  • U2312HM, "clearer" pixel problem

I recently bought two monitors Dell Ultrasharp U2312HM site Web of Dell Canada, but we have a strange problem, there is a small area of the screen (two very small points to be precise), I noticed where the brightness of the pixels is higher than it should be. Please note that I don't know pixels bright/stuck as change colors normally those pixels, but are simply brighter. This can be easily seen when the background is white, but is present with any color (red/green/blue). Some pictures (sorry for the bad quality, it is not clear from the pictures but with the naked eye is very annoying):

The strange thing is that this area "clearer" seems to be "behind" the screen itself and "moves" if I change my point of view by moving my head (looks like a 'hole' in the control panel). I would like to know if this monitor can be replaced and what should I do to start the procedure?

    Thank you

I have to ship my rear monitor or Dell will pay shipping costs?
    * As long as you have the warranty, we will pay the shipping costs.

I am outside the 30 days, so I'll be getting a refurbished/used monitor if I understand. I'm not very familiar with refurbished items and I would not receive a monitor in worse conditions than mine (in terms of scratches, bad pixels, etc.).
    * You get the following in the queue. They look not for good, better, or best.

I know, for example, plus a monitor is used to exit panel color deepens. What is the difference between a monitor used/refurbished and a new?
    * There is no way to answer this question.

If I'm not happy with the refurbished monitor can I change once again?
    * Yes. You simply go through the whole process to get another used Exchange.

  • U2312HM monitor problems

    Hello

I would like to ask what had happened on this monitor?
    My monitor is U2312HM IPS.

This appears when I turn on my computer desk for 5 minutes.

    Thank you.

The dealer will not do anything.

    * If you purchased the monitor by itself, Dell will provide a warranty of 3 years from the date of manufacturer built into the serial number alphanumeric monitor 20 digits. So if the dealer had on their shelf for 6 months, you get only 2 1/2 years of warranty. That's the price to pay for not buying the monitor directly from Dell
    * 24 "and more small Dell monitors do not receive a service number, so you can't 'save' using Dell's online tools
    * Because you bought the monitor by itself from a reseller, you must follow these instructions
Save the invoice of the shop
    * If you need a replacement of the screen, you will need to contact Customer Service by telephone (not Technical Support) for your country
    * You you provide by e-mail or fax an image or a PDF of the original invoice showing the date of purchase and your information. If you lose the original invoice, we will not be guaranteed the monitor
    * You would provide the following data for the Customer Service representative if you need a replacement monitor in this 3 year derived from alphanumeric to 20-digit serial number:

  • Gradient and flickering U2312HM red lines problems

Then I found this post here and now have exactly the same question.

I made the diagnosis, as written in the post linked above and here is the result:

The images are too big for here so this link should suffice: http://imgur.com/a/UfBfc#0

Next step for me, as a 24 "monitors you not a Service tag would be to ask the next thing of customer support tomorrow (as it's too late for that now). Or what I could do?

It was made on 5 October 2012. Thus, the warranty ended October 5, 2015.

  • U2312HM backlight turns off

    Hello

I have the new U2312HM, connected to HP dock station with DVI cable. I noticed, that sometimes backlight of my monitor off on some changes. Sometimes it shuts off when the UAC Windows screen appears, sometimes does not take back the energy saving mode. Unfortunately, the problem is intermittent, I can't always reproduce. Monitor driver is updated to CD, my system is laptop HP 6730 b, updated graphics drivers updated to the latest version available.

When I used another monitor Dell U24xx, he had no such difficulty. Please suggest how to check that the monitor is good or bad.

My unit has been replaced by the retailer. New unit has no described default.

No matter its new or reconditioned, I really want one more to compensate for the double posting please.

Or y at - it another way that I can get one?

    Please check it out... ~ ~ ~

OFC I did, if you open these links... you will see that all these links are critical. Only newegg.ca has but the price is not good enough.

From this link, you can get it at: Rakuten.com, AztekComputers.com, ServerPartsWarehouse.com, Officedepot.fr.  Price is higher, but it is available.

$240 "is not good enough..." I suppose then that you were hoping for a price of reduced output/release killer on it now that Dell sells more, but you probably won't find it for much cheaper that that (from a site of the retail - perhaps eBay as an alternative)... at least for a while.  $240CAD is $ 40 less that its initial price at retail, and given that technology is always topical, it won't probably not 'clearanced"anytime soon.

I'm in the Canada, shipping costs are too expensive

Amazon isn't a with free shipping, but the price is high.

I thought that this forum has custom supporter to answer the questions... but seems not.

This forum is hosted by Dell, but employees of Dell RARELY interact with visitors here.  It is above all a user forum.  If you have a question that only Dell can answer (like the Jersey and the problems of availability), you will need to call or chat with their sales to the Canada Department.

  • U2312HM weird display

My Dell U2312HM UltraSharp suddenly has scratches and a display distorted, see photos.

I use this screen with a Macbook Pro (end 2013) via an HDMI to DVI cable. I checked the Macbook with another screen and screen with different laptops (Windows). The Macbook gives a clear result on HDMI. In addition, I did a factory reset on the monitor. Nothing has improved the situation, yet.

What can I do about it?

If after doing the reset monitor to the factory settings and you had the same problem of monitor on more than one computer, download Exchange monitor.

  • Video problems after installation of NAP on Windows7

I'm rebuilding my computer (XPS 400) after a hard disk failure, installed OS (Windows 7), and other programs without issue. I have a monitor relatively new U2312HM, (about a year), the drivers installed and software Power Nap of the disc, now at random, the monitor disconnects and connects again while working on the computer. This isn't a problem with screensaver, it happens when I'm active on the computer. Then he would go empty and come on little no matter what I did with the mouse or the keyboard. I had to make a hard stop down. Computer starts and all goes well, and then it starts all over again. Monitor works fine, press the menu, get message not getting input from the computer. I have a videocard, NVIDIA G-Force 6800 (original to the computer)

Note, I uninstalled NAP without difference, also I am not under any demanding graphic programs. I suspect my graphics card goes... someone has any ideas?

Specifications of the computer XPS 400, CPU speed 3.0 Ghz 4.0 GB RAM

My computer specs, what card should should I need to replace?

    Hi wla57,

As the problem occurs when you click on a link, you can try to copy and paste the link in a new browser window to see if it works.

  • U2312HM discoloration on right side

    Hello

My Dell U2312HM is having a few problems. It's noticeable in normal conditions of use, as a fading to the right side of the screen, but also pixelation, manifesting in horizontal lines dark.

I ran the self test by pressing the button 1 & 4, and it is more visible on the gray test, in which there is a gradient of color from left to right. The right has a blue/green tint that is important as shown in this image - http://imgur.com/a/lvviV (images of other tests included). These tests were conducted without DVI cable inserted, but the results are the same regardless. I must also emphasize that the camera does not quite capture the full measure of this. This had already happened with the monitor several weeks ago, but resolved itself after having been unplugged for about 12 hours. I didn't the same luck this time unfortunately.

If I could benefit from information on this problem, or if necessary, the steps I have to take in order to have the monitor replaced, I would be very grateful.

Hi Chris (and to others with this problem)

I thought I was coming back on this forum just to thank Chris for his advice and say that Dell did indeed replace my screen. Navigation in the helpline phone took a bit of time (the United Kingdom), but once I got to the right person, they have been remarkably helpful - because I could describe the question and say that I had done all the built-in diagnostics etc they have agreed that the flaw and a new screen arrived the next day. I have to say that once I had a customer support person assigned to me, and we were then contacted by email, they were really very well arrange for the old and the new monitor arrived to get carried away.

    Good luck to others!

    Best

    Isabelle

PS as far as I can see politics of the United Kingdom on the guarantee and 24 "screens appear to reflect the US one - automatic 3 year warranty despite not having a label of service etc. However, he noted it seems to run from the date of manufacture, if you buy from a third party - Dell thought that my screen was a year old already, while I only had it for 6 months, but then I bought it from a third party. Something to keep in mind.

  • Just ordered U2312HM - what revision will I receive?

I recently placed an order for a U2312HM to the United Kingdom via Amazon. Because of the lead time, I assume that they had no stock at the time and order on request.

I read a lot about the review letters and what flaws have been corrected with each of them.

If I understand correctly, I should receive the most recent revision - if not, then why not?

If I come back under warranty so I can get a refurbished unit (based on the time of purchase - I understand that).

For this particular monitor, is there a list of reference numbers / revisions with a list of changes?

Is there really a revision A06, which fixes the problem ("spark") anti-glare who notice a little?

EBay is full of models A06, but all I can find officially only after Rev A05, part number changed and went to Rev 00.

All I'm looking for is a DELL 'official' list of revisions, release dates and something important that has been in place/changed/fixed in this revision.
I'm only interested in UK versions but I'm sure that others may be interested in other markets.

    PhilT_GP,

If I understand correctly, I should receive the most recent revision - if not, then why not?
    * Amazon buys in bulk. There is no way of knowing what changes they can get or how long they keep them on the shelves. We don't sell their revision.

Review data are confidential Dell. I can't discuss it. Part numbers =

  • Unable to Scan to the computer after downloading macOS Sierra. Is this a software problem?

How can I scan from HP Envy 4500 to computer after downloading macOS Sierra?

    Hello wdemetris,

Thanks for asking for scanning helps here in the Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have access to your scanner and am happy to offer help for this.

As a precaution, we always recommend that you have backups to make sure that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup using Time Machine and an external hard drive. Use this article to help make a backup of your Mac: use Time Machine to back up or restore your Mac.

Then, in accordance with article help: printer and scanner for Sierra, El Capitan, Yosemite, and the Mavericks macOS software, the HP Envy 4500 e-all-in-one is supported for printing and scanning. The drivers must be installed, but if not, if it please go to the App Store and check the updates tab to see if there are updates for HP. If there is, please install.

If you have only general questions about how to get your updated scanner in place or how to scan pictures, please check out these two articles: macOS Sierra: implement a scanner & macOS Sierra: scan images or documents. Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I got your message which, since updating your iPhone 6 to iOS 10.0.2 your iPhone stops when it is 40% and the power to empty very quickly. I understand your concern with the iPhone turn off and drains the battery. I recommend you to review the use of the battery to see what app contributes more to the battery drain. The following article will provide you with steps on how to check the use of the battery:

  • MacBook Pro display problem

    Hello members of the community.

As of recently, I have noticed some glitches when feeding on my MacBook or awakened from his sleep.

The colors are distorted, usually with pink, green, or yellow blobs. Blobs cannot entirely replace the colors, they appear to be contained in a element would normally be. For example. the menu bar will be partially pink and white, but pink does not leave the menu bar in this area, and the Office has green lines on it.

I tried to take a screenshot, but the problem resolves in about 20 seconds, but it's a recurring problem.

It happens when I wake up, connection or not. I had also certain powers serious and problems of performance, such that my MagSafe LED would not illuminate when plugged on rare occasions, fan could turn unnecessarily, graphics performance were SUPER slow, and the health of my battery was running out quickly. I actually ran a report on the system at 2 different times and my quality of full load is depleting of 1.2% per charge cycle, which is very worrying. I went from 6281 mAh mAh 6138 maximum capacity after two cycles of load. I'm tracking closely it because at this rate, my battery will survive only at load cycles about 150 instead of the 1000 expected, gives me the idea that this could very well be a bad battery. The computer is also warm to the touch while you sleep, not connected to the power supply. I NAP active but even taking into account should not be hotter my iPhone did the same thing.

I have reset the SMC, and it solved a couple of problems. The charger works fine now and my performance improved considerably (which made me feel better, either it is a high-performance laptop, a 11-inch MacBook Air should not he surpass), and battery life has improved. I feel even if it uses a lot of power in his sleep. Maybe I need to turn off the NAP and see if that makes a difference. The graphic bug still persists however, and I don't have enough time to see if the max battery is depleting again.

In regards to the bug, is there something that can be done? Basically, I want to assure you that I took all appropriate measures or if someone else has this problem to see if it can be software related instead of my computer.

I have the entry level MacBook Pro with the retina, last generation.

    Any constructive contribution welcome!

    See you soon.

  • with IOS 10.0.2 - 5s iphone Bluetooth problems

Since upgrading ISO 10.0.2 my M50 from PLT Plantronics (helmet unique headset) do not reliably connects with my iPhone 5 more. I have to go to the settings, activate bluetooth turned off/turned on, touch the device on the bluetooth page, etc. Once it connects successfully, it will reconnect (if I turn off the headset and turn it back on) for a short period. The next day he does not connect itself but I play with bluetooth on the iPhone again.

It has always worked perfectly before the 10th of IOS.

And, as I noticed others mentioning, the volume is much lower with IOS 10. The maximum volume is much lower. I can barely hear it now, more normal background noise, while driving.

    I did:

Forget this device for the PLT M50 and paired again (several times)

I did a Reset Network Settings

    I don't know what else to do - but it's a 10.0.2 IOS issue.

    Hello AppleUser2k,

Please ask questions about your problems of connection between your iPhone and your Plantronics headset since you upgraded to iOS 10. I understand how important it is to have your Bluetooth devices connect with your iPhone with reliability. Here's what I recommend.

The first thing we want to make sure is that all your data is safe. You can perform a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: backing up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Once your data is safe, try the troubleshooting steps in this article to help: get help to connect a Bluetooth accessory with your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device should also check with the manufacturer that the device has all the drivers and firmware to work with the new version of iOS.

If you have checked everything and that you have installed the latest firmware or driver and always are problems, please be aware of your surroundings when you encounter these problems. If you can isolate the time or location, you see the problems, you can isolate the cause. You can even see this help article to ensure that you are not affected by outside interference: the potential sources of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
