U3014 Vertical lines/artifacts after standby sleep usng DVI - D cable. Work around this problem, use a DP cable.
Hello
I have a rev A01 U3014 that works perfectly until recently. Over the weekend, the display exposed vertical lines colored after recovery mode sleep. I cycled the power on the display and the problem disappeared. I thought it was an isolated incident and did not think much. The problem occurs for a few days. Today, the problem has occurred three times - twice taking the sleep and once when I restart. I'm fairly certain that this is not a problem of cable or the video card the problem when I disconnect the DVI - D cable. I have also updated and restored my video drivers, the problem is back, regardless of the version of the driver. I'll also try hooking up via DisplayPort to see if maybe the DVI port is the origin of the problem. If there is no other troubleshooting ideas I can try, please let me know. I have the screen connected to an EVGA GeForce GTX 770, running at the native resolution. Here is a picture of the problem. Yet once again, this ONLY happens when the sleep. I have not seen the problem spontaneously occurring under normal conditions of use. Here a link to the image.
Just to update this thread - I went the DVI - D cable to a DisplayPort cable to the end of July and did not repeat it problem. Thus, it seems that the problem was caused by a faulty cable.

When I upload a php file. The ftp transfer removes all line breaks and creates a continuous line of unique text. I need to download the code with all the line breaks in the original php file correctly.
I found the problem.
FTP of Dreamweaver CC 2015 program is not compatible with Yosemite 10.10.5 on all ftp servers.
The new version of FileZilla (v 3.14.0) is also not consistent.
Fetch 5.7.5 is fully compatible with Yosemite. With Fetch, I can download the files without any problems successfully.
In their update, Fetch mentioned that the problem is not with all servers.
I host on Unix servers with HostGator AMD Opteron processors running on an OS GNU/Linux 64 - bit.
If you run Yosemite and ftp of Dreamweaver is ruin your line breaks, then use Fetch until Adobe can fix their problem.

OfficeJet Pro 8500 has vertical line from top to bottom after a copy or scanning via adf
Each copy or scan do using the automatic document feeder to my HP Officejet Pro 8500 a shows a vertical line from top to bottom left of each page. I have cleaned the printer at all parts of the feeder, - nothing dirty in fact found. When I copy or scan the glass plate there is no vertical line on paper.
Anyone have the same experience with this printer?
Usually if the scanner works on the dish, but product line in the scans from the ADF, it's because of something on the glass. Have you tried to shine a flashlight down on the surface of the small approximately 1 in. piece of glass on the left side of the bucket? This is the strip of glass used for the ADF.
Like trying to clean the white strip, located on the lid above the glass of the ADF, well clean to make sure there is no debris on the support that can cause this line appears.
* Make sure that the printer is plugged into a direct socket, rather than a surge protector. The 8500 has protection against overvoltages integrated in the device and an another surge in the circuit protector can sometimes cause lines. However, usually this causes lines in both ADF and flatbed scans.
There is also a document provided by HP with the steps to troubleshoot issues when a line is present in the copies/scans. The document can be accessed here.
I hope this helps.

Vertical lines of death, KDL-52W4100
Vertical lines appeared on my screen all of a sudden after 3 years and a half. Panel is shot. $ 2000 TV which did not 4 years! ? Sony stands behind her so that they offered me a LCD renovated for $700, with a guarantee of 90 days because of my problems - what a deal. Go buy a new TV no Sony - all bets on how long it will last only a Sony? My other TVs big screen are both much older and have been much less expensive and are going strong.
The vertical lines of the death just took my KDL - 32 L 5000 out of use. It seems that a SONY TV would last more than 3 years. My older huge flat screen Sony TV is more than 10 years old and continues, my Sony Vaio computer is over 8 years and which still continues. Now I buy another SONY product if I'm not going to do 3 years of use. I don't know if SONY is going to do anything for me yet, it just happened. I had to call a repairman to Sony, he said, it is not worth fixing (more expensive than the TV). Let's see if they will stand behind the product for more than 12 months!

Monitor or a computer might have hardware problems.
Check the video cables at both ends - monitor and the computer.
Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (at both ends, where this is possible)-in fact
Remove and reinstall - no not just tight. Clean the dust bunnies and make sure that the vents are clear.
Make sure you fans work when you put it back together.See Safe Mode to see if the same thing happens - repeatedly press F8 that you start.
If any help try the monitor on another computer and another monitor on this computer to see if you
can determine who has the problem. You may need to communicate with the monitor or support the system Maker (or video if another card manufacturer

"Perhaps," it's a driver issue (which is doubtful). (Use Mode safe if you need.)
This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:
-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.htmlFor drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have. Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AS ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.
Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.
Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Why am I a thin blue vertical line on screen?
Why am I a thin blue vertical line on the screen of my PrecisionM4800
.? Is there problem with Video card?
Hello Karthi.SK44,
Thanks for writing on the Dell Community Forum.
I suggest you to test the display on the external monitor to confirm if the screen is bad on external monitor while the motherboard is faulty.
Then run LCD BIST (built-in self-test) on the system to shut down the system, then press and hold the power button. Then put on the system where, in solid colors will be visible on the system. If the line is visible during the test, then the screen is defective.
If these two tests pass and then make sure that the system ins safe mode with network to eliminate the operating system.
I hope this helps. If there are questions more respond to this message.
Nice day!
Sincere greetings,

I followed the instructions on the screen to download firefox 4.0. After the launch of the dmg image in the window of firefox dmg is the symbol of firefox with a "do not go" symbol on it (for example as a sign of the universal movement for "don't go this way" - red red circle with a diagonal line). "
Copied on ANYWAY - which was stupid - and he says: "Cannot open the application"Firefox"because it is not supported on this system."
I couldn't find documentation saying my OS has not been supported by firefox 4.0.
Is there away around this problem?
Firefox 4 will not work on OS X 10.4, it requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac.
There is an accumulation of third party that runs under OS X 10.4 and Mac PPC, for more details, see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

System:
- Windows XP Home Edition, version 2002, service pack 3
- Compaq Presario desktop computer
- AMD Athlon XP 3000 +, 2.16 GHz
Problem:
- Installed Firefox 4.0, worked well with tabs showing their titles on the right, such as "CNN."
- After the PC is rebooted, all the tabs showed 'connection '.... "all the time for all the sites I've visited. All web content displayed correctly.
- Re-installed Firefox 4.0. All tabs showed their titles just yet.
- After the PC is rebooted, all the titles returned to 'connection '.... "all the time again.
- Repeated re-Setup again, the problem came back after rebooting the PC.
I too have this problem and I guess that's the tabrenamizer add-on. The only solution I've seen is to disable this add-on, but I rely on this add-on. Has anyone found any difficulty in this?

Hi Melissa,
· Since when are you facing this problem?
· Have you checked the issue by connecting a different monitor?
Step 1: It seems to be a hardware issue to me. Check if the cables are well connected.
Step 2: Connect another monitor to the computer and see if the problem persists.

Visual glitch (vertical lines after the first tab) with 33 FF
Since Firefox 33.0, I have this glitch visual - a few random vertical lines that appear somewhere near first tab if only one tab is open. I tried different versions and it began with FF 33.0 and in all versions of 33. Now I test 34.0b7 FF and it seems that is not there. So I hope that its does not pop up when 34 goes stable.

What happens if you disable graphics hardware acceleration? You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).
- Click the menu button
then select Options Preferences on Mac or Linux, or Windows.
- In the window of Firefox Options (or preferences), click on the Advanced tab, and then select general.
- You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
- Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes, and issues of hardware acceleration to resolve common problems of Firefox
- Update your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL
This solve your problems? Please report to us!
Thank you.
