Update iTunes does settle

I just got a new iPhone OS and tried the iTunes syncing but it says that my phone cannot be used because it requires a newer version of iTunes every time. I tried to install the latest version (12.4.3) from www.itunes.com but it does not appear on my macbook after the installation process. When I click on "Search for update" in iTunes, it tells me that this (12.2.2) version is the current version. How can I install the latest version of iTunes?

Hello

You will need OS x 10.8.5 or later to use the latest version of iTunes.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

  • After update on Win 10 mashine and rebooting, iTunes does not start. The clues why?

Clean install, via the Apple update, on 10 to win and host reboot, iTunes does not start. Don't hit anything, have not changed anything. Win 10 Pro updated to the last update. 16 GB OF RAM. Someone has an idea? That would be bad to reinstall because I had a lot of songs associated with him, not to mention the telephone contacts... Appreciate any advice.

RESOLVED: I restarted computer again, and that solved a problem. It seems that the first reboot has not played. Thanks anyway.

  • iTunes does not appear the option to check the iOS Software Update

I have a 6 more than 64 GB iPhone with iOS installed 9.3.5, laptop HP Windows 7 (SP1). The latest iOS updates bit (of IOS 8 or 9, I did "over the air" rather than connecting to iTunes on my laptop.)

This time, with 10 being released iOS and reading online on a certain number of iPhones in 'brick' update 'over the air', I decided to update by connecting via a USB/lightning cable to my laptop and iTunes.

When you open iTunes on the laptop by clicking on the device (iPhone) and the 'summary', she properly showed the current software on my phone (iOS 9.3.5), but no option for "check for updates". He also says "Connect this iPhone with a USB cable in order to update or restore it is a software", which seems strange, because it is connected via USB and is recognizing the version of iPhone software up-to-date and correct. After not being able to understand why, I have found also that iTunes 'control upgrade' says that v12.1.1 has been current. After some research online, I came across a Web site that shows iTunes was up v12.4.3 at the time of writing. Therefore, I went on Apple's site to update iTunes, as I couldn't do to in iTunes itself. I found that the latest version is 12.5.1.21 I downloaded and installed (without uninstalling the previous version first). Still the same problem. Then, I uninstalled this version latest and updated to iTunes on my laptop and reinstalled. Still the same problem.

I was able to 'Sync' and the phone to iTunes with no problem at backup.

    Can anyone help please?

I considered just take a chance and update the iphone software app 'Settings' of the phone with the ability to do a "restore" via iTunes on the laptop if I ran into problems. Then, however, I found that the button "backup restore" in iTunes was "greyed out" and not "clickable".

    Hi colboy58,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

If I understand your message that iTunes appears that a software update is available for your iPhone 6 Plus. Since iTunes showed previously that it was also updated, there is probably a problem with the security on your PC iTunes software to communicate with our servers.  Please follow the troubleshooting steps in the link below to get started:

  • Update iTunes 12.4.3.1

Since I've updated my Itunes to 12.4.3.1 all my playlists are gone and I can't find them anywhere. They have literally been deleted and I don't know how or why because it happened all of a sudden as soon as I updated. The songs are still in my Itunes - media folder so I am really frustrated because I can't understand it. I have not updated my songs since February because at the beginning I got lazy and after the update, I can't find the playlists to update songs in! Does anyone else have this problem?
