  you want to lock and unlock the despicable individual within a layer right? If you click the arrow of the layer, it will develop to show the objects that you can then scroll to your object (s) you want and lock them, then just unlock them when finished. you don't have to unlock the entire layer.

  also, on a related note, in cs4 and cs5 you can double-click on an object and edit it in itself even if it is bundled with something else.

  1. what happens when you connect any USB device to the computer, or trying to shut down the computer after hibernation?

  2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  3. did you of recent changes on the computer?

  4 when was the last time it was working fine?

  Yes, it's a weird bug. It affects other functions when open dealing with scripts with several documents. You really need to make sure that everything you do on a particular file, you must have this file in the current document. For example, you can not duplicate the layers in a file that is not the active document. I'm sure there are other examples, but this is the one I met.

  Can you please confirm the operating system on which you installed creative cloud.

  If you are able to install all the applications successfully there is not need to run as 'Administrator' in 'root' on Mac and windows.
