U2414H, video card has only DVI?

I just got the U2414H monitor several days ago. I realized that the monitor is not a good cable to connect to my PC. My computer does not have a graphics card. It can only support DVI. How am I supposed to use this new monitor?

    Hi fabriciofla,

My apologies for the information I have given in the previous post. Dell Inspiron One 2320 a NVIDIA Optimus technology then you will not be able to update the drivers on the manufacturer's Web site. Ask you to wait that we test pilots and launch it on the Dell support site (time is not fixed).

  • U2415, a VGA and DVI video card?

    Hello

We recently bought 4 u2415 dell screens for our company's graphic design team, I am a manger IT to my company, but the screen was not given by me and we encountered a problem linking them. The video card has only 1 single VGA port and a DVI port and because of this, I bought several adapters and cables to try to connect these monitors but I still can't get no signal, please help, I'm a little before I sent monitors to the advertiser. For VGA, I bought an active adapter convert it that HDMI port, I connect via dp to hdmi cable and get still no signal. For DVI, I bought a dp cable dvi and im still getting no signal. Please tell me what is wrong and if have a little chance to connect these monitors today before im refer to them.

The cables you bought are designed to go to DP to HDMI or DVI monitor video card. You can't go back.

  • Upgrade the video card on HPE-112Y

Hey, I've been looking to update my video card in the HPE-112Y, but honestly, I know almost nothing about computer hardware. How will I know what types of cards will work, or adapt? Do I need a better diet? What types of cards are actually good and worth the money? Help please, thank you.

furrysparks has writtenkay, one last question. These two cards physically enters the computer?

Hello furrysparks, here are the dimensions on both cards.

    NVIDIA GTS 250 product Dimensions: 9.5 x 2 x 4.4 inches

    Dimensions of the XFX HD-577 X 8.8 "x 4.4" card

Remember that the cable connects to the back, so it will take just a little more space in the case that these dimensions.

Just to be safe, I unplug the power cord and remove the Panel and measure the space between the end of the slot of the motherboard at the back of the case and the front of the PCIe x 16 slot. This measure should be at least 10 to 10.5 inches for the Nvidia card and 9, 5-10, 0 inches for the XFX card.

I noticed that the Nvidia card has each of the HDMI, VGA, DVI connectors while the XFX card has only 2 DVI and a mini-Port connector. This cannot be a factor if you use DVI or have or are looking for an adapter DVI to HDMI if you wish.

  • Three monitors on two AMD Radeon HD7470 video cards

I just got a Minitour OptiPlex 9010 with 2 dual AMD Radeon HD7470 1 GB graphics cards.  When I placed my order, I told them that I wanted to connect three monitors.  The VGA port has been inactive for other video cards have been installed.  I've been on technical support for more than three hours, when they finally decided to send a tech.  He was released the next day and told me that I needed a split adapter.  I ordered an and he hung up but there was showed the same jobs and I was unable to make changes to the resolution, etc.  Video cards have a DVI and a displayport.  I can connect a DVI monitor and others in the displayport and the monitor then third on the second video card?  Or can I just add another video card to the Tower?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!

    Hi pbondcb,

You must connect the first monitor to the DVI port and the second for the DisplayPort on the first graphics card. The second monitor must be connected to the DisplayPort with the appropriate cable. You can connect the monitor third DVI port on the second graphics card.  You must enable the display via the Catalyst Control Center under Windows, using the Eyefinity function. The third monitor works only in Windows.

I hope you find this information useful.

  • HP m8000: unrecognized in the PCI-Express x 16 slot video card.

I am upgrading to a former m8000. Hp already put a new 750 watt PSU in it Corsair and it does not always recognize any of 3 pci-e video cards I've tried. I already went into the bios and changed the video settings to pci-e and still nothing. Is there only certain video cards compatible with this thing or what. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much

This is because the latest gen video card is compatible with UEFI BIOS, not the legacy BIOS that has your PC.

The BIOS legacy do not see it as a gift.

You will need a video card that only inherited BIOS compatibility or that has a switch that allows you to group compatibility legacy BIOS and UEFI BIOS.   Sapphiretech of the 200 series r7 r9-300 series video cards meet the criterion.

  • HP Compaq DC7800 SFF - no sound from the HP FX380 Video Card connector

The above machine was working perfectly until I installed a HP FX380 graphics card.

I wanted to improve graphics performance as it was slow when you use Adobe Photoshop and did not support OpenGL. The resolution of my screen (1920 x 1200) also seems to challenge the on-board graphics chip.

I bought a HP NVIDIA Quadro FX380 thought (512 MB) graphics card that using a card in a HP computer HP has been a guarantee of success, but it was not to be!

The FX380 mounting was easy, but there is only one in the DC 7800 PCI-Express slot, so I had to remove the original graphic adapter (a double buffer x 16 Silicon Image AD02-N card). As far as I see it, there is no audio on this map.

When I rebooted the new graphics card was correctly recognized, and I was able to install the video drivers with no problems. Graphics performance has also been greatly improved, while the memory system is out, and I activated the OpenGL support in Photoshop. So far so good!

However, I got an error message saying the SounMax (audio drivers) should be reinstalled, and there is no sound other than the default system beep.

I tried to reinstall the software SoundMax from various sources, including the recovery partition, but I always get the message "that the audio driver files do support not your hardware.

The search in Windows XP Device Manager and selecting sound, video and game controllers, audio only I see are several pilots 'NVIDIA High Definition Audio. There is no yellow asterisk.

I spent several hours online agent HP cat, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I even have the officer to take control of the machine for a while, but still have no sound! I also updated the BIOS OF THE v 1.28 system.

The obvious answer seems to be that I do not have the correct sound card drivers, but nobody knows what they should be. I don't even know if I have a sound card, not more, or if the NVIDIA card has taken up somehow the system sound card?

Anyone know if there is a problem using the HP FX380 map in the DC 7800 SFF, or am I missing something somewhere?

Would it not possible/useful to adapt to a sound card in the PCI vacnt slot? If so, any reccomendations?

    Any advice welcome.

    Hello:

I can say that your new video card has an HDMI output port because of the new nVidia HD audio, which now takes the place of your integrated audio system. This is why you have no sound (unless you hold on to a TV or something).

In any case, the solution is simple (I hope).  As you know the dc7800 is a professional PC intended for use as a home theater and at the time of its manufacture, that there is no video input with HDMI output are supported in these offices of class business.

I hope that when you installed this new HDMI video card, a new audio BIOS setting appeared in your system configuration in the Advanced menu.

So please go and see if there is an audio setting boarded, that you can change auto to "Enabled". In the affirmative. Press the F10 key there and at the exit of the BIOS, save settings and exit.

That should allow both audio devices to operate independently.  You've got audio when HDMI cable is not plugged into a TV and you have HDMI audio when HDMI cable is connected to a TV.

Please let me know if this is the case.

  • dc5800 video card update

Hi, would like to know if the ATI Radeon 1 GB PCI-E DVI HDMI graphics card HD6450 will be able to run in a dc5800.

    Thank you

    Hello:

Yes, this card will work fine.

Make sure that you first uninstall the current graphics card in the Device Manager, shut down the PC and install the new video card.

Because the new video card has an HDMI processor, it allows to disable the sound system and the integrated video.

To activate the sound system after installing the graphics driver, restart the PC, go into BIOS > advanced > menu Options of the device and change the audio setting on "Enabled".

Save the setting it by hitting the F10 key and again when you go out (save the settings and exit).

After reboot, the integrated audio system will return.

    • After reboot, the computer lights up and the fan works, but the screen is black
    • CTRL key flashes white light: 2 flashes, pause and repeat (BIOS corruption)

Hello, I'm recovering from the corruption of BIOS, hoping that it is not a failed mobo.

I downloaded the latest BIOS update for my system, but I can't this file to install on an external USB key using HP instructions to restore the BIOS.

To 1.11 step, I don't get the "HP system BIOS Update Utility" screen. Instead, I get this:

    My questions:

    1. is there an easy way to get this .exe on a USB? (I tried 3 computers and 3 cards USB, WTH then?)

    2. If not, can I just unzip and create a bootable USB in another program by copy/pasting the BIOS file?

    3. is there anything else I should try before flashing the BIOS?

Thanks in advance for your help. ^^

UPDATE: the "BIOS error" was in fact the video card that failed due to repeated overheating. The repair shop, replace the video card and repaired the overheating problem (I don't ask how), and my computer is like new.

For those who have a similar with their computer, my error "BIOS" problem (as it is coded by flashing lights of my computer) turns out to be a video card has failed.

The repair shop, said that what happens when computers overheat frequently, which mine did. Thus, they have changed the video card and solved the overheating problem, and my computer is in working condition.

  • S HP ProBook 4530 video card problem

Today, I bought my new laptop - HP ProBook 4530 s with i5 and radeon 6490M. Unfortunately, after I installed windows 7 64 bit on it (as it came with SUSE Linux). Now, I can't do my 6490M work. Only the embedded video works. Can you tell me what I need to download drivers? I tried everything on the ati site, but it tells me that this combination of OS and video card has no driver available.

At the same time I noticed that many of the same series probook laptops are sold with windows 7, so it seems illogical that there is no driver available. If this is the case that I must return the laptop - I won't need it if there is no way to use discrete graphics under windows.

    Hello:

You cannot use the drivers from the ATI site for your switchable graphics. They work only for laptops that have only the ATI graphics card and no other additional.

You can install the graphics driver HP laptop with switchable graphics.

  • Video card GeForce GTX645 and two monitors Dell

Just place an order for a Dell XPS PC 8700 with a GeForce GTX645 video card. I'm trying to figure out how I'll be able to connect my two Dell monitors to the video card. My monitors are a Dell 2407WFP-HC 24 '' and a Dell IN2020M 20 ". I'm fairly certain that the 24 "monitor has a DVI - D connector, and I think (but I'm not sure) the 20" monitor also has DVI - D.

It appears by looking at the specs for the GeForce GTX645 there a port DVI - D and DVI - I port. If this is the case, how can I connect two monitors using DVI - D video card?

    -Larry

Yo is not an adapter to hook up 2 monitor DVI - D DVI - I and DVI - D + HDMI + [...] video card.

DVI - I mean it is a compatible port DVI - D AND you could plug an adapter DVI / VGA for use an old monitor (VGA d - Sub 15 pin)
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Visual_Interface

DVI - I simply means that the DVI connector has some extra pins (on the right, under the direction, my mistake) with the data (if necessary)

  • MacBook Pro video card

My MacBook Pro suddenly started flashing and screen freeze/2008. It seems that the video card has renounced life. I can't determine if the NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT card is a separate card, or if it is integrated to the main logic board. Is anyone know for sure? It was a great computer and I'm not ready to give up on this yet. I am ready to replace if it is not the main Board.

    Thank you.

On laptops, they are chips soldered on the motherboard, not a removable card. You can, however, the motherboard replaced if you can find one.

  • Satellite A110: Graphics card is only 64MB after update 1.70 traditional Bios

    Hello!!

I have toshiba satellite A110. I updated my bios to version 1.70, but now my video card is only 64 MB.

What I can do for my back video card 128 MB or where can I find the update of the traditional bios to this bios version. Thank you

    Hello

If only a BIOS version was published on the page when there is only one version!
But there is no difference between the update of the traditional Bios and the BIOS from windows update.

The State of the BIOS is the same.
I mean the traditional Bios and BIOS of windows support the same features and only update procedures are different!

I think that your laptop supports a 945GM Intel 8MB - 128 MB shared memory graphics memory. Am I wrong?
The Intel graphics card automatically assigns to the amount of memory. This means the graphic driver memory sharing controls and the value is not fixed, but it always changes!
