Unable to add scheduled tasks?

Recently, when I add schedule task under the admin account, it fails and display the error message "Task Scheduler" a task or a folder with this name already exists", but it is false and I can't find anything for this new task under appendix.»

Anyone have any suggestions on what evil is?
Thanks in advance for your suggestions

When I try now to approach, the problem disappeared,

I would like to know on what the problem is with the update of the window.

Do you have any suggestions?

    I need more information about scheduled tasks.

    My backup software does not work. I get error logs.

    I need more examples to make it work.

    This isn't a lot of information to go.

    Here are a few notes unattractive, I have about scheduled tasks that can help you get started.  One day I have to make it more presentable:

    It is strongly suggested that the task entrusted to a user with a password (using the administrator account is not recommended), so create a new user with a password just for tasks or add a password to your account, if necessary.

    You can temporarily assign a password for test and worry about that later. This time just to see if your ST mechanism works correctly.

    If you configure the task to use the same account that you log in, you'll usually be able to see the task to launch and start running while you use the computer.  It is useful to see the task run in front of your eyes.

    If you configure the task to use another account that connect with the task must run again (and you see it), but for the test, use your own login account and then change the account of the task uses later when you're sure that it all works.

    If you try to create a new task by using an account that does not have a password, you will get this error trying to create the task:

    The new task has been created, but may not work because the account information could not be set.

    The specific error is 0x80070005: access is denied.

    Still, the task will be created, but it will not run correctly.

    Is there a way to get around that, but get this working first for if ensure your mechanism of the scheduled task is not afflicted.

    Stop the Task Scheduler service. Click on start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, services and locate the Task Scheduler Service and stop it.

    Remove or rename the scheduled task probably cluttered log file that is usually found here:

    c:\Windows\SchedLgU.txt

    Restart the Task Scheduler service to create a new journal (it's just a text file) and verify that a new log file has been created and that it looks like this:

    "Task Scheduler service".

    Started on 01/01/2010 06:26:43

    [* The most recent entry is above this line *]

    Navigate to the folder c:\windows\tasks to see all your tasks. Expand the Explorer window you can see all the columns interest by dragging the column headers for each column.

    The next columns Run Time, last run time, status and latest results are interesting. You can also click Advanced and view the log file of ST from here.

    Choose to add scheduled task.  Create a new task to run once command prompt now.  If you do not have a PW on your account, you will get an error while trying to create it (more on that later).  The new task will still be created, but it will never run. Assign a password to your account, at least temporarily, to test your mechanism of the scheduled task.

    After you have assigned your login password account temporarily, adjust the new scheduled task, you created to run the command prompt so that it uses the same account and password used to log on to Windows and the task must configure and save without error.

    Right-click the new task command prompt and choose run and a command window should open immediately.  If this isn't the case, something is wrong.  If so, your mechanism is healthy.  Examine the log file to view your results.

    Given that the task of the command prompt is configured to run under your account, that is why you will see the command prompt window open immediately.  If you have configured the task to use a different account (with a password of course), the task of the command prompt would run under this name of users (not your own) and you wouldn't open the command prompt window, but the task would be running and you can see in the Task Manager.  This way you know your ST mechanism works.

    Now that you know how to execute tasks manually, how to observe the columns of information, to know how to remove the log file, you can apply this knowledge to your new task.  Make sure that the Task Scheduler service is running again if you don't stop it to remove the log during the test.

    Assign properties to your new task or annoying that match your login (at least for testing), observe the columns and the newspaper.  If your task fails to run manually, errors in the log file are the clues to find out what to do next.

    Always try to return to the simple task of command prompt that you created to make sure that the ST mechanism working properly - before you know for sure that one works.  Then apply your knowledge to get your new task to work.

    You can edit the task properties to use your login account and password since you know it is working on the task from the command prompt.  If you change your new task and choose to run it and logged in with the same account, you should see your Execute task.  When you are satisfied, it is not working properly, you probably don't want to interrupt you while you are connected, so change it back the properties to use another connection to the user account that has a password that you have created just to run your scheduled tasks.

    Tasks that are created by other applications will use the special account NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM.  This account has no password and is typically used for system-oriented tasks, but you will only be able to see the performance when you use the Task Manager.

    If you try to manually run a ST as you see it open any window to run, but you will see running in Manager tasks and in the log file.  If you want to see actually run, change the properties to use your account and password, solve the task, and then change the properties back and test it again.

    These types of tasks can work very well, but you can tell by the log file, looking in the Task Manager, or columns of status in the folder tasks.  If you temporarily modify the task to use the same account and password you use to log in, you will be able to watch him run.

    Once you understand how to get a simple task like working of command prompt and you know where is the log file and how to edit the task properties, you can work on your new task or afflicted and make it work.

    There are ways around some of the restrictions and requirements, but it is best to only use what you have and use wisely.

    A common problem with scheduled tasks is that there is no password for the account used to create the task or people expect to 'see' the task running when it is not assigned to their connection and when theydon can't see anything and think that the job is not running.  This isn't how it works.  The log file and the Task Manager will tell you what is actually happening.

    If you're used to not having a password on your account because you do not have to enter a when you login or you are the only user on your system and decide to start using some mesh, it is sometimes easier to simply assign a password for your account, or just create a new user account XP with a password and use it for the m.  You can assign a password to your account and still have your system set in place to never ask for a password when you sign in, but you must remember your password - or set up a new account just for your scheduled tasks.

    Do, or do not. There is no test.

    The only things that should be in scheduled tasks are tasks that you have planned or which were automatically to 3 rd-party applications can be installed (this is often used to implement "automatic update" for applications). *

    It is perfectly fine to have no scheduled tasks.

  • Import-Module via a scheduled task results in different $env: modulepath

    Just upgraded to PowerCLI 6.0 R3

    Anyone encountered this?  I was updating my scripts of scheduled to begin importing the module rather that to add the snap-ins, but for some reason when Task Scheduler is running scripts, it basically-error w / unable to find valid module.

    When the position of Scheduler task as service account runs it, $env: modulepath looks like this:

    C:\Windows\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\;D:\Program files (x 86) \Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\PowerShell\Modules\; C:\Dell_PSCmdlets; C:\Program Files (x 86) \AWS Tools\PowerShell\; C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft SDKs\Azure\PowerShell\ServiceManagement

    When I run interactively as service account, I noticed that the module is properly in the modulepath environment variable.

    C:\Users\svcLDAPVMware\Documents\WindowsPowerShell\Modules; C:\Program Files\WindowsPowerShell\Modules; C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\Modules\;D:\Program files (x 86) \Microsoft SQL Server\110\Tools\PowerShell\Modules\; C:\Dell_PScmdlets. I thought about it.  The Task Scheduler service is not actually update the path of the module variable until it is restarted.  If anything like that launched by there only everything that is entered in the modulepath @ start time system.  Installation PowerCLI 6.0R2 aftermath, fills all new sessions, just not all that has been actively running in time.

    I had to reboot the virtual machine to the Task Scheduler picking up the new addition to the modulepath of the system.

    It was specifically related to Windows 2008 R2, do not know if the versions are affected.  In any case, hope this is helpful to anyone who may run into the same situation.

  • Task Scheduler task shows as completed successfully, but nothing happened

    I have some .bat files I created added to my task scheduler on our server at the fire every day from 05:00.  Tasks run a series of SQL commands and a find and replace the application third for updating a MySQL database that we use for a web application.  SQL event on demand are not an option for us.

    When I run the task manually it works fine (I'm an administrator has full permissions), either by double-clicking the .bat file, either by selecting the task in the Task Scheduler task by clicking on 'run '.

    Tasks have been reportedly shot every day for more than a week and all history journals say the operation completed successfully, but when I check the MySQL database, that nothing has actually happened.

    To add to the confusion, what is happening on 2 3 .bat files that I wrote.  One works perfectly, not.

    I have the defined task to "Run if the user is logged in or not", and "Run with the highest privileges" and our server, Windows 2012 R2.

    My apologies if I'm missing something obvious, I am a JavaScript/PHP web developer, who was lifted in the server environment and, although most of this is logical on a base level for me, a lot of nuances are lost.

    Thanks in advance for any help.

  • BITSADMIN and scheduled tasks

    Does anyone have experience making bitsadmin more useless in a scheduled task?  It seems to be limited to the use of the command-line connected except for the / create command.  Otherwise, it fails because the user is not connected (will work even if at the request of task if you logged in and 'run now'), but when you are disconnected, the task runs but bitsadmin gives errors like:
    Cannot add file to job - 0x800704dd
    The requested operation was not because the user is not connected to the network.

  • Scheduled task entry

    In my list of scheduled tasks, there are 25 entries starting with AT0 and ending with AT24. They try to run c:\windows\system32\ BDX65VSD.exe an hour out there every day of the week. When I run it from the command prompt, I get a list of attempts AT execution, but they all have error at the beginning of the line. What is? I can remove them?

    Hello

    For more information about a particular program and its command-line options, try one of the following:

    Step 1: If available, see Help for the program

    At the command prompt, type the following

    (Where program is the name of the task program, it tries to run): program /?

    Take a look on:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/agent_plus_at.mspx?mfr=true

    Step 2: If a scheduled task does not run as you expect, right click on the task and then click Properties. On the Task tab, make sure that the enabled check box is selected. On the tab schedule, check that planning is set correctly.

    If a task program does not correctly, you may need to add options from command line for the path of the program

  • Permission to create/run the scheduled task

    Hello

    I'm running Windows 7 Pro RTM and I try to use my normal user account to create and run a new scheduled task, but whenever I try to save the task, I get an error msg saying "Task Scheduler cannot create the task.» Does not know the user account, the password is incorrect or the user account doesn't have permission to create this task".

    I have no problems running tasks under my admin account, but I don't want to use it for everyday purposes. I'm also sure that this error must be because of permissions problems, so can I know what is the privilege that a user must have to create/run one account task?

    Thank you very much

    Hi hifer,.

    Please use the forum for answers,

    If your account is a standard account, you will not have permission to create a task or schedule task.  Your account must be an administrator account to schedule the task for the system or it must be run as an administrator.

    It have additional permissions, you can add standard user profile to allow the profile to create the task.  But this option is not available in all versions of Windows and rather complicated.  You can try to add these groups to your profile using computer management in administrative tools.  User with power and Backup administrator can provide you with the authorization that you need if the groups are available with your version of Windows 7.

    Hope this helps,

  • SQLcl throws the Exception on start and stop operating within the scheduled task

    I'm on Windows Server 2012 R2 runs a script TakeCommand (jpsoft.com) as a task scheduled using SQLcl - 4.2.0.15.177.0246.

    The script is invoked, when the account (with administrative privileges) who runs the scheduled task is not connected to the machine.

    The scenario is as follows:

    • servers both windows ServerA and ServerB (virtual servers)
    • ServerA has a SAN connected directly (as E drive)
    • ServerB remotely accesses drive E on ServerA and maps in drive E (guest ServerB cmd > net use e: \\ServerA\e)
    • the problem occurs on server b.

    Corr 04/09/2015: the SAN is not the cause of the errors/exceptions - it's just that the user who runs the scheduled task is not logged on and therefore has no APPDATA

    Message geändert durch stueckl - information server added

    Message geändert durch stueckl - information server deleted - it's a general problem

    If we were talking about developer SQL itself rather than SQLcl, then the solution is simple... you can always force your user settings to a folder accessible in arbitrary writing using the ide.user.dir environment variable just add something like this line to the file sqldeveloper.conf to your installation:

    AddVMOption - Dide.user.dir =

    SQLcl, however, is hard-coded dependency on APPDATA in Windows (and user.home on Linux).  May not be feasible in your case, but in some cases simple, APPDATA can be overridden in the script that launches the SQLcl and the NetEntries and xml SQL history files are read from / written to this file.

    For example: value APPDATA = C:\Temp

  • How to run a scheduled task in specific (current) edition

    11.2.0.3

    I use redefinition of the basis for the development of a database. So far, the experiences have been good with it.

    We have three editions: ORA$ BASE = > BETA = > ALPHA

    BETA is the default edition. Development of new packages for this in ALPHA and then copied to the BETA and ORA$ BASE.

    We now want to carry out certain activities of pl/sql running for a long time as a background task.

    However. When we create a job regular db in ALPHA, it will run in the DEFAULT edition (BETA).

    I want to run a scheduled task in the same edition, where it was created from.

    It is a way to run configure a job normal regular db to execute in a specific edition?

    Example/demo

    -- test case run dbms_job as background
    execute dbms_application_info.set_module('UT10_START_SESSION',null);
    execute dbms_application_info.set_client_info(sys_context('userenv','current_edition_name'));

    This test of construction scenario helped me narrow down the problem and find a solution.

    I need to perform the task with a dedicated job class. Job classes can add a service_name. The name of service in turn can be connected to a specific edition.

    first prepare the job classes

    ---Run as DBA
    begin
      dbms_scheduler.create_job_class (
       job_class_name => 'JCED_DEV$ALPHA',
       service        => 'ALPHA'
       );
    end;
    /

    begin
      dbms_scheduler.create_job_class (
       job_class_name => 'JCED_DEV$BETA',
       service        => 'BETA'
       );
    end;
    /

    begin
      dbms_scheduler.create_job_class (
       job_class_name => 'JCED_ORA$BASE',
       service        => 'BASE'
       );
    end;
    /

    grant execute any class to targetuserschema;

    Service names were already in place (you can use dbms_service to create a service based from version 11.2.0 edition.3).

    -- test case run dbms_job as background
    declare
      v_jobname   varchar2(30) := 'TestEditioning_UT10' ;
      v_starttime timestamp := systimestamp;
    begin
      dbms_scheduler.create_job(job_name            => v_jobname,
                                job_type            => 'PLSQL_BLOCK',
                                job_action          => q'[begin
      dbms_application_info.set_module('UT10_BACKGROUND_SESSION',null);
      dbms_application_info.set_client_info(sys_context('userenv','current_edition_name'));

                                enabled             => FALSE,
                                auto_drop           => true);

    Hi all,.

    I would kindly ask your help with a script that needs to run as a scheduled task. It is functional, but does not correct and little need for love at the end...

    I want to create a script that

    • find a virtual machine with a pattern on its behalf (realized and works)
    • delete a virtual machine with a reason given in his name (completed works)
    • create a clone of a virtual machine (completed works)
    • move that created clone (upstairs) and move it to a folder named (open)
      or the fact in the clone process

    I realized thus far:

    The script itself runs so far and does what it should, but the scheduled task is always "in process of execution". Now, I created a work around in this way, I have finished the task after two hours of running; but there must be a better solution that works properly.
    As well as the part with the rise of the virtual machine.

    Could you maybe help me or have a good idea how to solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Try again with

    PowerShell-no interactive - noprofile - executionpolicy override - file C:\scripts\scriptname.ps1

  • Flash Player a scheduled task is not created

    If I do a new installation of flash player, the installation is completed without error, but no scheduled task is created.

    If I can change the Flash Player to warn and then again to Adobe Settings Manager allows to install updates (I understand need to re - create the scheduled task) I get the following error in the FlashInstall.log

    = X = M/19.0.0.226-2015-10-20 + 08-21 - 39.304 =.

    2015-10-20 + 8-32 - 11.809 1226 1062 [error]

    2015-10-20 + 8-32 - 23.611 [error] 1292 0

    no idea what mean these errors?

    I can manually create a scheduled task, but don't know why Flash Installer is unable to create the task.

    It's on Windows 7 64 bit and have the full privileges on the PC.

    Thank you

    Steve

    After further investigation, it seems the permissions on the files in c:\windows\tasks was wrong, and although I had permissions, for some reason the installer never.  I now resolved this problem by correcting the permissions.

    Thank you

  • Running Powershell script with ESXCLI commands via a scheduled task in Windows 2012 does not work.

    I'm trying to run a powershell script of a scheduled task in Windows 2012. The script calls the commands ESXCLI and ends with success (exporting to a CSV file) but the file has no data inside.  If I run the script manually without the scheduled task file has all the I expect to exit.

    I wonder if there is a framework with Powershell or a PSSnapin I need to add to the script for it to run via a scheduled task.  Has anyone done this before with the ESXCLI commands?

    panhvr - you may to something.  The process account that I use to run this script has only read-only access in vCenter.  I logged on the server I am running these reports with the process ID and tried to run the script.  He gave me errors indicating permission to perform the operations of esxcli was denied.

    I think we found the culprit!  I'll have this process ID in vCenter rights upward.

    Thank you all!
