• Password printer EWS

  I've seen some messages lately where some users have forgotten happening ews of the printer.  I wanted to share the steps for fixing this issue.  Keep in mind after having completed the steps below you will need to put the printer on your network.  This procedure should work for models Officejets and Photosmart.

  1 Select the icon on the front panel of the printer wireless to access the wireless menu.

  2. Select settings.

  3. scroll down and select restore default network settings.

  4. Select ok.

  Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand you are trying to add security to your wifi of the Officejet Pro 8600 by changing the user name, password and SSID hiding. Now, you can not access it by using the username and password you set up.

  I would like that you go on the front panel of your Pro JO 8600 and restore the printer default settings (need to connect to your wireless again):

  Menu Configuration > Tools > restore default settings

  (1) requirement for access password turned OFF
  (2) default user name is ADMIN
  (3) password is EMPTY
  
  On the front panel of your 8600 JO set up the wireless:

  Menu Setup > network > Wireless Setup Wizard

  Once you are connected to your network, print your network settings page, get the IP address and access the integrated Web server. Here you can see all / manage all settings, including reset built-in web server's past Web integrated server.

  Well, hope THAT relatives or close friends, or you know the password (security key) of your network (SSID). You can connect to your router/access point to this knowledge, it should be the same on your computer. My suggestion, install the printer on YOUR COMPUTER, your printer will use exsiting information from your computer for a wireless connection, no need to input SSID and password printer, sometimes very difficult because the keypad of the printer.

• Security / reset the integrated Web site administrator password

  I use a HP Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One - C311a (PMN: CQ877A, Firmware: VEP1CN1137CR).

  While trying to set up the integrated Web site security administrator password, I used a generated password of 20 characters.

  After that, I was unable to connect to printer with the same password administrator settings. I also tried with the same password remove some characters at the end, one by one, just in case the internal password printer storage area has truncated less than 20 characters.

  I tried a partial reset, semi Full Reset, OOBE Reset, full Reset (through what appears to be a blue start menu) and clear derivatives. None of these methods erased the administrator password.

  Is there a specific command or method that would allow me to access administrative back?

  The full semi's to zero that would reset the password in your screenshot that you provided. • Router password

  I have a WRT310N router.  A computer (Vista) and the printer are wired and 3 other computers (XP) connect the wireless.  My wireless computers need to have my router userid and password entered each time they restart their computer and you want to print to the shared printer.  After entering the password printing works very well.  I can't continue what I won't give my password to these users, so that they simply cannot print if I'm not around.  I have my wired computer discovery network, file sharing and print sharing enabled.  I set my router for 'trust' of these computers.  I have Network Magic installed on the network and it says everything is fine.  I tried everything I read in these forums, and I can not find a configuration where my router does not have these users with a password every time they want to print.  Any advice would be appreciated!

  I replaced FormHandler password print and is getting printed. But the e-mail template jsp that uses request.getParameter ("newpassword") it shows as null.

  What could be wrong?

  Problem solved. I used request.getParameter ("newpassword") as suggested in other forums. When I went to null, it worked

  1.) can print via usb to the laptop window function 8.1, allows to print wireless from my smartphone Android based without direct WiFi router, connect to eprint, wireless with mobile router but can not print from my new hp laptop network is limited with! sign and the printer is not detected. (if printer problem, then it can not print from mobile and if problem laptop, he could not able to connect to internet I use.)

  2.) my computer laptop wifi direct support means can I Exchange offline like bluetooth and can my printer is my computer laptop wifi and I can connect from printer.

  3.) bluetooth teathering in andriod do not share internet on my laptop when I teather.

  None of your support team is able to answer all these questions and not even want to listen to. All what they just time passes I try for 5 6 7 6 hours wasted days. they have just replied to the request is transferred to the technical service of master.   USB and bluetooth internet sharing in 8.1 window I had to update my driver in the Device Manager I have updated ndis network driver that was yellow highlighted in color and it was not installed in window 8.1. After installation two teathering worked well.

  For direct wifi in the printer I just on my direct wifi on my printer and network printer highlighted me in networks in form of PRINTING HP 41 Deskjet 5520 series with signs ! in wireless. ! sign simply means the network is limited and cannot share internet. So jusst linked to that as network limited and then used software to connect as wireless HP printer. It worked well, but have still the issue with speed on the network even my signal is full. Wifi printer on the direct network access speed is very very slow, I'm connected.how to improve the speed, I don't know.

  Another issue is that my laptop is same average direct wifi capabilities to communicate with other devices can I create my own hotspot by laptop same name network HP-PRINT 41 Deskjet 5520 series in printer not supposed to share internet, but at least for wireless data sharing.

  I am trying to set up a printer for my father in law to use his tablet with a new printer

  It uses an Asus Tablet

  He just bought a compatible HP2540 wireless printer

  It features a wireless network put in place in his house - no access direct pc

  Router is old with no wps button to pair the printer and router

  I installed app eprint and can see the printer but when I try to connect - it does not and it asks for a password.  Of course - it is not the wifi password.

  The Android solution do not offer the capabilities of wireless configuration, walkaround, such use the EWS interface to connect the printer to your wireless network:

  1. On the printer control panel, press the HP direct wireless icon () for 3 seconds, a Direct report wireless print, including the password for the Direct wireless network.
  2. On the Android device, tap Settings > Wi - Fi and then select HP-Print - xx-[your printer model name] in the list of available networks. type the password printed on step 1.
  3. Navigate to http://192.168.223.1/.
  4. Select the network tab.
  5. Within the wireless section, select Assistant wireless and follow the steps for me onnecter to your router.
  6. Reconnect the android device save you your router.

  You can now print using the HP ePrint app.

• No computer

  I have an iPad 2 and that you just bought HP 5525 e printer all-in-one. I thought it was 'air print' capable. I don't have a computer. How to configure the printer to work with the iPad. Now I have to pass free Wi Fi for a unit to another on the iPad that prevents me from printing of course. Do I need a router or do I need to connect the printer to the modem? A USB cable is not included with the printer and I can borrow a laptop if necessary to put in place. Please notify. Frustrated!
