Hello. I have a laptop HP 2000-2d69NR. I check to see if there is an update of the BIOS available. I tried to check on the page drivers and download, but I kept getting an error when it tried to scan my computer. My current BIOS is Insyde F.37, published on 26/06/2013. Is there a more up-to-date than that? If so, could a representative of HP send me a link to it? Thank you.

I think I solved the problem because now I think.

To check the HP site looking for updates to Win 10 and none were found.

But then I changed my version of Windows to win 8 then rechecked updates and there is an update for the touchpad dated March 2016.

Downloaded and installed, and everything seems OK so far.

    Thanks again.

    Hey @happypouch ,

These options will wipe your HARD drive and data. I create a back up of your documents by using the Windows backup and restore options. Unfortunately, most people think to back up their files, after that it's too late, it is better to ask for now rather than later.

    Thank you.

  • release of the bios hiden

    my laptop is hp g6-1105ee

I want to reveal bios hiden to install win xp

    can someone help me

    Please

    Hidden BIOS?

Press the power button and then immediately press the ESC key to call the start menu. Now, press the F10 key to access the BIOS.  You will need to find the secure boot enable\disable. Select off to be able to install Windows XP.

Good luck finding the drivers for Windows XP. Compile a list from the device driver before you uninstall Windows 7 or later do it the hard way. You know what is the chipset, the device wireless, adapter network and Webcam and other devices.

  • 2000-2b09WM HP: flashed the BIOS and now cannot see hard drives.

I was trying to install Win7-64 on this 200-2b09WM. I flashed the bios, and now BIOS can even see hard drives.

I used the 67259.exe softpaq file

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp67001-67500/sp67259.exe

Any ideas on how to solve this problem because I can not install andy BONE and can not boot from floppy, cause there's not?

Have you tried to boot with the Windows disk since the last error? If this laptop comes with Windows 8, it can have Secure Boot enabled to avoid booting from cd/dvd. Check the BIOS.

  • ProDesk 600 G1 BIOS configuration of the TPM secure through the BIOS Configuration utility

We have a range of devices, computers HP desktop and laptops in our environment.  Devices are all running Windows 7 64 bit and should have Bitlocker enabled, but we found that some were not encrypted.  So I am trying to set up a remote BIOS and Bitlocker config activate software that we can get out via SCCM and then embed in a task sequence image for new machines.

I use the Bios HP Configuration utility to check a BIOS password is set and then activate the TPM chip.  I took a BIOS config output of each of our models and created a settings file that has all of the TPM associated parameters of all models.

At the moment I run Setup BIOS utility manually for testing.  On all models I tried that works very well, except for the 600 ProDesk G1 SFF.

When I run the utility on the ProDesk 600 G1 MFS, it says that I have managed to update the settings, and when I check the BIOS, the TPM secure has been unhidden and the TPM Management was given to the operating system (two settings I change), but the TPM itself remains hidden.

It's the release of the BIOS configuration utility (it uses the 2.60.13.1 version, which uses plaintext passwords.  I also tried with the 3.0.13.1 later version that uses password files - same result)

    C:\ > BiosConfigUtility64.exe /cspwd: "password" set: "TPM_Config.REPSET"
    < BIOSCONFIG Version = "2.60.13.1" Computername = 'HP600G1' Date = "24/07/2014" Time = "13:01:37 ' UTC '1' = >"
    < SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "Embedded Security Device" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [hidden device]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [device]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
< SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "Enable security on the next boot" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [disable]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [enable]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
    < SETTING changeStatus = "pass" name = "The BONES of on-board safety management" reason = "' returnCode '0' = >"
    < OLDVALUE > <! [CDATA [disable]] > < / OLDVALUE >
    < NEWVALUE > <! [CDATA [enable]] > < / NEWVALUE >
    < / SETTING >
< SUCCESS msg = "Successfully set BIOS config." / >
    < information msg = 'BCU return the value' real '0' = translated = '0' / >
    < / BIOSCONFIG >
    C:\ >

And after a reboot (where it should activate the TPM), BIOS shows as disabled built-in safety device (see attachment for the image).

I have tried everything I can think of to get this to activate, including:

    • Different versions of the BIOS configuration utility

    • Remove the password from the BIOS and the application in the same order as the parameters

    • Different passwords

    • Reboot and allowing the machine to start completely to Windows before checking if the setting took effect

I also tried to add the utility and the commands for an SCCM package and it works directly and as part of a sequence of tasks to see if that makes a difference, but nothing I've done has activated the TPM module.

I know that the TPM module works, as you can turn it on manually and then Bitlocker can be applied to the machine, but with thousands of devices in our environment, I need to get this job without the need for manual intervention.

Has anyone else had this problem and found a solution?  Or has someone at - he managed to activate the TPM on the SFF of 600 ProDesk G1 using the BIOS Setup utility?  Any ideas / suggestions would be very appreciated!

P.S. This thread was moved from the company PC - Compaq, Elite, Pro for HP PC Client management. -Hp moderator of the Forum

This problem has now been resolved by HP.

They provided a replacement motherboard for the test machine I was using that solved this problem. I don't know what kind of motherboard failure could prevent the activation via the script TMP chip but not prevent activation through the BIOS menu, but as a replacement solved the problem, then it must be a hardware failure.

  • Re: Tecra A10 - where are the BIOS updated release notes?

    Hello

I have a problem with my Tecra A 10, it sometimes turns off.

I have updated BIOS 1.4 3.0 BIOS to see if it suits it.

I can not find the release notes to see what has changed between revisions of the BIOS, can someone point me to them?

    Thank you
    Dominic

    Hi Dominic

And now is the problem solved?

On the page of European support, you will not find this info but WE manage the page there are a few information about it.
Download page HERE you can find for us Tecra A10. Check the 3.0 update BIOS and look for info on the change history.

To be honest, BIOS are the same.

  • HP laptop, 2000 - 2a20CA: updated the driver WiFi HP - impossible to find all the networks etc.

HP 2000-2a20CA with Windows 7 64 bit laptop

Made a few updates to HP.

My Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 wireless adapter, now does not check the networks available to connect.

Tried to uninstall the driver in Device Manager, uninstall the device and back running and let it reinstall itself and a system restore to an earlier date before the initial download of the update. Even tried a download of Atheros.

Still will not see one of the available WiFi networks even though it says its permit.

To access my WiFi router, I had to manually enter IP address and details etc to access the router and internet.

    Clues?

    Thank you

HP 2000-2a20CA, running Windows 10 laptop

    Think its been solved.

Find a list of control for the problem and found that the "Remote Procedure Call" is not started and defined in the manual.

Spent in the car and started.

If that was the problem or not, I can now see all of the available WiFi networks.

    Thank you

  • HP Notebook 2000 2d00SM: update the BIOS on 2d00SM

    Hi all!

I'm looking how to upgrade the BIOS on my laptop. I tried to check it in HP Support Assistant, but I can't find any option it. No BIOS on the site.  Please, if you have an experience, advice me.

    Greetings,

    Milos

    milosb793

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but there is no update of the HP BIOS for your PC and Windows 8.1.

The last published BIOS update was January 24, 014, F.45 version - and that's for Windows 8.

HP configures the BIOS updates so that they are OS-specific version, so in all likelihood, if you try to run this update under Windows 8.1, it won't work.

  • flashing the bios on hp 2000 2b09wm

Uefi bios recovery does not work on my computer of nothingness has the .exe files that are bios I would like TO TRY to FLASH THE BIOS BUT I don't KNOW WHERE to GO.

If there is no need to update the BIOS, it is strongly recommended that you do not.   Updating the BIOS is an inherently risky thing to do. It is less, so with UEFI, but only if you know what you're doing.

If you absolutely feel that you need to update the BIOS, and then download the most recent BIOS update softpaq and then double click it. Turn off not your PC until it is completed. If you ignore it, you will find what is the risk of updating the BIOS and what means a motherboard 'bricks '.

The recovery procedure does that if you updated the BIOS at least once. That said. It does not work, but it can't be a copy of an old BIOS present in the partition HP_Tools on your hard drive for her to use at the moment.
