  Thanks for posting on the Microsoft answers Forum.

  Configure your task under your administrator account.
  Then go to the folder with the batch file and ADD on control for the folder administrator permissions and each of the files in batches.
  If the batch files write data, then the target for the task should ALSO have all explicit permissions.
  Now try to run the Task Scheduler task.

• A scheduled task shows she completed successfully, but it really didn't. How can I fix?

  The task runs a script file SQL for the database on drive E:\ which is an external drive for backup.

  When E:\ is not present, of course, the task is not ended, but the Scheduler of tasks that are still actions successfully completed.

  I'm assuming that the Task Scheduler is just by saying "I've been able to run the script with the specified program file, then it has succeeded," but this is really not what I'm after. I need to know if the tasks in the script that is running the Scheduler of tasks actually performed.

  Is there something I can do to report if the task succeeded or not, so that the Task Scheduler shows correctly?

  I know that this is possible if you use a batch file that uses the exit codes (I'm sure that other types of scripts have end codes, but I'm not familiar with most of the other types of scripts).

  To open it in a browser, I tried to create one job in the dbms_scheduler:

  Orders should open a browser with the given URL. If it works fine, an E-mail is sent to a specific address.

  The URL opens the BirtMailer, a tool to send reports as attachments.

  If I run the command on the shell, everything works fine and the e-mail message is sent. But with the Scheduler, nothing happens.

  Any suggestion or advice will be appreciated.

  Unknown system can take a while so be patient.  How do you know that nothing happens - he often paused during execution of the tasks and may display a complete task bar but still not be done with the task (what I find irritating, but it happens).  How long it lasts?  Why did you restore the system in the first place?

  Stop the system when restoring a restore can cause all kinds of problems - so it is best to not do so that there is no other choice (until it is an undeniable fact that it is at a standstill).  BTW, while the restoration of the system is running, you can not do something else - it essentially resumes the computer until it's over.

  Let's give it more time.  If it comes to that, you can always finish by pushing and by holding down the power button until the machine stops (a hard stop).  Then try to restart and hope that it works and that you won't encounter any problems.  If so, post back here describing problems (including the word EXACT text of any message) and we will see what to do next.  If everything goes well, there will be no problem, but I suspect it might.

• Windows Media Player says it is retrieve information about the media and update of files but nothing happens

  I can't access my photos, videos, documents, etc. because I can't in my files anyway I have try. If I click on the icon in my taskbar Windows Explorer, it highlights as if it will open, but this just highlight fades and nothing happens as if I has not yet clicked (no error notice or anything).

  When this happened enough times, I tried entering my Start menu and search bar "search programs and files". He showed me the results of research (such as the names of files in the start menu), so I know everything is still, but nothing happens when I click on them.

  However, I can still download files online when a site gives me the ability to click a button in the Web site to do.

  All this happens on and outside, and I don't know what are the is or what causes that actually get better at random.

  Also: Something that occurs when Windows Explorer is working is that any attempt to open My Documents is blocking my computer. I can no longer access my documents unless I can search in the start menu (which, even once, does not always). I resorted to store my documents online because of this.

  If anyone can help me to solve these problems, I would be very happy! I need my cell phone all the time while I'm in College, and while I'm at home.

• Recently restructured PC. Tried to import bookmarks HTML, but nothing happens. Tried other browsers, still does not work. How can I fix?

  Before reformat my PC, I exported all my favorites via the HTML file. I reformatted, installed Firefox, then attempted to import all my favorites. I go to the import function and choose the bookmarks HTML file and nothing happens at all. I tried to use other browsers for import, but nothing happens. I don't know how to solve this problem.

  I thought that maybe I could transfer the HTML file in a JSON file, but I couldn't find a way to do it, even after it is renamed file extensions. The HTML file may possibly be corrupt? I'm running out of ideas on how to do to import my favorites!

  I managed to fix it.

  (1) I opened the HTML file with notepad.
  (2) I then went to file > save as >

    -Then changed the file type to, "All Types"
  

  (3) then in file name I named it Bookmarks.JSON

    -The HTML file now saved as a JSON backup and I was able to import it.
  

  However,.

  There is still no patch or reason to explain why the backup HTML does not. I strongly suggest you Firefox fix, as it was highly agitation.
