Update 2 tables by their SUMMIT on submit

In short, I need to update some columns on 2 tables on submit.

Table A
PK1
PK2
Date1
date2

Table B
PK1
PK2
Date1
date2

Table A and Table B have records that can be compensated by a combination of CP1/CP2.

If DATE1 is updated in the table needs to check table B for:
1. the match CP1/CP2
2. If A.date1 is null then using the B.date1
3. If A.date1 is not null, and then compare the two dates and if:
3. A.date1 > B.date1 replace B.date1 by A.date1
3 b. A.date1 < B.date1 replace A.date1 by B.date1

It goes the same for the DATE2.

Baiscally I need to be able to do what the code below does whenever the user clicks SEND.

merge into A a
using(
     select distinct
     pk1,
     pk2,
     date1,
     date2
     from B) b
on(a.pk1 = b.pk1 and a.pk2 = b.pk2)
when matched then update
set
     a.date1 = greatest(nvl(a.date1, TO_DATE('01011950','MMDDYYY')),
                                   nvl(b.date1, TO_DATE('01011950','MMDDYYYY')));
     a.date2 = greatest(nvl(a.date2, TO_DATE('01011950','MMDDYYY')),
                                   nvl(b.date2, TO_DATE('01011950','MMDDYYYY')));

I don't know the best way to go about this problem.

Thank you
Steven

As you indicate lack of knowledge w / PL/SQL...you can do the following to a SQL session, APEX directly or any tool SQL (as SQL Developer)...

create or replace package is

procedure update_records();

end ;

create or replace package body is

procedure update_records() is

Start

....

end;

end ;

So your call from APEX would be .update_records;

As you have the procedure working, up to you whether to move to a package.

  • How to avoid display a new record in a table before you press on submit a popup?

    Hi im using JDeveloper 12 c and I have a page with a table and a popup with a form of the same iterator.

    When opened the popup I do a createInsert and the normal behavior is that the table get a need row.

    But I was wondering if you know a (out of the box) approach where I can get a line inserted into the table after press on the submit button.

    I know I can do viewObject stripped etc... But I was wondering if you know an approach where I can hide that row is not presented.

    See the new line directly is because sending automatic PPR to the table when you add the row of the iterator. You can try to set the change event policy None for the iterator. In this case, you must send a ppr to the table after you close the popup window as the table will not update.

  • Text disappears by updating the table of contents

    I work with documents several pages that have been created by someone else in CS3 and then I convert it into CS5. Several times when I tried to update the table of contents, all text in the document disappears. All the objects to hold their positions and nothing else changes except that there is no visible text. I checked the table of contents style settings and can find no difference between a document that updates correctly and which don't. Around her, the only way is to copy and paste the content into a new document. This does not happen with all documents, only about 30%.

    Text disappearing when you update a table of contents is usually a symtom of havint put the table of contents in the main story line. The table of contents must be in a separate story, no wire to anything, because the update replaces the whole story.

  • Create a trigger instead of update several tables in a view

    Dear everybody

    I am trying to create a trigger that updates instead of to day joined several tables in a view, but I can't get my trigger to work. The create view command was as follows:
    CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW VIEW_MI_JOIN_GC
    AS
    SELECT MAP_INDEX.mi_prinx,
           index_type_id,
           original_map_publication_id,
           original_map_sheet_number_id,
           name_of_feature,
           geog_coordinates_id,
           GEOG_COORDINATES.mi_prinx AS "mi_prinx_polygon",
           GEOG_COORDINATES.geographical_coordinates,
           GEOG_COORDINATES.mapinfo_style_row
     FROM MAP_INDEX
      JOIN GEOG_COORDINATES
       ON geog_coordinates_id=GEOG_COORDINATES.mi_prinx;
    The view above connects a polygon table to the table of function names which means that a polygon appears several times in a view, even though one version of the polygon exists in the base table. This means the direct update of view cannot take place, since 1 polygon can appear multiple times in a view. The two original base tables and their columns names are:
    MAP_INDEX
    ---------
    MI_PRINX
    INDEX_TYPE_ID
    ORIGINAL_MAP_PUBLICATION_ID
    ORIGINAL_MAP_SHEET_NUMBER_ID
    NAME_OF_FEATURE
    MAPINFO_STYLE_ROW
    GEOGRAPHICAL_COORDINATES
    GEOG_COORDINATES_ID

    GEOG_COORDINATES
    ----------------
    MI_PRINX
    GEOGRAPHICAL_COORDINATES
    MAPINFO_STYLE_ROW
    Relax, I created was as follows:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER TRIG_VIEW_MI_JOIN_GC
       INSTEAD OF UPDATE ON VIEW_MI_JOIN_GC
          REFERENCING NEW AS NEW
     FOR EACH ROW
    BEGIN
     UPDATE MAP_INDEX
      SET mi_prinx = :NEW.mi_prinx,
          index_type_id = :NEW.index_type_id,
          original_map_publication_id = :NEW.original_map_publication_id,
          original_map_sheet_number_id = :NEW.original_map_sheet_number_id,
          name_of_feature = :NEW.name_of_feature,
          mapinfo_style_row = :NEW.mapinfo_style_row,
          geographical_coordinates = :NEW.geographical_coordinates,
          geog_coordinates_id = :NEW.geog_coordinates_id
       WHERE geog_coordinates_id = :OLD.geog_coordinates_id;
     UPDATE GEOG_COORDINATES
      SET mi_prinx = :NEW.mi_prinx,
          geographical_coordinates = :NEW.geographical_coordinates,
          mapinfo_style_row = :NEW.mapinfo_style_row
       WHERE mi_prinx = :OLD.mi_prinx;
    END;
    /
    The idea is that when I draw a new polygon in MapInfo and assign him a revised number geog_coordinates_id and the number of mi_prinx_polygon, which are the same, once I have save the view as then it updates the underlying tables. Geographical_coordinates and mapinfo_style_row of map_index table columns are columns with ancient polygon data which while not having currently new data inserted into them, are required for the previous data they contain. These data are currently being added to the geog_coordinates table with other scripts. The idea is that all the data is then read using a view and updates made to the view, triggering instead of relaxing, so data are not duplicated but still visible as if it were.

    When I created first the relaxation above in SQLdeveloper it seems to run constantly. Then my computer crashed, not related to this work, and I lost session because I did not commit it. I was not ready to commit it because I believe that something is wrong.

    I am in the trigger syntax correctly and I go about it in the right way? I want to only update the rows that have changed, that's why I was using: NEWS and: OLD.

    Kind regards

    Tim

    After updating my iPhone 6 (9.3.4) the WiFi signal becomes very low! I did everything, but the problem does not stop! I don't a not update my other devices & their very good WiFi signals. Please help me solve this terrible problem...

    Here's a tip for the user on the problems of Wi - Fi. Suggest from the top and bottom. Maybe one of them will help you.

    (1) restart you device.

    (2) resetting the network settings: settings > general > reset > reset network settings. Join the network again.

    (3) reboot router/Modem: unplug power for 2 minutes and reconnect. Update the Firmware on the router (support Web site of the manufacturer for a new FW check). Also try different bands (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz) and different bandwidths (recommended for 2.4 to 20 MHz bandwidth). Channels 1, 6 or 11 are recommended for 2.4 band.

    (4) change of Google DNS: settings > Wi - Fi > click the network, delete all the numbers under DNS and enter 8.8.8.8 or otherwise 8.8.4.4

    (5) disable the prioritization of device on the router if this feature is available. Also turn off all apps to VPN and retest the Wi - Fi.

    (6) determine if other wireless network devices work well (other iOS devices, Mac, PC).

    (7) try the device on another network, i.e., neighbors, the public coffee house, etc.

    (8) backup and restore the device using iTunes. Try to restore as New first and test it. If ok try to restore the backup (the backup may be corrupted).

    (9) go to the Apple store for the evaluation of the material. The Wi - Fi chip or the antenna could be faulty.

  • Programatically update af:table when clicking on createInsert af:button

    Hi all

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.2.4.0.

    Requirement:

    I have an af:panelCollection, inside I have a (Add) af:button and an af:table. Af: button creates an empty line in a table as createInsert. Now when I click on the Add button, it creates the empty line in the af: table. But the blank row is not visible immediately. It is visible only when I do another action in this page, as on some other tab and back.

    From my observation, I found that the updating of the table does not occur immediately.

    I want to create a blank line like createInsert done and immediately refresh the table so that the empty line is visible in the table.

    I tried to adjust the partialTrigger of the tab; the reference to the id of the af: button, but still not working.

    I tried to update the table in a pragmatic way during the click on the button, but did not work.

    Can anyone suggest me solution for this.

    Thank you and best regards,

    Susanto

    Try to update af:panelCollection and see.

  • What API can be used to update the table cs_estimate_details (repair)

    I need to update the columns 'pricing_context' and 'pricing_attribute1' in the cs_estimate_details table.

    Which API can be used to update the columns. Where can I update the table directly?

    Try to use this "CS_Charge_Details_PVT" which in turn call "CS_ESTIMATE_DETAILS_PKG".

  • How do I update the table in Jdev

    Hello

    I use Jdev 11.1.1.7.1.

    The control of data, I added that ADF only read the table. When I click on the button create and return to the report screen, highlight lines are added.

    Highlighted those who is not inserted into the DB table but he showed in the report. How to remove it. How can I update the table?

    Kindly advice me.

    Thank you

    Swathi

    That's what I got:

    -You have a table read-only, and a link to create.

    -When you press the link create a popup will be launched with a new record (may be a form in the same table iterator).

    -When you press save to save the changes validation triggers, stop you to insert the record.

    -After the fire of validation you will close the pop-up window (by pressing icon or by pressing Cancel).

    -After closure of the pop-up window, you will find that reading one table has some blank lines.

    If it is your problem if you have 2 choices:

    1. in the AppModule you can make a new instance on the view object (to which redirect the table) If your view object called 'EmployeesView', so, in AppModule, you should have EmployeeView1 and EmployeeView2 and your table may point to EmployeeView1, and when you create new line create in EmployeeView2 and after completing the creation you can run the query and then refresh the table (as shown in the following code).

    2 - the second option in the popup cancelListener link at the rear bean method then you can update the table by program as:

        DCIteratorBinding iter = (DCIteratorBinding) BindingContext.getCurrent().getCurrentBindingsEntry().get("TableIteratorName"); // from pageDef.
        iter.getViewObject().executeQuery();
        RequestContext.getCurrentInstance().addPartialTarget(getTableComponent());// from table Binding property bind it to object in back bean

  • Update the Table of Adf

    Hi all

    I have a page jspx, with a table and a button.

    Create the table data control, and it contains 4 columns

    (Name, card student, asked (Question or answer)).

    I create the code for the button to work

    1. Select a record

    2 send email

    3. when I send the request goes from Q to A

    All work fine. The mail has been sent. The demand for DB password Q has. But in my jspx table refreshes.

    Until I close and open again, it displays all the data.

    How cal I solve it?

    Thanks in advance

    Christos.

    Simply add partialTrigger on table pointing to the button.

    It will update the table when the button is clicked.

  • You need to update a Table on a regular basis. Incremental update on only records updated in the Source table

    Dear all,

    I have a requirement to extract the full details of human resources and payroll related applications Oracle HRMS tables.

    You will need to create a table with these values for a specific nationality.

    Post Table design, I have to periodically update this table, in that based on changes made to the Tables of basic Oracle.

    Ex: A Table like Structure:

    PERSON_IDNUMBER
    EMPLOYEE_TYPEVARCHAR2(80)
    BUSINESS_GROUP_IDNUMBER
    BUSINESS_GROUP_NAMEVARCHAR2 (240)
    STAFFNRVARCHAR2 (30)
    STAFF_NAME_ENVARCHAR2 (240)
    STAFF_NAME_ARVARCHAR2 (240)
    SHORT_NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    FIRST NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    LAST_NAMEVARCHAR2 (150)
    MIDDLE_INITIALSVARCHAR2(60)
    ASSIGNMENT_IDNUMBER
    TITLEVARCHAR2 (30)
    CATEGORYVARCHAR2 (30)
    MARITAL_STATUSVARCHAR2 (30)
    Date of birthDATE
    DOJ_COMPANYDATE

    This detail table is extracted from Oracle HRMS tabels like Per_all_people_F and Per_all_assignments_F etc. Not whenever a record is updated to say the employee's first name, I'll have to update this particular record for the employee. I am well aware of Materialized view feature. But I needed a faster solution, in PLSQL.

    I'm on a tight schedule. So any help is appreciated.

  • InDesign summary continues to change the font size on the update of Table

    As the title suggests, whenever I put up-to-date Table of contents in the page/updated implementation table of contents, the font size changes. The paragraph Style said replacements size 17 in alt text when I go over it. I want the font size to 12pt. When I clear the replacements he replaces the font size 12pt desires. But then when I update the Table of contents, it is up to 17. The whole style of entry is "Style of paragraph 3"Gets a little more the symbol next to it in the area of the paragraph on the front-end server after the Table of contents is updated. I don't know why and whence he resumed this substitution of font size. Help, please.

    fionm63618858 wrote:

    Thanks for your reply. How can I check the local replacements?

    Go to the headlines in the body of the text and remove all replacements the or redefine your paragraph style.

    I recommend strongly never use local derogations. Use paragraph styles!
