Hi Mikej1,

Welcome to the Microsoft Answers community.

(a) don't you make changes to the computer recently install/uninstall/upgrade link to level?

Reset the Windows Update components and then try to install the update.

To reset Windows Update components, visit the link below and click on Fix it touches / follow the troubleshooting steps do it manually.

If the above method fails then download the Windows install cleanup form link below and run it. It will be the installer cleaning, so that you will be able to install programs easily. Try now up-to-date KB974810 and KB974234.

The Windows Installer CleanUp utility is provided "as what" to help resolve installation problems for programs that use Microsoft Windows Installer.

If the above methods don't manually download the updates from the link below and install it. I suggest you right click on the downloaded file and select run as administrator to install it.
