Unresponsive programs in Windows 7
I'm quite new to windows 7. got a laptop with her on it for Christmas 2010. I like the laptop, but its irritating the life out of me with the constant late development of programs does not always. I still need to do my homework and my whole class are online
my laptop has the entry door
It has 4 GB of ram
a 500 GB hard drive
trion IIx2 AMD P540 processor
I have comodo for my antivirus and firewall
and havnt put many programs on it
[I have aim, yahoo, comodo, winamp, superantispyware, malwarebytes, ms office 2007 Professional and a few other things] hard drives got a ton of free space, I keep it as small as possible programs and race as little as possible running system process, and I constantly get the (not answer) and it takes forever for it to start working again
What is the problem? What can I do about it?
What is unresponsive, it is Internet Explorer or Windows Explorer, both, or all applications? Is your 64-bit machine? Was it summer behave this way since Christmas? Has it ever run OK its "short life, maybe it's something, you must report it to the manufacturer, you wouldn't be the first person to receive faulty goods."
Have you tried to test in 'Safe Mode with Networking'? If there is a significant improvement in Mode safe mode then try the second article too in order to isolate any possible cause.

No of your install seemed a bit odd at the time, or are they all in without problem?
If I was a man game then I would seek to Comodo (at least to check the recent updates). You have the free Comodo Firewall or you have the full Suite of Comodo Security with the included antivirus? Do you use other security programs at the same time and they face each other in real time? For example is Superantispyware or Malwarebytes, running under the name real-time scanners too?

Hi Lithium55,
· Did you do changes on the computer before the show?
Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:
Method 1: Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.
To run the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
a. click Start, click run and then type cmd in the box start the search.
b. right click on cmd in the list programs, and then click run as administrator.
c. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password or click on continue
d. at the command prompts, the following line and press ENTER:
sfc/scannow

Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)

File system (CFS) Checker
Method 2: I also suggest that you scan your computer with the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Important: While running scan on the hard drive if bad sectors are found on the hard drive when scanning try to repair this area if all available on which data may be lost.
Let us know if it helps.
