Unreadable drop-down lists

I've updated Thunderbird to the 31.4.0, version and now I have strange unreadable drop down (see attached photos). While I move the mouse on the lists, they are acting strange (as shown in photo 2).
My setup: laptop computer Samsung and Win 7 Home Edition.
Thank you!

Alexander

Just a thought, you have updated your graphics card drivers? My problem with the drop down menus of TB were fixed when I updated my Nvidia driver.

• How to restore the search bar drop-down list and the search engine icon today as it was in version FF 33?

Some ealier time, I managed to go back to the drop down list via editing about: config and setting browser.search.showOneOffButtons to false.

But yesterday firefox asked me to improve my search and I agreed. After that, I see ugly new tile instead of the drop-down list.

How can I go back to find it is old menu drop-down appearance?

"browser.search.showOneOffButtons" was a temporary pref which lasted from Firefox 34 upward through 42 of Firefox. The underlying code that have supported this preference is gone like Firefox 43.

https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/ has an option for old search (experimental) in Options of CTR > UI (1)

• I need to rearrange the order of the 'required securities' at the top of the drop-down list bookmark.

Hi, useful friends Firefox,.

I need help to reorganize my combo of bookmarks to make things run in the way that I like. I am former fighter user of Firefox (and Mozilla/Composer etc. way back when). I use Firefox 42.0 on openSUSE 13.2. These two are completely up to date. I'm a fan of Firefox, which is the only browser that I use on my laptop.

My question is about how to prefix some unwanted with "ZZZ -" titles to make sure they appear only at the bottom of the drop-down list of bookmarks, rather than at the top. The problem is that these six tracks only appear on the list box dropdown bookmarks when I press < Alt > + < B >. They do not appear in the window "library / all bookmarks" in a way I can modify them to insert the prefix. The six titles that I want to move to a more appropriate (and less prominent) space in the list are:
View all bookmarks
Bookmark this page
Subscribe to this page
To bookmark all tabs
Bookmarks toolbar
Download bookmark modules

I won't be taken away entirely optional. That's why I wish they were downstairs. I just want to get them out of sight, since I was a very organized hierarchy within my bookmark system. I always use strikes, never the pointer clicks, allowing access to my favorites. Those with six in my view area when I opened my favorites to get some desired that URL seems unnecessary. By placing a prefix ZZZ - in front of them, they in alphabetical index would be at the bottom of the list, rather than at the top.

I would like any ideas you have to help me move these six titles.

Thank you

Dave

Those are the elements that appear in the list by default.
You can try to give them a higher value of - moz-box-ordinal-group to reorder the items and move them down.
All items have to - moz-box-ordinal-group: 1 by default.
You can set the number to set a specific order of each of the elements.

Add code to the file userChrome.css below default @namespace.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

#bookmarksToolbarFolderMenu,#bookmarksMenuItemsSeparator {-moz-box-ordinal-group:10}
#bookmarksShowAll, #organizeBookmarksSeparator {-moz-box-ordinal-group:15}

#menu_bookmarkThisPage,
#subscribeToPageMenuitem,
#menu_bookmarkAllTabs {-moz-box-ordinal-group:11}

#menu_unsortedBookmarks {}

The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

If Google is my default search, can I go and change it if I want to do a search for GMaps; only the default is in the search drop-down list.
So I have to change the default to Google Maps then back to Google to search for one.

I have it! It's the topic: config "hiddenoneoffs" where the 3 elements of google, maps and mcafee have been included. There was no space between Google and maps. I put one in from Google Maps. She appeared in the first box-ff, but not sure about the search in the second time zone. I went back to the subject: one-offs. Safe search was shown with a space after Secure. I took out the space. Safe search arose in the 2nd single search box!
Weird! This is contrary to how they show in the search parameters.
Can I have messed that when Firefox has been reset all the search engines on an update, but I do not.
Either incidentally, I tried to re-installation characteristic but the file comes down as a .dmg that I'm not familiar with and don't apparently is 8.0 to win because he couldn't open it. Thank you once again.

Look for these wrong email addresses in your address book and remove them.
Make sure to look in all address books you may have, including the "collected addresses".

• Behavior of the drop-down list

Greetings,

When I click on the bookmarks drop-down list opens. However, instead of appear suddenly, it begins at the top right and zoom out until it is complete. When I had too much bookmarks it was OK but now it's getting boring. I don't know if it is a feature of FireFox, but if it is I don't think. Is it possible to have just the drop just open fully?

Thanks for your help!

Thank you jscher! That solved. Interesting that he took and add in. Sounds like it should be an option can be set in this fine browser.

Avira virus control icon is on my desktop, but the icon also suddenly appeared on the right side of the search bar. I deleted it because I have it on the desktop. I have no why he appeared suddenly. It is my 3rd session today. I had not changed anything in previous sessions, so don't know why the drop down menu has disappeared.

Hi, hopefully a screenshot can make things more clear - when you right click in the area of the red dot, then a popup menu will appear where you can re-enable the toolbar of bookmarks.

• How to change or remove a line from a drop down list?

I have a spreadsheet Numbers drop down box that shows the 3 lines of the text when I start typing the text in the cell. I have to enter the same text 3 times during the construction of the document. How can I remove 2 of these lines of text?

Hi Brudduh,

Click the cell that contains the context menu,

Click on the brush to Format to open the Format Inspector and click cell.

The Inspector displays the menu items in the context Menu in this cell.

• To remove a menu item: click on the item to select. Click the button below the list.
• To edit an item: double-click on the item to select content. Modify if needed.
• To add an item: click on the button +. Type the content of the element.

To use the same drop-down list in a different cell:

• Click the cell that contains the menu to select. Copy.
• Select the cells to the same menu. Dough.

Kind regards

• Why has the drop-down list of search engines under a simple list to a field of identical icons?

Until the most recent update from the drop-down list of the available sites in the search box was easy to read and simple to use. Being able to target its research so easily and conveniently was one of the attractive features of Firefox.

Now, I am faced with a range of more often indecipherable and in many icons that can lead to confusion of case. I hate it and I want my simple ad verbal back!

Yes, mousing over the icons and hovering will reveal what they represent. But to have to do this each time which was a quick routine and practice irritating slow and clumsy.

Please give us at least choose to have icons or a list. Please...

• Drop-down list boxes & menu bar drop-down lists don't no projection in 32.0

Just upgraded to 32.0 Firefox on my laptop under Windows 7 Professional, for some unknown reason, drop-down boxes on different websites and Firefox menu bar lists drop-down would not show. When you click in the drop-down boxes, blue they just (as usual), but the list would not show. Firefox menu bar drop-down list behave the same way.

I restarted Firefox in safe mode and this problem does not exist. I suspect it's something to do with the "Default 32.0' under 'Appearance' (as it has been disabled in safe mode). There is no 'Disable' button visible to delete this sub mode. Obviously I can not remove this in SafeMode either.

I hope you can help as no setting change made during the upgrade and it has become unusable (so go to Google Chrome in the meantime).

Looking forward to your reply soon.

Then he caused either by one of your modules or hardware acceleration.

It's the default theme, and it is not actually disabled mode without failure.

• Help: Autofill numbers in drop-down list to another table

Hello world

Does anyone know how to automatically fill in a table of the value of the other table, based on the selected menu drop-down on the main table.

As you can see on my pictures, my main table, I have a drop down list, so I have to be able to automatically to the second table based on the category that I chose to put the quantity. For example, I choose LIFE, then the amount will also be the second table where the arrow is pointing. What will be the formula on the designated table?

Thank you.

Hello Adrian TitikTemu,.

As a reminder, you want autofill value of 1 sheet on a column on sheet 2 in number. One of the members of our community of colleagues gave some great instructions on how to proceed in this post:

https://discussions.Apple.com/thread/7554247?start=0 & tstart = 0

The response of Apple recommends that Barry has a few milestones to help in a situation like this.

• How can I sort alphabetically in the drop-down list in the Tools menu of Firefox?

The Tools menu has a drop-down list, but the entries are not in alphabetical order. Options and a few individual add-ons/extensions appear in the list, but not in alphabetical order. It would be useful to them in alphabetical order in the list, however, I can't find any option to sort. Did I miss a hidden, built-in option for sorting? Is there an add-on may be providing a way to sort? Someone has an idea? I have not found anything this either in my research on the subject... just what is the sorting of bookmarks. But it's the combo of Tools menu I want to be able to twist. Anyone?

There is no built-in opportunities to change the menus of the application. The easiest way to do this is by using the editor from Menu Add-on.
