  All your windows updates are installed?  Try to clean the Windows thumbnail species.  I think use Adobe the OS dialog for features like open file. Also, to get thumbnails for RAW file PSD files, you will need to install codecs in windows. I use the fastepictureviewer codec package. What version of Windows are you using the dialog box look like a windows problem.

  • Try to re-create preferences - restore preferences quickly by using a keyboard shortcut: press and hold Alt + Ctrl + Shift (Windows) or Option + command + shift (Mac OS) when you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. New preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop

  lock file is located in the exact location as well as your catalog.

  Search under Pictures\Lightroom\ Catalog.lock of Lightroom and delete (do not remove the .lrcat files because it's your main catalog)

  At least it's the only thing I can think of what is happening. After update InDesign CC 2014 I only worked on a single file. The file is located on the documents of my supervisor, so I go from there. Lately when I try to open the locking file file appears before the file is actually opened, and then InDesign tells me that the file is in use.   It looks like an orphaned AutoRecover file. Next time it opens, right-click on the document tab, and choose reveal in Finder. Close Photoshop, trash the file then restart Photoshop to find that the pest is gone.

  If you update your photoshop cs6 to the camera raw 7.1 plugin, which should open files camera raw Nikon D800 in photoshop cs6.
