  I can't connect my phone to my PC in debug mode. It seems that the adb interface drivers cannot be installed correctly. Whenever I connect my phone, the following entry appears in the Device Manager:

I also tried two other xperia (older models) phones to connect to my PC, and both were instantly detected. • S890 - ideatool connection problem

  Bought a S890 a few days ago. Have tried to get hook upward with my PC, but nothing helps.

  First of all, it does not connect as USB storage because of driver problem, as the "engines" are in the phone itself. So, I managed to copy the drivers and the ideatool to the SD card and transfer it manually.

  Once the drivers are installed, the usb tap driver still does not install correctly. However, the ADB driver install, and the phone is detected in Windows. BUT ideatool does not seem to 'see' the phone. Moreover, I need to run ideatool as administrator.

  BTW, ideatool version is 1.1.8 and Windows 7 64-bit. Can anyone help on this?

  Ok. I solved the problem. Here's how.

  (1) download a generic driver for Lenovo-here all drivers LenovoMediaTek. It is intended for the purpose of rooting.

  (2) install this driver by extracting the file, and then click Install_Driver.exe or Install_Driver_64.exe (64 bit Windows).

  (3) connect your phone. It should recognize as Android ADB Interface. Press "Connect USB storage device" on your phone. You should be able to access the phone storage and SD storage.

  (4) (optional) now you can install ideatool for the storage of phone if you wish. Don't forget to shortcut ideatool to run as administrator. ideatool does not work under normal user.

  I found that the ideatool is a waste of time. Outlook synchronization works only on the contacts. He got media sync well if you have lots of photos and music.

  I'm developing an application for Acer Iconia Tab A510 using Windows 8 as the development environment.

  I installed Windows 8 from scratch. I get an error when you install the driver, and it appears with a warning signal later.
