• By default, the choice type cs6 InDesign

• Creating Type backside in InDesign CS2

  Work with InDesign CS2 - not sure how to reverse type.  Md7 had an option under Type of Style to reverse type (white change to display in a black box).

  Cannot find such a feature in InDesign CS2.   How the type is reversed in InDesign CS2?  Only way I've seen is to select the type and the color white (not easy to type that seems color selection).  Is there a quick and easy way to reverse type in InDesign CS2?

  Well beyond the factual answer to Ken... it is not easy because it is robust. You can do much more with the color type in the ID you can in another application where there is just a box "Reverse type". In fact, just about all areas, ID is more robust, so if you really need a way to change the color of the text, there are at least three or four different ways to do that, some more automated than others and if the multitude of options still is not enough, you can write a Javascript or Applescript or VB script to do it for you.

  But no, there is no adjustment for 'type backside' unless you do it yourself. I suggest a character with a keyboard shortuct style.

• InDesign CC 2015: Error of fonts when opening "original Version missing."

  We use a type (Universal Type Server) with Adobe CC Manager.

  When you open a file in InDesign CC 2015 I get an error: saying "original Version missing."

  The original version of the x of the fonts in the document is not found in the database of the universal Type.

  BUT no fonts are really missing in the file.

  When to skip or cancel, the message keeps inviting every 5 seconds when working in the file.

  Anyone had this problem before?

  I just Extensis support on this issue:

  "Pick best match when original is missing" must be activated in the preferences to activate automatic universal Type.

  You can find it in the menu Type in InDesign.

  Regarding notes dialing number.

  • You mention that you use InDesign book to combine the different chapters in a single EPUB export: for each of these various documents, check the following: Type > Options Document reference. What is the number of defined starting to for each of the documents? They pursue all sequentially the last issue of the previous document in the book? It could be that you skipped a number there may be?
  • Otherwise by manually changing the numbers could inadvertently "broken" anything. You cannot manually select the number in the text of the note at the bottom of the page and change the number, that will not update the number of reference in the text. Your notes would be out.
  • My recommendation, in this case, I recommend that you re - insert references, to the help Type of InDesign help > Insert reference before you redo an EPUB export.

  On document splitting in some places:

  • When you enable Document Split, what other parameter did you get the permit?
  • If you are using based on the paragraph tag Style export, then to check export of marking of paragraph style settings in the Options of paragraph Style dialog box. is 'Split 'Document' option selected? • Missing fonts in InDesign packed file

  Hi, I am looking to get an indesign file off the coast of a trainee Designer in another office. He conditioned, but there are still mssing fonts, and most of the text is highlighted in pink. I will paste the following text file, so you can see that some fonts are missing. I activated all the files in the fonts folder, but it is looking for Helvetica Neue T1 in 4 different weights (slim 35, 45 Light, Roman 55, 75 "BOLD"), none of them are in the folder fonts. My apologies if I'm being dumb and missed something obvious.

  I'm on a mac using CS5 on a single computer and CS6 on another, he works with or. I think they are on a mac, as far as I know.

  Tell the other designer to replace the HelveticaNeue.dfont and instances of Times.dfont by the HelveticaNeue.otf and the same with the time and then repackage. You can't have its own version of this font.

  Hi, I'm not a programmer VC ++ itself, so you can't give the code, but I can give some general measures that can you can get and hopefully solve your problem.

  We can use the COM Indesign object to hunting Indesign and its functionlaity of VC ++ or c# and other. What we need to do is import tlb files in our project so that we have the declerations of the methods exposed by the COM of Indesign interface and make a call to them.

  The .tlb file is present at "C:\ProgramData\Adobe\InDesign\Version Visual Support\7.0\Resources for Basic.tlb 7.0\en_US\Scripting. You can use this to create your .h files using the #import statement.

  Once you have created .h I think that you will be able to call the methods of Indesign, of course, you will need to create an instance of the Indesign application.

  PS: The .tlb file exists in several places in your system in order to be sure that you use the last LBR. You can search for "resources for Visual Basic.tlb", rename it, and then start Indesign (it must re-create these files that will have the latest model of the object). On Win7 launch Indesign using Admin privelages to other teas file will not be created.

  Close visual studio, close indesign.

  InDesign opened by a right-click and select run as administrator.  Just do it once, all subsequent charges may be under the normal permission set.  This allows InDesign create the applicable type libraries.

  Now load your project, and then select Add a reference on the COM tab, it should now be a library of types of work Adobe InDesign CS5.

  Then it's as simple as:

  InDesign.ApplicationClass App = new InDesign.ApplicationClass ();

  App.DoScript (_ScriptToProcess.ToString (), InDesign.idScriptLanguage.idJavascript, new Object() {""}); sends the script to indesign for treatment (not assyncronous)

  My boss asked me to design a short Bulletin of society, assuming that it was in my skill set and having no desire to do it herself.  Given that I know hardly InDesign, I decided to do every bit of color/graphics/design on Photoshop on a canvas the same dimensions that the newsletter and then put this image in InDesign as a background and just make the text above it.  A stupid idea, but it was probably the best I could come up with.  My problem is:

  When I place the psd file in InDesign image takes a very significant loss of quality.  I tried to place a jpeg but as expected, which was just in the wrong.  Copy and paste did not work because it says that the Clipboard was unable to export due to the size of the image.  Is this a problem with the way InDesign presents in preview the images or have I missed something?

  I'm working on MacBook, I had 3 years ago with InDesign CS3 and Photoshop CS3.

  You are doing well, just don't worry that it's not all look good in Indesign, export press quality PDF format, and watch this instead.  Or go and see > display performance and change of high quality but screen that will slow your machine a bit.

  For the rest, I would recommend doing any type in Indesign, a lot easier to keep NET this way.  Theer are ways of doing it in photoshop and keep it sharp but why make life difficult?

  where Type "ss" indesign automatically happening to "ss". even search and replace works dosn´t.

  in the search 'box', I put a "ss" by typing the key on my keyboard.

  Then, copy the glyph "ss" and paste it into the box 'replace '. When I tell indesign to change everything, it s still the "ss".

  you are looking for a "ss" also concludes the "ss" which automatically replaced indesign, not those where I typed "s" and "s" again because I want a 'real' ss.

  a new indesign document, not the models that we received from the Netherlands, works perfectly.

  by pressing the button "ss" on my keyboard and and voila: there is a "ss" on my screen, not the "ss".

  so I guess it's a matter of the original language. but the change of language in the Toolbox character, dosn´t had no effect on my problem.

  Question: wir haben niederlandische layouts get. der kunde verwendet die frutiger.

  Wenn ich "ss" write, ersetzt er're mit "ss". Search/replace works nicht (by tastendruck ss in box suchen und copying der glyph in box replace die, change, works leider nicht alle)

  beim suchen nach "ss" old er alle "ss" die bad als "ss" wurden, nicht die normal ss eben die eingetippt mit 2 x tippen "s" geschrieben wurden auf.

  ich habe versucht a:

  Microsoft word, textedit und vor allem bei neuen EIB indesign documents tritt das problem nicht auf.

  vermute ICH, dass are something mit der sprache zu tun Hat original, in dem die dokumente standing wurden.

  Leider hilft're nicht, die sprache in der box 'Indication' umzustellen.

  Hat irgendjemand idea wie kann man nerv-problem losen sharps?

• Implementation of master to be layered under a background Image Pages

  I created a basic content on a Master Page I want it repeated on several pages. However, sometimes I need to have images that covers the whole page and when this happens, the images automatically sit on the Master Page content and hide everything from the Master Page. Is there a way to make the content of a Master Page in layers below the image?

  You yourself gave the answer: use layers for each content type in InDesign.

  I recommend to use the following layers in InDesign:

  • Image
  • Graphics
  • Text
  • Text overlays
  • Page numbers
  • Guides
