Untrusted connection is missing section "I understand the risks".

Run Firefox 33.1.1 on Windows 7, try to access https://code.google.com. I get the page "this connection is untrusted", (specifically sec_error_unknown_issuer), but there is no section "I understand the risks" to allow me to add an exception. Other posts have suggested trying to 'forget this page', who has not solved the problem, or "Ce Frame: Open image in New Tab", which does not appear on right-click in this case. I also tried to go in 'View Page Info' but there was nothing out there for me to add the certificate either.

Open the chrome URI by pasting or typing this URI in the address bar to open the window "Add the Security Exception" and to check the certificate:

  • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL

In the field location type and paste the URL of the Web site

  • retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
  • inspect the certificate via the "view..." button. »

If I wanted to get the certificate warning when connecting to my email provider's e-mail server, I would like to seriously check the offered certificate. There should be no exceptions to this need in the first place.

Certificates are there for a purpose, and is not simply to add an exception when it does not work.

  • "I understand the risks" missing option - page is read from cache

trying to access the Web site, I am facing a security warning because the certificate is self-signed.
This is an internal site, which is currently the subject of tests - so it's ok to add an exception.
the question is, the option to select "I understand the risks" is totally absent, the only available action is "get me out of here"

Since it is an internal site under our control, I did a few tests more:
It seems that firefox redirects the initial http request to https
This does not happen on other browsers (chrome and IE), also tested in a clean install of firefox running without the extensions.

even after completely cleaning the cache and temporary files, question remains.
This site (over http) does not load on firefox, always redirected to https

even after deleting the server mod_ssl apache and by eliminating completely any mention of the ssl on that server, connection with firefox always redirects http to https (now results in the error "Unable to connect to Server" - but still not to load the basic site http version)

    Amir.

I forgot the screenshot of SQLite Manager.

  • How can I remove an exception made by clking "I understand the risk?

Went on the website and received no reliable message and accidentally click on "I understand the risks". How to I reverse this trend? I don't trust this site.

Hi robinandjon, you can cancel when you enter in the menu > options > advanced > Certificates > view certificates > servers tab and remove the certificate of the site in question.

  • The message "this connection is untrusted" yet once after having selected, option "I understand the risks", that is not reappear as an option

I get these messages to Hotmail.com even, as well as the mozilla Web site. In fact, I'm on Chrome now for the first time because this is a new issue and I don't know why all of a sudden what happened. Added exceptions, I always get the message. This is not the common THREAD issue because these aren't executives as described in the other responses to this problem. I have RESET FIREFOX and although it's getting a little further with HOTMAIL.COM screen now remains empty. Support MOZILLA page is caught in the trap in an older format and not in its State Advanced. I also deleted the cert8.db file that was not working. the error message on the page is the same sec.error.issuer. I am also using Avira antivirus personal free and tried to uninstall and reinstall as it seemed to have a few features missing, but to no avail. I don't know how to disable parsing of SSL with AVIRA even though I looked briefly online. Not sure where from here, but to suffer with an old install of Firefox which does not allow me to view videos from youtube etc.

OK, unfortunately the transmitter of fiddler2.com in the certificates could be a sign of unwanted software on your pc that is to intercept the secure network traffic. go to the system control panel and uninstall programs such as BrowserSafeguard, BrowserSafe, backup or other software that seems suspicious and did not get intentionally installed by you.

Hi ianiab, the settings Firefox (profile folder) folder is hidden. To find cert8.db and other files, you can access the folder from inside Firefox by using either

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should start a new window of Windows Explorer that lists your settings files and different subfolders.

Note: Please close all Firefox Windows completely before you rename or delete settings files.

  • Untrusted connection during the visit of Twitter

Hi, I just got my HP laptop having been in repair for three weeks. I just tried to visit the Web site I visit most, Twitter - with a warning of "untrusted connection". Come on, it's TWITTER we talk, one of the sites most visited on the internet!

Anyway, I googled the problem and found this webpage http://kb.mit.edu/confluence/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=4275352 - I downloaded the link provided and by chance I don't check the box as the order of and continued to move forward by accident. I cannot now find a way to make twitter or removal of this certificate thing I installed.

I would also like to point out that just before I typed this, I got the same caveat on this same site during registration! However, this time I just pulled on I understand the risks.

I also was in my settings and added one thing to trusted site, but that did not work.

Check the date and time of the clock on your computer: (double) click on the clock icon in the Windows taskbar.

    See also:

See if you can find the exception in Certificate Manager.

I can't navigate almost any Web site without getting this error. I tried setting the date / clock and I delete the cert8. data in the firefox profile. Nothing works.

Also, when I find certificates, it is said that it will not be activated until 07 21, 2014? What is happening with this?

    Can someone help me please...?

You can retrieve the certificate and check details such as WHO issued the certificates and the expiration dates of certificates.

    • Click on the link at the bottom of the error page: "I understand the risks".

Let Firefox recover the certificate: "Add Exception"-> "get certificate".

    • Click on the "view..." button. "and inspect the certificate and the Coachman, who is the issuer of the certificate.

You can see more details like the intermediate certificates that are used in the details pane.

If "I understand the risks" is missing, this page can be opened in a (i) frame and in this case, try the shortcut menu and use "Frame this: Open image in New Tab".

    • Note that some firewall monitors connections (sure) and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the certificate of the Web site.
    • Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in such a case, so only use it to inspect the certificate.
  • Untrusted connection Firefox

I tried all possible ways to correct this error, none of the work site, the only one which is yahoo and they all say the same error

If you normally connect to this site without problems, this error can mean that someone is trying to impersonate the identity of the site, and you should not continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST) to specify that Firefox didn't connect safely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.

www.Google.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown. The server may not send the appropriate intermediate certificates. A certificate of origin additional should be imported. (Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)

There are security software such as Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET which intercepts secure connections and sends its own certificate.

If you cannot inspect the certificate by "I understand the risks", then try this:

Open the "Add Security Exception" this URL chrome by pasting into the address bar of Firefox and check the certificate:

    • chrome://pippki/content/exceptionDialog.XUL

In the field of location of this window, type or paste the URL of the Web site.

    • retrieve the certificate via the button 'Get certificate '.
    • Click on the "view..." button. "to inspect the certificate in the certificate display

You can check details such as the issuer and the certificate chain in the Details tab of the certificate display.
Check which is the issuer of the certificate.
If necessary, you can attach a screenshot that shows the display of the certificate.

  • What are the risks involved in the Migration of Oracle 7 database to oracle10G

    Hello
As a requirement of business me are necessary for the migration of our current production (Oracle 7.3.4) database to Oracle 10 G R2.

I need to understand the risk involved in the affirmative and corrective action necessary.
Your small contribution is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards
    Vijay

I did the migration of Oracle 8.1.6 to 10g database. Although I wasn't about many questions, questions I have met have been documented in Metalink. First, you will need to do a test migration, a UAT and then go to know the risk to go into production.
I think you need to upgrade to 8.1.7 and migrate then import/export 10g directly. I had faced problems with the database with the Oracle Application database queues.

    Kind regards
    Marie.

  • Given the number of messages, impossible to find a solution to my "untrusted connection".

A Firefox a week ago and have been struggling with this problem since. 99% of the sites I visit have the "untrusted connection". I have tried the solutions such as playing with the settings of proxy and using anti-piqures malware to help clean up my computer, what could be the problem?

Yes, uninstall, sendori - it's just useless adware that is intercepting all the traffic on your network. You can also run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to ensure that adware is not present in other parts of your system as well.

  • Section of remote desktop connection has been disconnected due to the protocol error

    I used Windows 7.

I first run the Windows Firewall with advanced security. Then I run Remote Desktop connection. He began to load (as many times before) and then all of a sudden has generated a message from remote desktop connection "because of a protocol error, this section will be disconnected. Please try again from the remote computer"

However, try as I might I was unable to connect more.

I tried first in order to run the Windows Firewall with advanced security, then VNC Server nun, then on connection desktop remotely, but it does not work. Sometimes, I get a message that the remote desktop connection was busy. I turned off my PC, but did anyway.

I'm doing something wrong? Could you please give me a hand? Thank you in advance.
