  Hello. I have a computer that was running Windows 7 Professional. The software has been installed on the computer and authentic and purchased several years ago. Due to problems, I had to reformat the HARD drive and reload Windows 7 Professional on the same computer using the same product key.

I fixed installed and I was thrilled when the problem has been resolved. When I chose the House and after having set up, I was greeted by the familiar screen with users that I had set up on my PC of 2005. When I clicked the user admin, typed the password, he accepted the password and then a box came up saying I had to activate Windows before I could open a session. By clicking on the number resulted in the user disconnects automatically before the start menu or desktop appeared. Clicking Yes led me to a screen that gives me the choice to choose between online and phone activation. As my entire computer (except for the hard drive) is new, the internet network adapter is also new, and that's why the internet settings (the 2005 model old) which I had not yet changed on the Pro Installation do not allow me to activate via the net. I tried via telephone following all the instructions and punch in the 25 digit code generated by the wizard in the phone and told me that the operator could not generate a code (for me 2 type in the boxes provided and therefore use to activate XP Home). I then shut down the PC, went to the installation of Pro, changed the IP settings according to the instructions given to me by the ISP to the phone and checked the net now works on installation of Pro IE. It worked, and I now turned off, chose the House and tried to activate on the net and there is not yet well make sure that my computer is connected to the net.   You need to reinstall using an XP Home OEM disk - see if one of your friends has one you can borrow. The key on your COA sticker will be valid for this.

  My laptop was purchased 3 years ago in my local tesco with Windows XP preinstalled, I had the key on the bottom code, had to have the laptop reloaded with windows XP installed costs and now I can not activate my Windows key code.

  My computer crashed a few months ago (I've been putting off dealing with this power) and I had to do a complete and smooth reconstruction. Since the reconstruction, I was able to activate Windows 7 Pro correctly. I had another product key and tried to enter through the user interface both through slui 4, without success.

  As he had alreaqdy been activated once or twice, I need to use the phone activation. However, whenever I click Next after selecting my country (I even tried other countries to be sure), I get "an error occurred" Code - 0x80070005 - Description: access is denied.

  Tired to find a solution through various forums without success. Hoping someone smarter than I am can make sense to sub the diagnostic report. Even tried all the stupid things like making sure that the files were not read-only value and everything works as an admin (certainly an Admin account, and there is no other account anyway).

  Hello, changed a new motherboard and can not activate my Windows 7. Both the PID # and Product Key # can't use anymore. Pls help! Thank you!

• UNABLE TO ACTIVATE WINDOWS?

  I get this message in the title line.  Then after I go through 3 different screens, I get a message update to Windows 8.1 free.  Does not work I tried.  Need to mention a few elements, my beautiful fully loaded gateway Windows 7 drivers for laptop computer crashed so a friend of mine gave me the laptop today I use w/the Windows 8.  I went to the library twice a day to use their computers.  I am a SR citizen. and on a fixed income and unable to buy a new computer or difficulty of my gateway.  It is a Dell Latitude D610 and very basic.  My friend bought on e - bay.  Any suggestions?  Thank you.

  I bought a laptop eligible for the upgrade to Windows 7. I had received the upgrade DVD and has been upgraded successfully. But after a year now because of the corruption of some files I had to reinstall Windows 7, after which it is said that the key is not valid. I tried a clean install. even tried using the Vista recovery disk and upgrade so that the previous method. but still no luck. Can someone advice how this problem can be solved.

  When you install Vista using the original Toshiba recovery disc you will be activated Vista with valid license key. Will upgrade just to upgrade Vista preinstalled, and it must not be enabled.

  After the fresh install of Win7, activate preloaded but button down will not work because this key belongs to Vista original you got with your laptop.

  Is it possible that this update of last year was a success and this year won't work?
