Under XP, I could put pictures in a folder where I want them, and they remained there.

Now, I went to Win 7 they insist to keep in order digital alpha. How can I change this please?

If both of us are using two cameras each I want the photos chronologically at least, preferably where I put them.

Jerry.

You can't just drag them anywhere, but you can sort them by the date that they were taken with the camera absolutely.

Right click on an empty spot, choose "sort by" and choose "Date."
