  Hi all

  Our daughter gave her C4480 printer but lost the installation CD.  Since I got a slow internet connection at this time I downloaded the base of HP drivers ("Driver HP Photosmart base"), installed and used the printer without a single problem.

  Later we we "upgraded" to a connection much faster and downloaded the full version of the drivers + SW Suite (HP Photosmart full feature software and drivers"), in the meantime, I had to perform a restore of the system (WIN XP SP2) due to a failure.  When I tried to install the full version, I got a message saying there is a more recent SW installed, so the installation won´t continue.

  Then I tried to uninstall the driver from the control panel and didn t (removed the USB cable, etc, etc) without success, no way to uninstall it.

  The pane where the uninstall program must show the product to uninstall is empty!.

  Is it possible to force the removal of all the SW?

  Well...  I finally got uninstalled, Revo Uninstaller didn t work unfortunately.    However, I managed to find HP uninstall programs (levels 1 to 4) and perform all four in the order did the job.

  BUT now I have another problem that makes all efforts quite useless (I'll post it as a new thread): I can't scan from the solution Center!

  Once more I referred to the HP Support page and obediently downloaded a run the utility of diagnostic scanner (HPSDU), he spent 5 steps (up to center solution) OK but in TWAIN test step, it opens and shuts a couple of windows and gets stuck on (blue arrow blinks always, at least 15 minutes the last time ", that I run it!)
