  My computer crashed and I'll have to reinstall the CS5 Master Collection.  The installation went well until I check the updates.  He tells me that there is an update for almost all members of the collections.  When I run the updater, it shows that it downloads the files but once finish gives me an error.  The error that says "some updates failed to install" 'what follows could not install if you want to install these items, solve the problems below and try again.'   There is something to do with the help of CS5 > update function, but as far as I know it does work as expected more.

  When you have downloaded and extracted the file, right click and then click on "Run as Administrator".

  This should work for you. I had the same problem and did and everything worked.

  Looks like you have somehow the mac version.

• Updates fail repeadetly after reinstallation

  I had to reinstall Windows 10 and subsequently had to reinstall CS5 Web premium (upgrade version). This al is going well and all the work programmes (in other words, they are activated). But when I went to update, the process fails. Again and again, I get the message 'some updates could not be installed', with a list of the updates failed. And a link to the customer support (see screenshot). By clicking on the link brings me to this page: error: "this serial number is not for a product calling it" | Adobe Creative Suite. Which leads me to think that something is wrong with my activation.

  What I've tried so far (so please do not suggest to try one of these steps):

  • Uninstalled CS5
  • Ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe
  • Restarted
  • Installed new CS5 (strangely enough he did not ask me to enter the serial number of my version of CS3.) In the past, this serial number was requested.)
  • Had a very (very, very) disappointing chat with customer support. Basically, after explaining the problem, they said post in the forum. Not the kind of quality you would expect from a company selling high range software (sorry Sir, I can't help you, but I would like to get in touch with a colleague who can would have been more appropriate).

  This message is displayed under all updates, namely:

  I went through the process twice, but nothing helped.

  Try to directly download these updates. Adobe has revised their update methods so that the old MAO does not work as it used to.
