vista hp it show at the beginning of any other OS and just start with vista hp without giving no possibility to choose which start first. I checked this ultimate is also there, but I can't start. Can anyone, please, help me? I'd appreciate any suggestion, information and help. Thank you

Greetings
Suraj

Hello

You can use the 'Vista Boot Pro' tool, which is a very good tool to manage the startup options if you have multiple operating systems installed.
Just go here-> http://www.vistabootpro.org/
and download the tool.

With the help of this tool, you should be able to start the two OS´s on your machine.

Welcome them

  • 32-bit and 64-bit Vista operating system installed, trying to get the webcam to take photo

I have a HP Webcam who settled in the factory on my pc laptop pavilion dv3510nr. I was able to take pictures with her when I'm on Facebook, but of course I can't understand yet how to do anything else with it at all outside of Facebook. I read something that said I had to download the latest version of Quickplay, but when I entered the information for my computer, Quickplay appears. I finally found something called YouCam and downloaded that. I downloaded the 64 bit version. I did it for the version 32 - bit still.

I want to know if I need to keep download two sets of everything. I have 64-bit Internet Explorer available, but usually use 32-bit because not all websites have upgraded to 64 - bit yet. I'm just a little confused, I guess. I don't know when to download what version of bits. Can you help me?

    Luanne

you don't have to download 2 sets of drivers. If you have a 64-bit operating system, then download the 64-bit drivers. 32-bit operating system you only need 32-bit drivers. Some 32-bit drivers will work for 64-bit os.

As far the webcam goes you can go here to download the quickplay update

  • Re: Serial number down would work with the other Windows Vista operating system

First of all sorry for my English.
    I have one question.

My hard drive is broken with my recovery partition.
If I download windows vista and install the system with my original serial number on the laptop, this will work or should I activate it after installation.

I hope it's the same number that the front is installed on my first installation.

    Hello Marcin

I doubt that the serial number that is placed at the bottom of the device works with another Windows Vista operating system. But it s worth a try
You could test it I heard it's very rare cases it was possible

In any case, if your HARD disk is damaged and it of not possible to create a recovery DVD using recovery software Toshiba disc creator, then you must contact the ASP in your country for assistance.

If the warranty is valid the HARD drive should be replaced just for free. If you need only the recovery DVDs, then you can order it here:

I would like to install Windows XP on my computer and get rid of the Vista operating system.  Can I do this?  I only have 512 MB of Ram and 32-bit processor.

    Hello

There are a few things that you would have to do to install XP instead of Vista:

    1. contact the manufacturer of your computer and see if the XP drivers are available for your computer model to make sure that XP has worked properly in this regard.

    2. If the XP Drivers are available, buy a XP disk operating system / license. Try local computer repair shops because Microsoft sells more than XP and online sale buy you pirated copies can cause. Be very careful.

3 XP runs with 512 MB of RAM, although a little slow by today's standards.

    4. do a clean install of XP. Make sure that all your data is backed up as the hard will be cleaned of everything during the Installation of XP.

    Hello

I would like to inform you that Jucheck.exe is the process that runs automatically when the Java Update tool is activated. Jucheck.exe usually checks the Internet for the software updates available and invite you to install them to keep your updated program. If you prefer to search and download the Java updates manually whenever you want, disable Java Update automatic tool disables and removes Jucheck.exe

  • I want to continue to use my current Vista operating system, but I forgot to turn it off before changing the parts of my PC. Now, whenever I try to turn it on, it says that the license is already in use.

Transfer of license with a twist

So I've recently upgraded to a new system... Virtually everything has been replaced - the motherboard, RAM, graphics card, processor... Everything but my HARD drive. I want to continue to use my current Vista operating system, but I forgot to turn it off before changing the parts of my PC. Now, whenever I try to turn it on, it says that the license is already in use.

Is there anyway for me to be able to turn it on for my new rig? Thank you.

If you have a retail copy of Vista, you must activate by phone.  Click Start, type "slui 4" and press ENTER.

    See http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940315

If your copy of Vista is preinstalled on your computer, you can't use it with the new motherboard and you will need to purchase a copy of the license full of Windows.  Most of the editions of Vista out of support in two months so consider Windows 7.
