  I update my phone 4S (9.3.2) about two or three months and I started getting stuck in iTunes whenever the new update comes (9.3.3 & 9.3.4). I sent my phone for repair of my friend twice and it is able to restore. 9.3.5 strikes and I've not updated but it could fail again. I discovered this serial number in the 'About' is different from the serial number in my drawer sim with a letter. What is causing the update of failure? I have not experience failure before updating.

  It could also mean that your sim card drawer or other parts of the phone have been replaced in the past.

  The firmware of the phone is jailbroken?

  I have updated my iPad 32 GB of Air problems

  It is running iOS 9.3.3 and wouldn't be updated for iOS 9.3.4.  Now he only will be not updated either 9.3.5.

  When I tried to update 9.3.4, I got messages saying that the update check has failed.  For 9.3.5, it just says: "year error occurred installing iOS 9.3.5" but does not specify what.

  For the two updates, I deleted files update downloaded and redownloaded them several times, without success.  It will not update via iTunes either.  The only advice that I can see anywhere on these issues are 1) download the update new - done and failed.  (2) refresh or restart the machine - made and failed.  (3) update through iTunes - no longer works.

  I have several GB of free space and the problem occurs even when fully charged and if hooked up or not.

  My iPhone updated fine, apart from a few glitches (with contacts and the app crashing) which seemed to be resolved.   I understand these updates are important security, so am eager to sort.

  I would like ideas.  Other than suggestions to do what I've done!

• Impossible to update iOS, cannot check my password

  I upgraded my iPhone 6 and iPad Pro iOS 9.3.3 without problem on my first Apple ID then I tried to update my iPad like 4 (currently on 9.3.2). I use an Apple ID secondary on this device and got the message "cannot control upgrade." An error occurred when checking for the software update. "I have reset the iPad and received a message saying that I need to enter my password after restart of the iPad. I've entered my password and got the message "audit failed. "There is a connection to the Apple ID server error". I then tried to disconnect from iCloud and got the same message. I logged on my secondary iCloud account using Safari on my Mac without problem.

  In summary: cannot update iOS, cannot check my password and can't log icloud for my iPad.

  Any suggestions?

  I had this problem when I upgraded to the office 2016.  Mine was cured by signing on iCloud and let it remove all files etc. on your PC, and then reconnect.

  A factory reset, are you saying that you restored the unit to the factory? There is no factory setting. Configure you it as news, but what kind of content you add to the device? You have not used your backup at all? If you restored to the factory and set up the device as new and do not add any content or use your backup and are still faced with a problem, then you must make an appointment at the Genius Bar to the nearest Apple store to have the material examined.
