Uninstalled HID touch screen?
Hey guys, hoping to find some help here. So I just got this new Dell Inspiron 7537. I got it within a week. Saturday, something happened which caused the touchscreen to be insensitive.
Now, let me clarify to unresponsive - I want to say completely gone. Pilot HID and entry in Device Manager is missing. No calibration option. Under the pen and touch, the system is listed as "no net or touch is available for this view."
I did a rear roll-I created a restore point the day of the platform stood, so I can go back to the first day, but was hoping I could just re - download the driver. I can't find it on the Dell support page, and Slim driver cannot detect the hardware, so it does not suggest a pilot.
Any ideas? As I said, fixed sense as run calibrate and disable USB power management does not work, and the material is not yet ID'ed in the Device Manager.

probably, during the win10 update the system decided to disable this feature, so no accidental contact on the screen could interrupt the upgrade process...If anyone is aware of this problem and how to fix it... I would be really grateful.

touch screen has stopped working Samsung ativ 500 t, perhaps after upgrade to pro
I have Samsung ativ pc 500 t. IT has been bundled with Windows 8 and worked perfectly. Last Thursday I have upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and a few hours later, on Friday he lost touch ability partially. Can I use the stylus (pen s), but I can't use the fingers. I have attached the device info on trh device I think should be linked to the touch screen with your fingers.

Have you updated the drivers for the touch screen?
Follow these methods and check if that helps.
Method 1:
Run the Dell touch PC diagnostics using the link below.Click on hardware, select touch screen and click Start Diagnostics.
Method 2:
If this does not help, please reinstall the drivers for touchscreen.
a. move the pointer of the mouse to the upper right and click Search.b. now, type device in the search box, select settings and press ENTER.
c. on the left side, that Device Manager opens, click on, and then open it.
d. in the Device Manager screen, double-click Human Interface Device (HID) and select the drivers of the touchscreen.
e. now right-click on it and select uninstall.
f. now reboot the PC and check if the touch screen works.

Anyone else have problems with their touch screen? Sometimes mine gets entered with an offset or needs more pressure for not working do not at all and have force the reboot.
Is this a driver problem?

Touchscreen delay can be caused by processes that run in the background...
I recommend you to uninstall some applications and malicious programs (if you have installed some)

Satellite S50t-B touch screen no longer works

My partner bought a S50t-B Satellite probably 5-6 months and everything worked perfectly, until she had a few updates to windows that has happened, and now the touch HID compatible drivers are apparently disabled in Device Manager?
The touch screen no longer works, and I've pretty much exhausted all the options I could think.
I tried to reinstall windows, apply all updates via the service center, I can't find the drivers for the touch screen on the support Web site downloads section and the bios etc is all to date.
I was hoping someone could shed some light on how to proceed with this issue, since the main reason, she bought there the touch screen function.

I don't have any idea what system you have installed, but if the laptop was equipped with touch screen, additional drivers for touchscreen are not necessary.
If touch screen is working properly, the Windows (Win 8.1) should detect it automatically.What Satellite S50t-B-ooo do you excatly?
From my point of few, the laptop must be set to settings factory just to check if its really a software related issue... so I wonder why you do not use HARD drive recovery or recovery media to restore the laptop to factory settings? -

don't worry, however, as I have a few steps that should solve your problem:To activate the touch screen driver in Device Manager:
- In Windows, locate and open the Device Manager.
- Expand the Human Interface Devices section.
- The touchscreen device is labeled HID-compliant screen touch, or similar. Right click on the touch screen device.
- If the option to activate the device is included in the menu, click Activate.

HP Envy disable the touch screen

For Windows 8 and 8.1 with a newer laptop, open Device Manager. The same procedure is likely to be quite similar for Windows 7.
Right click on the tactile HID-Compliant device and select properties to call the Properties window.

Satellite C50T - A - 11 d - touch screen does not work
Searched - Microsoft and Toshiba drivers and find NOTHING - in fact in the box drivers from Device Manager - under Hid compatible touchscreen - I disabled and enabled it, tried to download the latest version of the driver - said this is the latest driver - but also said so there is no driver device associated with this device.
Small keyboard will appear next to the system tray, but nothing on the touch screen works somehow
Help please before I send this laptop pretty back!

There is no such thing as a special driver for touchscreen and it's why you can't find this driver on the Toshiba driver page. Contains the Windows system and own internal driver to control the touch screen.
Go to control panel-> Tablet PC settings control
Here you will find some options to calibrate the touch screenIn the view tab, you will find the setup button.
Click the Setup button to launch the Setup where you could point to the touch screen
In the substantive area called display display options you could calibrate the touch.In case this workaround would not be possible or would not work, I recommend you put the laptop back to factory settings using the recovery media or HARD drive recovery option.
But beware: this recovery format the HARD drive and thus data backup would be recommended.

I had this original laptop with windows 10 of manufacturing and I downgrade to windows 8.1pro since I have to run a prgram that works only with windows 8.1.
Now my touch screen does not work and can not find a driver, shows no pen or touch input available. I had also checked the Device Manager and see no HID for the touchscreen.
Can someone please help me with this question.

Should I have a touch screen?
I do not, but in the system on Windows 10 on the new T460S he says "ball point pen two and touch. Yet the touchscreen seems to do nothing, or y at - it a HID driver for touchscreen.

HP Envy X 2 touch screen not responding do not when waking from sleep
About half of the time when I wake up my HP envy X 2 version sleep 128 GB touchscreen is unresponsive. The mouse pad and the keyboard usually work but screen tousch work again until it is restarted.

I had already tried to upgrade the Synaptics drivers and it does not solve the problem.
I noticed several times that when I wake the PC from sleep that Google Talk would be stuck with about 40% of the use of processer according to the Task Manager. I usually just close and re - open Google talk and he would not stuck using the processor.
