U2410 popped capacitor

I have a U2410 attached to a GTX 460 and power UPS.  As I used it earlier, it suddenly started making a buzzing got louder for a few seconds, followed by a noise loud and the screen goes black.  Then the screen immediately this is relit and seems to work very well.  I'm sure it was a capacitor to burst.  None of my other devices connected to the UPS has any problem, so he was not due to a power surge.

Is this something I should be worried?  Are there security concerns if I continue using it?  From what I can tell, the screen still works fine.

I use this monitor for about a year, but since I have it's new, but not directly from Dell, I don't have service on the subject tag info (because it seems that the service tags are not included on the U2410 itself), so apparently impossible to contact the support for that.

Thank you

Monitors are never repaired, only replaced. Even if you have purchased from a retailer, guaranteed Dell it covers even if still under warranty.

Can someone tell me what is the error, because the PC won't even be the bios screen? Spontaneously, he stopped working and only gives these beep codes as your comments, which are totally different from the documented standard beep codes... No contoumement not spotted on the card either... I am considering buying a new motherboard, but would like to know what happened. :/

I think it's a HP Pavilion Media Center m8530f desktop PC, but could have confused the model number... it is certainly the same as this one. It has a BIOS of HP, so I looked at the HP Bios Beep Codes, but these beeps are certainly not one of those documented...

I filmed and uploaded the beeps on youtube, please take a look:

    EthemD, welcome to the forum.

You did a great job recording audio signals.  I read them as a short and a long.  That tells me that you probably have a memory problem.  Here is a guide that you can see what I mean.

  • pop on the market

    P7-1235-win7-64

    refurbished 90 days warranty

I'm a 'pop' strong start, as the power button is pushed, well before any software can start loading. before spinning of discs upward.

It is, I am sure, a hardware problem.

I'm afraid that this pop is caused by the same thing that once plagued equipment stereo oldschool - unfiltered AC surge peaking.  In modern power supplies, this pic is suppressed by a combination of capacitors and coils. I think me is not doing its job and therefore continue both electronics and (more worrying for me) the delicate mechanics of the disks.

However, there is no accompanying flash of the monitor, which may indicate that the outbreak is only voltage on bus. Can someone tell me if the audio and video players are on the same bus? Or reassure me that this pop thing is common with HP machines? -I have, BTW, never heard that on any other ' puter.

    Hello

You should not receive a 'pop' at startup.  I'm not a real fan of refurbished PC.  Yours might be a view model that PC returned in accreditation which means normally the PC is good or in a different situation with a PC that had an intermittent problem that was returned.

Disconnect the PC and open it.  Make sure that the power cables are well connected at each location on the motherboard.

Remove the surge protectors, UPS etc... and make sure the electrical outlet is in good working order (both neutral and Earth).

The old stereo equipment that I used once "Snap" experience as the sound of a discharge of static electricity that was generally associated to the turntables, but never a "pop."

You experience an abnormal situation.  If the problem is not in your environment, then return the PC.

  • Analysis of capacitor

    Hello

I'm trying to do a transient analysis of a circuit of capacitor, in Multisim, I implemented the circuit as shown below:

But when I do the analysis, that is all I get:

Does anyone know what im doing wrong

    Thanks in advance

    Ewan

    Hi Ewan,

It's a very good question that you asked, and had me confused the first time too. What you need to do, IE Multisim your capacitor starts discharged. By default, Multisim amounted to what this state of balance tensions are and start the simulation from here. What you want to do is the following:

1 - Double click on the thread that connects the resistance and capacitor. Net window will pop up.

2 - check the box titled use IC for transient analysis (IC means initial conditions).

3 - Enter the voltage that your condenser starts to. If you assume that the capacitor starts discharged, enter 0.

    4 - click OK.

5 - try to perform the transient analysis again.

    Hope that helps.

Depending on your router model, there should be a way of

disable DHCP.  It is a method used by the router to assign

IP addresses on your local network when any device attempts

connect you to it.  You can then manually assign IP addresses to only

These devices that you want to have access to your router.

If you haven't already done so, you must also change the password (and also

username if the router required) to something else and much stronger.

If it is always the default, with which it was delivered, anyone can understand this.

In addition, if the router is a network capable wireless as well, you must disable the comments

    access and create stronger passwords.

Also, make sure that all firewalls is enabled on devices and the

    router.

As every router is different, you will need to check the manufacturer's instructions

    to make these changes.

  • Opening of session of Sierra produced several pop-up windows

Since the upgrade to Sierra a series of pop-up windows appears right after the desktop appears.  One is a settings dialog box "analysis of the PC" apparently linked to the Canon MX920 we use, even if the printer/Scanner sharing is disabled in system preferences.

A second pop-up window is an error Java SDK chronic also appeared after the initial upgrade of El Capitan.  This popup is displayed regardless of the question of whether Java is updated to the latest rev, or once the Pref window disappears completely in the system preferences panel.

The windows popup to third and following related to the parameters of the firewall for "openinfo" network connections, "openexec" and "openbase.  These popups appear even if the settings of the firewall have been set to 'Allow' or 'Block' inbound network traffic for each of them... and for "openbase" even once the OpenBase Pref Pane has been removed from the System Prefs.  In addition, they appear even after the firewall has been disabled.

The next update of Sierra should address these errors as soon as POSSIBLE or we will return to Yosemite.

Changing the settings of firewall to block all incoming connections eliminates the popups mentioned in the third paragraph above.

The "Scan of the PC Settings" and the Java SDK error dialog boxes always appear after the successful logon.  Running MalwareBytes and ClamXav do not eliminate these pop-up windows.

  • Siri is disabled but the pop-up keeps asking if I want to activate.

After update to Sierra I activated the Siri, but it kept open without prompting, which has been a nuisance. For the next, I disabled Siri in system preferences. Now, a pop up keeps asking if I want to activate Siri. Happen every minute or two and sometimes every few seconds.  How can I stop this?

FWIW, I had installed since the first Sierra developer beta and it is never once opened without asking for confirmation. If accidentally you press command + space bar which will open Siri. I have no idea why, if disabled it keeps asking if you want to activate it unless you are pressing and by now the command + SPACEBAR.
