Unable to activate Windows 7 as a result of the relocation of the Indonesia to the Japan. Activation time is exceeded.
I'm having a problem with the activation of windows 7. The question is on the regional boundary. I bought the original copy of Windows 7 in Indonesia and then I moved to the Japan and living there. 2 months ago I had a problem with my hard drive. In this case, my hard drive needs to be changed in the new. The result is that I have to reinstall my OS. But, having a copy of Windows that has a regional limitation that means it isn't being able to activate windows in the only Southeast Asia region during this time I am now living in Japan for a long time, it seems didn't work. Now my original Windows copy is labeled as a copy of non-original Windows as activation period has already expired. What should I do?

Hello. I have a computer that was running Windows 7 Professional. The software has been installed on the computer and authentic and purchased several years ago. Due to problems, I had to reformat the HARD drive and reload Windows 7 Professional on the same computer using the same product key.
Now it will not activate and comes up with an error 0xC004C020 code which States that "the activation server reported that the Multiple Activation key has exceeded its limit"
I do not understand why this has happened. I bought the copy of Windows 7 Professional on ebay and I have the box, case and the two original disks of Windows 7 Professional, as well as the authentic product key sticker. He was recharged on the same computer that was originally activated copy (same product key)
I have attached the report of diagnosis MGA below. Would like to find a solution for this. Thanking you in advance.

When you mention you bought on eBay that explains it pretty well because there are hundreds of early cases of consumers ripped off on eBay by Volume and TechNet keys sold illegally.
If you don't have any other Windows 7, 8 or 8.1 license to use for the upgrade, what I would do is go ahead a buy Windows 10 and make the Clean 10 Windows Installer that has no complaints and if you stick with the steps in the link results in the best installation of the best OS who's going to stay that way as long as you do.

Unable to activate Windows XP Home Edition after the repair facility.
Of that, I was running a Dell Dimension 5000 bought from the Dell website in 2005. After this computer from run very slowly, I decided on an upgrade. So I removed the hard drive of this computer with XP Home Installation and everything what it intact and plugged the hard drive into a completely new computer (that I bought and customized piece by piece). I also installed Windows XP Pro using the ability of XP to run dualboot. Now the Pro works well, but has of course none of the programs of the host OS installed as even if Pro and Home are installed on the same drive C, Pro of course did not the registry of home settings. That's fine, but when I chose the House to the splash screen immediately after my computer upward once again, I have encountered an error saying that Windows has shut down the computer to prevent damage etc. by a blue screen of death. So I fixed installed House, by inserting the Home CD in the CD drive (which is also new and I bought, not even the one from my old computer to 2005), choice of APPETIZER and not the repair console and then clicking R to repair the detected existing OS. I fixed installed and I was thrilled when the problem has been resolved. When I chose the House and after having set up, I was greeted by the familiar screen with users that I had set up on my PC of 2005. When I clicked the user admin, typed the password, he accepted the password and then a box came up saying I had to activate Windows before I could open a session. By clicking on the number resulted in the user disconnects automatically before the start menu or desktop appeared. Clicking Yes led me to a screen that gives me the choice to choose between online and phone activation. As my entire computer (except for the hard drive) is new, the internet network adapter is also new, and that's why the internet settings (the 2005 model old) which I had not yet changed on the Pro Installation do not allow me to activate via the net. I tried via telephone following all the instructions and punch in the 25 digit code generated by the wizard in the phone and told me that the operator could not generate a code (for me 2 type in the boxes provided and therefore use to activate XP Home). I then shut down the PC, went to the installation of Pro, changed the IP settings according to the instructions given to me by the ISP to the phone and checked the net now works on installation of Pro IE. It worked, and I now turned off, chose the House and tried to activate on the net and there is not yet well make sure that my computer is connected to the net. I even clicked on the phone option and changed my ID by typing my OEM 25 product key numbers and clicking Refresh. I tried again by phone and still could not activate my installation in a House. The installation CD home I used was the 2 me by my Builder (a purple disk saying OPERATING SYSTEM: ALREADY INSTALLED on YOUR COMPUTER). This CD certainly isn't a forgery because I ordered directly from DELL and not even the 2005 Bill to prove it. Is it because I changed my system components and not my hard drive with it, which is the origin of this problem? How can I fix this without backup everything and remove the installation of the House and then re - install?
"ArjunC" wrote in message News: 3df4138b-2174-4cb1-821e-0527dc60da2c...In fact the Windows XP Pro has been installed by the people who moved the hard drive to the new computer. I never asked for it. But remove XP Pro still wouldn't solve my problem. I need to find a way to use my original of 25 characters product key or get a key of success generated by phone so that I can log on to Windows XP Home Edition and continue to use my PC as how I used my old. Some people have told me that I can convince to install MS by phone that I transferred the disk hard - 2 a new computer and then tried a repair but the problem is that all the numbers given on Activation Wizard phone are automated, giving instructions, asking the ID generated by the wizard and then telling me that they are unable to generate an ID for activation. If there is human here, how do you convince a machine of my innocence :)
You need to reinstall using an XP Home OEM disk - see if one of your friends has one you can borrow. The key on your COA sticker will be valid for this. You can also contact Dell and ask them to provide a set of disks in your machine - for a price.

Hello Corinne,.
Welcome to the Microsoft community.
I will certainly help you with the problem you are experiencing.
I would like to ask you:
- What happens when you try to activate?
- What is the exact error message you get?
You can try activating the phone and check if it helps. To do this, follow the suggestions posted by Andre Da Costa replied on 24 November 2015 and check if that helps.

Unable to activate Windows 7 - access denied
My computer crashed a few months ago (I've been putting off dealing with this power) and I had to do a complete and smooth reconstruction. Since the reconstruction, I was able to activate Windows 7 Pro correctly. I had another product key and tried to enter through the user interface both through slui 4, without success.
As he had alreaqdy been activated once or twice, I need to use the phone activation. However, whenever I click Next after selecting my country (I even tried other countries to be sure), I get "an error occurred" Code - 0x80070005 - Description: access is denied.
Tired to find a solution through various forums without success. Hoping someone smarter than I am can make sense to sub the diagnostic report. Even tried all the stupid things like making sure that the files were not read-only value and everything works as an admin (certainly an Admin account, and there is no other account anyway).
Thanks in advance for the help!

I upgarded windows 7 to windows 8 I bought from microsoft.
but after formatting my pc, I am unable to activate it. It shows error always activate windows. Please help if anyone know the solution.I tried activation by telephone, but he always says "IT MUST BE A MISTAKE TECHNIQUE".Help, please...To install a Windows 8 upgrade version, you must already have Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP installed on your PC.
If you have formatted the drive until the upgrade of Windows 8 version has been installed, you will not be able to use your upgrade product key to activate Windows 8. To activate Windows 8, you will need to install your previous version of Windows, and then reinstall Windows 8. Help with the activation process, contact technical support.

Unable to activate Windows 7 with upgrade CD (Clean Install)
Hi Techies,
I bought a laptop eligible for the upgrade to Windows 7. I had received the upgrade DVD and has been upgraded successfully. But after a year now because of the corruption of some files I had to reinstall Windows 7, after which it is said that the key is not valid. I tried a clean install. even tried using the Vista recovery disk and upgrade so that the previous method. but still no luck. Can someone advice how this problem can be solved.Thank you
Simin
[email protected]>.. even tried using the recovery Vista disc and then move like the previous method. But still no luck.
When you install Vista using the original Toshiba recovery disc you will be activated Vista with valid license key. Will upgrade just to upgrade Vista preinstalled, and it must not be enabled. After the fresh install of Win7, activate preloaded but button down will not work because this key belongs to Vista original you got with your laptop.
Is it possible that this update of last year was a success and this year won't work?
