  I bought a license for Adobe Design Premium CS5 5.0 Win. For some reason any when I ran an update it gave me an error during installation. My goal of installing this version is because when I opened an extension .eps .indd file I get this error.

  Yes, it is possible that someone sends you files create with cs5 + versions and, if that is the problem, update will not help.

  That said, you should be able to install the latest updates of cs 5 by downloading the files directly and then apply them: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/updates/

  I have a full subscription to creative cloud that I use for my office, and I have a full license with a serial number for my home use. I disabled the numbered version series on a single computer at home and installed the master collection on a new home computer. I was on the phone with customer service for more than 2 hours, given to the third-party expert and am waiting again. I can't be the only person in the world with a creative cloud account and a numbered version series.
