  With Windows XP, Windows Movie Maker 2.1 should be automatically downloaded with SP2.   I have Windows XP and use Movie Maker for a few years. Today, I had to do a destructive system recovery. The recovery got Windows XP (SP 1).  After that recovery was complete I downloaded and installed all Windows updates essential, including the SP 2 and 3, but I still don't have Windows Movie Maker 2.1. I went to Windows updates several times and tried to find Movie Maker without success. The date of search engine update takes me to the elbow that lead me to updates of Windows where I can not find the Movie Maker download.

  3 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

  . WLMP files aren't really movies, this is why you cannot view it with something else. A .wlmp is a film project file, it is essentially the "recipe" to create the final product.

  I would also like to inform you that Facebook accept only certain types of file formats.

  You just need a step more in Movie Maker, you must publish the movie, which will create the AVI or WMV file or whatever the format you choose. Then, you can download the files. Try it and tell us if it helps.

So neither my old portable DVD player or most recent DVD drive attached to the TV will play one of them.  I know the movies is on their as when I stick to the computer, Windows Media Player plays automatically. Even with the DVD-R. So, this is the DVD drive laptop who can not read or what I am doing wrong?
