  These things indicate (to me), you have done a good thing and studied the help files for how to use the function, although you may have considered in the section of AS2.  In addition, get rid of them.  They are specific to some example were the help files.  The bit in quotes is an argument that would be sent to the function, which receives it as arg1.  I can only imagine that one of the mistakes was to not to declare the type of argument, that requires AS3, but like I said, just get rid of them altogether.  For AS3, things are slightly different, the return value is a uint

  Hi Tim,

  This problem occurs when the auto tone has been applied to your images.

  For existing photos, select all your images in the grid view, and then click the Reset All button in the quick develop Panel. Then, click the auto tone button to correctly apply this feature.

  To avoid this problem in the future, choose Lightroom > preferences > Presets (Mac OS) or edit > Preferences > Presets (Windows). Select again to apply auto tone adjustments.

• Satellite M70 runs for several seconds and then hangs

  I have a Satellite M70. My problem started several weeks ago with the laptop freezing. Then it blue screened a couple of times. Now when I start it, it runs for a few seconds and then hangs.

  I can't do anything because the screen is blank but the LED still show as if it was on. If I leave the phone for a day or two, and then I can start it again and the same thing happens, but if I try to start immeadiately, the screen remains blank.

  Any help would be appreciated, I had company look and they said that the LCD screen was tired, but it is not if it lights.
  Also, I tried to plug in an external monitor and it's the same thing. PLS help

  Here in the forum we can only speculate what may be the problem. I don't think anyone can say for sure why this happens. I got BSOD a few times but always after installing some shareware applications. In my case it was clearly software related issue.

  It is not easy to say why this is happening to you. You can enter the BIOS settings? Try to start your computer laptop in safe mode, just to see if it works.

• Wait queue element and then rinse queue

  I then process in a separate loop and work with a producer consumer design to read data from a data acquisition (number crunch, update locations, write to produce results).  The rate of data acquisition can be very variable, so there are some cases where the producer fills the queue more quickly that the consumer can handle it (one at a time).  So I changed the loop of consumer to use RAS queue instead of dequeue and batch process all recent items.  This works well and allows a much faster operation.  The downside, I've noticed, is that, when the producer loop runs much more slowly than the loop of consumer, hunting generates the queue runs without data to pass.

  What I am wondering if there is nothing to wait for the elements of the queue (as done dequeue) and then clear the queue, without using too broad.  I guess I could use the status of the queue in a loop and then emptying the queue, but I'm guessing that this would lead to a significant overhead when I turn at higher speeds.

  The only alternative I can think of is to put the write file a third loop with another queue because it's probably slowing down the main consumer loop and then put the loop main consumer towards the transformation of one item at a time.  But it seems that there should be an easier way to do it.

  Any thoughts, suggestions or generally better ways to handle this?

  Use Preview queue and do not wire out of the element. It has a timeout, as element Dequeue. Put empty the queue directly after this one. Or, use Dequeue followed by emptying the queue and add the output from the Dequeue item on the output table to empty the queue.

• Call the function in LabView from a DLL, and then access the global variable of DLL

  I've created a DLL in LabWindows with a function and structure.  I want to call the function from LabView and then access the overall structure.  I am able to call the function in the DLL with a "call library function node" and has access to the return value, but I can't understand how to access the overall structure.  The structure is declared in the header DLL with __declspec (dllimport) struct parameters file.

  Is it possible to access this structure without using the library of network variables?

  My guess is that you need two bytes of padding after "in_out" and another to two bytes of padding after "anin."  The reason being that ints are 4 bytes, and most of them C compilers will align on 4-byte boundaries.  The struct will naturally start to such a limit (in fact, in Windows, it will probably start to an 8 byte boundary).  If you then count bytes in your structure, you are 70 byte after "in_out."  70 is not divisible by 4, so you need 2 bytes more to reach the next 4 byte boundary.  You can also you could reorganize your struct so that "anin" follows "in_out" and this is probably the best option if it won't cause you other problems.

  Unlike most C compilers, LabVIEW compressed structures as closely as possible, without filling.  I don't know enough about the history of LabVIEW and internal parts to explain the reasons and to do this performance penalty, but, as choice of LabVIEW "endianness", it is probably a remnant of the first versions of LabVIEW that were running on the Mac.

  If for some reason you want to force your C struct to match package LabVIEW, you can use the #pragma pack (x) directive, but I wouldn't recommend that here because you can control the C and LabVIEW.

  EDIT: in the cases where it was not clear, add padding to your cluster of LabVIEW, insert appropriate size or items at the place desired in the cluster.
