• Illustrator CC 2015 (just load) + Frame11 - linked file 'is in an unknown format and cannot be opened.

  I have a frame of the file which worked fine before CC today updated to 2015 of Illustrator.

  I use FrameMaker 11.

  My .doc file includes a linked object (.ai file, created using Illustrator CC 2014).

  My (Windows) file associations have files .ai configurΘ for dΘmarrer with Illustrator CC 2014.

  In Windows Explorer, I copied the .ai file linked to a different name (make a Variant).

  Then in frame, tried to insert the object by browsing to it and then choosing 'link '.

  After a break for awhile, an Adobe Illustrator dialog box appeared:
  "The file 'foobar.ai' is in an unknown format and cannot be opened."

  Clicked OK, then began and the CC2015 file.

  Resaved the file CC2015, tried, same question.

  Tried to insert the * original * file (which is already inserted in another point in the doc), same problem.

  In the framework, if I double-click on the * original * linked object, it starts CC * 2014 * and opens the file.

  Then... nutshell version:

  Since Illustrator CC 2015 loaded this morning, I can't introduce any .ai objects in my FrameMaker docs (including the objects currently inserted elsewhere in the doc). I can even * open * objects that are currently linked in the file (they open with CC2014).

  Is there something I need to do, or do I just uninstall Illustrator 2015 for now?

  You can try changing the file associated with the CC 2015; You can always reset.

  There are some strange things going on, and some have decided to go back to CC, 2014.

  We recently fixed the problem of download of HSV. Now, you will be able to register, download and use. Files ASE of any mode of color without any problem.

  I've posted before, but I really need a solution.

  Out of the blue, Illustrator began to behave badly. I use creative suite 5.5 with Windows 7.

  When I try to create a new file, I get the message "the file 'print.ai' is in an unknown format and cannot be opened." I accept the message and continue. After seeing the message pop up even once, I finally get to a new message "unable to create a new Illustration. The order was cancelled. »

  I can open Illustrator files created previously.

  I'm willing to pay for a solution!

  After some trial and error, I finally got Illustrator works correctly.

  I deleted the preferences file before you uninstall Illustrator. When the program is reinstalled this time, it worked.

  Version 8 format is the universal standard. I use it constantly in Cinema 4 d, for example.

  Kuler Panel is available in Illustrator, so you don't have to download an ASE file to use the colors in Illustrator.  Simply preferred a Kuler theme and it would be available in Illustrator.

  

  If you don't want to work with files of ESA, you will need to open the ASE file in the Menu library of Swatch of in the swatches Panel

  General information, it's that I have 16 drawings of different CAD I converted and edited in illustrator. I do basically a plank-contact with all 16 drawings so that they can be examined on a sheet of paper after printing. Each drawing is in its own unique file but I did not understand how to put everything on one page for printing.

  Try to do with the bridge. You cannot print all document tiled windows.

  I need someone else to be able to change the text in a pdf file I created from Illustrator. They have full acrobat should be able to change it. I tried myself to test before you send it, but it does not work. The original file has been created in Illustrator CS6 and saved in pdf format (text not created contours). I opened the file in acrobat and try it saved as file extended to be able to change the text but not luck. You will be able to highlight the existing text and replace it. I tried to change the text of the tool, but rather only a selection box around each line of text, it puts a selection box around the text. I can highlight the text and delete it, but I am unable to change it. Each individual text line should be editable. Is there something I need to do differently in Illustrator so it can work correctly in Acrobat?

  This really isn't an appropriate use of Acrobat. You should all use the same editing tool (i.e. Illustrator).

  Extension of files reduced the amount of editing Acrobat can do, it does not increase it.

  The editing of text in Illustrator tool would be to edit the text Document. There is no guarantee that it will divide nicely in lines, it is trying to help by making the text of paragraph.

  In theory, you can use a form for this (fill in the blank for dates) but really, you should use the same tool. Not necessarily Illustrator, more Excel or specialist software calendar.

  We have an employee that stores its files Illustrator CS6 in a personal folder located on our network and at the launch by double clicking on the icon of the file that it brings up the "File not found" error message, however, the file opens upwards of in the program of the Illustrator himself by selecting the 'File' menu and navigate to the location of the file of the application.
