Unable to print through 'Adobe PDF' from a 'Secure' PDF

Hi guys,.

First, let's define the password for the PDF file with the setting below:

AdobeProXI_1.jpg

Then, the documents will go to the junior to proceed, when they try to print documents through Adobe PDF for some pages, impossible to do with the error below:

AdobeProXI_2.jpgAdobeProXI_3.jpg

Possible advice any solution for this?

(1) confirming the previous answer than if you print to Adobe PDF, PostScript printer driver instance, in fact it will fail. It is built-in to Acrobat Distiller functionality to prevent the free removal of security on a PDF file.

(2) there are very good reasons for securing financial documents. In simple terms, a nonsecure reception or a financial document can be too easily changed for criminal purposes. For example, a non-profit, I worked with that was scammed on a bit of funds by a staff member who changed bills of credit card incoming mask of embezzling funds in PDF format. This protection has its drawbacks, but at least you don't need to worry about the integrity of the content.

  • How to get around the problem of printing from the printer driver Adobe PDF for Notepad instead of a PDF Document?

How to get around the problem of printing from the printer driver Adobe PDF for Notepad instead of a PDF Document? I tried the tool 'Repair Acrobat Installation' and other problems listed on the forums, but nothing worked. In the Notepad document is the following ' % [ProductName: distill] % X937B6DD4 not found, using the mail service.» X07BB154E not found, by using the messaging service. % [Page: 1] %% % [Page: 2] % % [Page: 3] % % [Page: 4] % % [Page: 5] % X4EEBB81F not found, by using the messaging service. %% [Error: invalidfont;] OffendingCommand: show; ErrorInfo: CharOffsets ss %% [Flushing: rest of work (end of file) will be ignored] %% %% [warning: PostScript error.] No PDF file produced. ] %%."

The log file indicates that the Distiller cannot find fonts and besides, fonts with very weird names. (These names can often appear when printing from an application, WPF such as Internet Explorer 9, 10 or 11.)

My best guess is that the problem is with the options set for the PostScript of PDF from Adobe printer driver instance. Exit the application you were initially impression since. Open the Adobe PDF printer Properties . Then click the Advanced tab. Then click on the button default printing . This should produce a significant window default print Adobe PDF is already opened in the Adobe PDF settings tab. On this tab, there is a checkbox to rely on system only fonts; do not use fonts in the document. If this box is checked, uncheck it and press apply , then OK. Then go to the general tab and press the button Preferences giving the window entitled Adobe PDF printing preferences. Again once, look for the box to rely on system only fonts; do not use document fonts. If this box is checked, uncheck it and press apply , then OK. Then back in the Adobe PDF Properties dialog box main, press apply (if it is enabled), and then click OK. Re-enter the app you were original print and try to print again. Let us know if that fixes the problem.

PS: Unfortunately, rely on fonts system only turned on by default, causing problems for many applications. I always recommend turning it off (i.e., unchecking it)!

  • I'm unable to print web Adobe Acrobat pages since I have upgraded to Windows 10. Is deployed a fix?

I'm unable to print web Adobe Acrobat pages since I have upgraded to Windows 10. Is deployed a fix?

I conclude that it is specifically "Microsoft Edge" which is causing the problem.  I was able to print a Web page in Adobe Acrobat "Firefox" without problem.  So, I just never will avoid using "Microsoft Edge."

    Thank you for your attention.

  • Browser Microsoft Edge of Windows 10 will not be printed in Adobe PDF format

I have Acrobat Pro XI full license (no subscription). I use print to Adobe PDF with Internet Explorer to save and check in the files of web page with no problems. Upgrade to Windows 10 and it's new edge browser. Print to Adobe PDF crashes during the process of creating Adobe PDF. Every time.

Print to Adobe PDF still works with Internet Explorer and other applications like always. Edge will not print to the Adobe PDF format.

    Hi Ksquid,

Microsoft Edge browser does not support the Acrobat PDF plugin.

Please refer to this Blog Acrobat DC, now on Windows 10 | Adobe Document Cloud.

I reinstalled adobe CS6. my other macs, I had a printer named 'Adobe PDF', that I could choose that as my printer and a dialogue box came up, I named the file and the location.  I can't figure out how to get this done on my new mac.  Help

There are two ways to create a PDF on a Mac:

    (1) you can use the default method, which is to choose file > print. Click on the PDF menu below on the left, then click on save as PDF. This lets you name and save the PDF file using the mechanism of OS X to create PDF files.

    (2) in the same menu, you can save in Adobe PDF format. It runs a script (a little slow) that lets choose you what PDF settings file you want to use. This is the Adobe-developed mechanism that replaces the old Virtual PDF printer.

  • Problem printer virtual 'Adobe PDF' with characters PDF of Mozilla

I'm on a laptop HP with Win7x64 Pro with all the latest updates. I have this page http://www.neowin.net/news/adobe-flash-player-1700169 and I am posting on 3 browsers - Chrome, Mozilla and Pale Moon. Pale Moon is sort of built on basis of Mozilla and is essentially a stripped down version of Mozilla.

Now in the case of "Mozilla" and "Pale Moon", I try to print a PDF of the above page, by pressing Ctrl + P and obtaining the standard print dialogue. I then choose "Adobe PDF" and normally I would get a normal PDF - search web page. At least that's what happened during the last 5 years of my use of Adobe Acrobat Pro and PDF Creator called 'Adobe PDF' (I think he called a virtual printer). Unfortunately when I print a PDF of the page above "Mozilla" and "Pale Moon", I get the PDF to the following research:

With Chrome, however, when I "Print" or "Save as", a pdf version of the same page, the PDF file is OK... no problem with the text. The PDF file seems normal... the characters are in English, because they are supposed to be, only not crazy - looking as in the picture above.

In addition, in Mozilla and Pale Moon, when I try to print the same page, instead of using "Adobe PDF" I choose "Microsoft XPS Writer" *.xps outputs properly document and the text is in English it is supposed to be, which led me to think that the problem is with virtual printer Acrobat.

I had the same problem on Mozilla and Pale Moon with other sites, too. Just do not remember now who it was, but basically, it's the same thing as the screenshot above.

Also go into the language and region settings > Administration > parameters system change in order to change the language used for non-Unicode programs. He was initially attached to the English and tried other languages and then back to English, but so far without success. Maybe I should choose a specific language? He left on the English, but the problem is still there... PLS help

What I see are 2 possibilities:

    1. you have to "rely on system fonts. "selected. Uncheck the box which.

    2. (probably 1) fonts will not be embedded if is not licensed for embedding. Maybe it's a problem from a browser.

Printing configuration file should not be a problem. That attempts to embed all fonts. You can uncheck remove logs too and see what is in the newspaper after the creation of the file. The log file can give clues on police issues.

  • Windows xp user adobereader 9. How to print using Adobe PDF as the default printer?

I am currently under win xp and 9.5.2 adobe reader. I'm unable to print on a website to doc because I'm suppost to use adobe pdf as printer by default, how can I do this?

    Hi Willies,

Adobe Reader is a reader of PDF that can open and interact with all types of PDF content, including forms and multimedia. You can use Adobe Reader to print PDFS via the physical printer. You must install Adobe Acrobat in order to get the printer Adobe PDF installed on your computer.

If you need more information on Adobe Acrobat, please follow the link below:

  • Fusion 3 - printing to Adobe PDF 8.0 error (Distiller) on host Mac

Windows 7 VM on MacBook Pro4, 1, 4 GB of RAM, Mac OS X 10.6.1.

Attempts to print from Windows on Acrobat 8 (Distiller) as a network printer on the Mac failed with the error message (in the queue), "error: / usr/libexec/cups/filter/thnucups failed." However, printing to a physical printer (lj1220) connected via the time capsule works.

    Can anyone offer a solution?

I tried printing from other applications (such as TextEdit) to the Adobe PDF printer, and it does not work either. It works in some way for you?

Apparently, Adobe no longer supports the stand-alone PDF printer on 10.6, please see the following TechNote:

Acrobat 9 "Save as Adobe PDF" supported in Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6)

The "security devices" they mention are probably the same ones that require workarounds to get CUPS-PDF for work.

Unfortunately, as the feature "Save as Adobe PDF" update is not a separate printer, it won't be visible to ThinPrint, and it is not possible to print to this virtual machines (just as it is not possible to share and print on a network).

  • I can't print an Adobe PDF file in the browser. Ignores the print command.

Nothing happens when you try to print the PDF to the browser. Printing box is not pop up and does the printer queue.

Which version of Adobe Reader you have installed?

Recent versions (I think it is version 9.0 or later) of Adobe Reader have a toolbar that appears at the top of the content area in Firefox. If this toolbar does not appear, press F8 and see if it appears. There is a button print on the left side of the toolbar to print the PDF file that is displayed in the tab of Firefox.

All the Firefox print functions are substituted by Adobe, if Adobe has a PDF document is open in a Firefox tab, you must use the print to Adobe.

  • Print to Adobe PDF format generates the PDF, but also generates an error entry in the print queue

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition and Adobe Acrobar 8.
Whenever I print a document in PDF format, the PDF document is generated correctly.
Unfortunately, it also generates an error entry in the Adobe PDF print queue. At each system restart Windows Live One Care detects errors and ask me to fix.

    Hello Pino Sannicolo,

Try to check your print to the printer settings. Right-click on the printer, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab and then click on "print directly to printer". Dave D

Oh yes, I forgot to fix the script.

    Replace "" with "event.target."

    var pp = event.target.getPrintParams();
    pp.interactive = pp.constants.interactionLevel.automatic;
    pp.printerName = "Adobe PDF";
    event.target.print(pp);

  • Acrobat 8.1.4 will not be printed.  Adobe PDF 8.0 printer leaves no file

    Mac OS X 10.5.6

    Acrobat 8.1.4

MacbookPro 2.6 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB RAM

Has just completed a new installation of operating system and CS3 Web Premium.  The Adobe printer worked for a little bit then just stopped.  It seems to go through the right process, but when you go out to the Finder and look in the folder it was supposed to be print then you see there any file it is.

I tried to print directly from Acrobat on my HP2100M laser printer but the queue, said he sends it to the printer, then a short time later, said it is done, but nothing comes of the printer.  If I open the same pdf in preview, then it prints on the printer without problem.

Even if I got this software for 10 months, Adobe said that they no longer offer free assistance for their product works not unless I have buy their new product.  This means they have a lot of motivation to get out of new products in order to stop supporting the old man take?  No free support during the first year?  Scary.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Try the following:

Go to Printer Utility and remove all PDF printer (not your regular printers).

    Leave the printer utility.

Now open Acrobat, and see Help and choose to repair or replace

Choose to install the PDF printer.

This should add a new copy of the PDF Print driver.

    Try now.

Report if that does not help someone else maybe add a bit more.

  • How can I PERMANENTLY change the default printer to Adobe PDF files using my physical printer instead of SIMPLY printing a pdf in a new PDF file?

Whenever I restart Adobe Reader DC default printer is automatically reset to print any PDF file to the "print to PDF file" as the default printer.  How can I change the "default printer" always default to be my physical default printer, instead of "print of PDF?»»»

PRINTING a document which is already a pdf file to a pdf file is absolutely ridiculous and stupid for the following reasons:

    1. If you want to save a document that is already a pdf in different PDF file, you can use the function "Save as" in the file menu.
    2. If the user select "Print" to PRINT a file they ther NOT try to SAVE a file.  (We'll give credit to the average user to understand the difference between PRINTING and SAVING of a document).
    3. Most of the users do not need to duplicate the storage of a document on their drives to computer
    4. Users of mobile devices, by the fact that they have already downloaded the PDF file have already used storage space of EXTREMELY valuable and LIMITED memory with the download of origin and most certainly so NOT to use more than this space such a resource limited printing!

As an engineer, hardware and software for the past 40 + years to really understand the value of making easy allow the end user to change the configuration of something as simple as the setting for the default printing device to use!

For the record, I searched the online help as well as the forum Adobe Reader community for a thread that explains how to change the printer by default so that whenever I starts the Adobe service it will automatically use the printer default physical connected to my computer to "PRINT" any PDF document.  If I missed something that deals with this problem please point me about it, if no such band rolling exists, then please tell me before making this change.

Thank you for your help in this matter!

    Sincerely,

    Larry A. Coates

    Hi larryc57256426,
